Wanda D. Stachura, 80, of Arkansas City, Kansas, died Friday, September 19, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Village of Winfield, Kansas.  Wanda was born March 31, 1934 in Grenola, Kansas to Emile and Bessie Kerfoot Fildes.

Wanda was reared and education in Grenola, Kansas.  She later attended Cowley College.  She married Edgar M. Stachura on October 12, 1963.  The couple made their home in Arkansas City, Kansas.  Wanda worked as a nurses aide for many years.

She is survived by her daughter, Toni Peterson and her husband, Paul Peterson of Bixby, Oklahoma; her sons, Fred Tyler and William Tyler of Moline, Kansas; three sisters, Beulah Huffman of Burlingame, Kansas, Betty Hayden of Wellington, Kansas, and Bonnie Thalen of Covington, Oklahoma; a twin brother, Darrel Fildes of Ponca City, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Lacy and her husband, Kevin Shoemaker of Claremore, Oklahoma; and three great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two brothers, Raymond and William Fildes.

Graveside services are scheduled for Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Parker Cemetery in Cowley County, Kansas.  The Reverend Stephanie Wall-Brown will officiate.  Arrangements are being made through Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home at Arkansas City, Kansas.  Online condolences may be made at www.rindt-erdman.com.
