Mary Lou Mills, age 82, a resident of Moline, Kansas, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.  She was born in Moline, Kansas on February 23, 1931, the daughter of Sherman and Eva (Wall) Perrigo.

Mary Lou was a graduate of Moline High School.  On August 7, 1949 in Moline, she married Calvin Mills.  Mary Lou and Calvin were married for 56 years until his death on April 27, 2006.  She was a member of the Moline Christian Church.  She worked for 28 years for the Elk County Health Department.  She was  a past member of the Mother's Club, Order of Eastern Star, and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Mary Lou enjoyed watching and going to high school sporting events.  She  particularly enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren participate.  In her spare time, she enjoyed watching TV, especially the Wheel of Fortune. Her most important activity in life was to be with her family and friends.

Mary Lou is survived by two sons, Mike Mills and Mary of Moline, Kansas and Dan Mills and Anita of El Dorado, Kansas; daughter-in-law, Wanda Mills of Moline, Kansas; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Calvin; her two sons, Tom Mills and Gary Mills; and one brother, Don Perrigo.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 26, 2013 at the Moline Christian Church.  Visitation will be Wednesday, September 25, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Countryside-Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas.  Interment will be at the Moline City Cemetery.  Family suggests contributions to the Moline Christian Church and may be left with the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.  Arrangements are entrusted to Countryside-Zimmerman Funeral Home, 206 E.
