Wendle Gene George, 60, a resident of rural Fall River, Kansas and formerly of Wichita, Kansas, died Friday, November 15, 2013 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.  He was born August 26, 1953 in Wichita, the son of Carl Gene and Josephine LaFon (Cooper) George.

Wendle was a self-employed body fender mechanic.  On March 27, 1980, he was united in marriage to Cynthia R. Bird.

Wendle is survived by his wife, Cynthia of the home; eight children, Elizabeth George, Carl George, and Josephine George, all of Wichita, Kansas, Kevin Fairchild of Ft. Worth, Texas, Casey Love of Sublette, Kansas, Sara George of Aspen, Colorado, Emily George of Fredonia, Kansas, and Jake George of Ft. Worth, Texas; his mother, Josephine Zimmerman of Fall River, Kansas; and thirteen grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his father, Carl George.
