Robert Bond Horning, age 81, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.  He was born February 7, 1934 in Howard, Kansas, the son of Hubert and Jessie (Bond) Horning.

He graduated from Howard High School in 1952.  He served in the United States Army.  He met and later married Jane Bost at Trinity Episcopal Church in St. Charles, Missouri.  He worked as an industrial technology teacher for Hazelwood School District for 30 years before retiring in 1991.  He was a member of Old Fathers, Procrastinators,  Sioux Harber Kiwanis,  the McDonnell Douglas Sailing Club, and received a lifetime achievement award in the Boy Scouts of America Sea Scouts.

Robert was the loving husband of 53 years to Jane; the loving father and father-in-law of Sarah (Shawna Severs) Horning and David and Christine Horning, and loving grandfather of Ben and Calvin Horning.  He is preceded in death by his loving parents and infant brother, George Horning.

A memorial mass was held May 9, 2015 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 318 S. Duchesne, St. Charles, Missouri 66301.  Family and friends wishing to honor Robert's memory may contribute to Trinity Episcopal Church.
