Roma Dare Wunderlich, a resident of Piedmont, Kansas and formerly of North Carolina, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at her home in Piedmont.  She was born in Beulaville, North Carolina, the daughter of Foy and Esther (Wallace) Kennedy.

Roma worked many years doing clerical work and worked in the banking industry.  On April 29, 1994, she married Micky Wunderlich  in Howard, Kansas, and they made their home in Piedmont.  Roma loved to spend her time cooking. 

Roma is survived by her husband, Micky, of the home; 2 stepsons, Michael Wunderlich and wife, Amber of Derby, Kansas and Gabriel Wunderlich and wife, Mariana of El Dorado, Kansas; daughter-in-law, Ann Miller of Beulaville, North Carolina; brother, Jim Kennedy and wife, Jean of Charlotte, North Carolina; mother-in-law, Shirley Wunderlich of Piedmont, Kansas; grandchildren, Lesley and Kerry Miller, Kayla Wright, Landon, Raylan, Kyler, and Caden Wunderlich; and many nieces and nephews.  Roma was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Paul Darien Miller; and stepdaughter, Jeris Wunderlich. 

A memorial service will be held Monday, October 21, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Countryside-Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas with Pastor Robin Haines officiating.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Diabetes Association and may be left with the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.  Arrangements are entrusted to Countryside-Zimmerman Funeral Home, 206 E.
