Jeanette Linda Jenkins, age 58, of Moline, Kansas, passed away July 13, 2014 at her residence.  She was born May 18, 1956 to Willie and Linda (Salas) Jenkins in San Antonio, Texas.

Jeanette's mother passed away in 1959 when Jeanette was just three years old.  Willie later married Wilma Wiley, and the family made their home in Henagar, Alabama.  Jeanette loved spending time with her family.  In 2004, she moved to Candlerock Care Facility in Fredonia, Kansas.  A few years later, she moved to Moline, Kansas under the care of New Beginnings.

Jeanette loved watching sports, especially football, and she was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.  She loved cheering them on at Arrowhead Stadium.  She also enjoyed making hand-crafted jewelry that she would give as gifts to all her friends.  Jeanette liked working at the paper shredder with New Beginnings.

Jeanette is survived by her sister, Florence (Steve) Huser of Fredonia, Kansas, three nephews, and one niece.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother; and a brother, Willie Jenkins. 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014 in Henagar, Alabama at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel.  Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery near Henegar.  The family suggests memorial contributions to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice that may be left with Potts Chapel, 122 S. Penn Avenue, Independence, Kansas 67301 which is in charge of arrangements.
