Nellie F. Reeves, 84, of Winfield, Kansas and formerly of Cambridge, Kansas, passed away March 30, 2015 at William Newton Hospital in Winfield.  She was born July 17, 1930 in Round Mound, Elk County, Kansas to Fay Earl and Margaret (Underwood) Wilson.

Nellie attended Wolf Creek School and later Grenola High School in Grenola, Kansas.  She married LeRoy Reeves on June 30, 1947 in Sedan, Kansas.  The couple lived and worked on ranches throughout their married lives.  Nellie was a homemaker, and when the couple bought a cafe in 1988, she helped manage that.  She enjoyed cooking for large groups and spending time with her family. 

Survivors include her son, Roger Reeves and wife, Mary of Winfield, Kansas; her daughters, Barbara Knight of Winfield, Kansas and Lorri Downey and husband, Chris of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; her brother, Harold Wilson and wife, Virginia of Bella Vista, Arkansas; her sister, Wanda Wartick and husband, Wallace of Grenola, Kansas; 8 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Nellie was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Reeves on July 17, 1996; her brother, Bill Wilson; grandsons, J.J. McCann and Justin McCann; and son-in-law, Terry Knight. 

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 3, 2015 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield, Kansas.  Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Grenola, Kansas.  Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the funeral home where the family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Memorials are to the American Heart Association.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at www.milesfuneralservice.com.  Services are entrusted to Miles Funeral Service, 4001 E. 9th Avenue, Winfield, KS 67156.
