I asked for Strength...God gave me Difficulties to make me strong.
I asked for Wisdom...God gave me Problems to solve.
I asked for Prosperity...God gave me Brain and Brawn to work.
I asked for Courage...God gave me Danger to overcome.
I asked for Love...God gave me Troubled people to help.
I asked for Favors...God gave me Opportunities.
I received nothing I wanted...I received everything I needed!

All so very true!

When all my kids were home, one of my favorite posters was from The Family Circle. I don't remember exactly what it said but it was along the lines of "I asked for patience and God gave me the opportunity to practice using it." That was spoken by the mom with all the kids running around, yelling, screaming, etc.
