They are "stakeholders" only in the sense that they want something – and are holding the stakes that their government friends are driving through the heart of our constitutional rights.

With the assistance of Federal and State grant programs and willing politicians, who see another way to build their own power and get elected over and over, they rule over us like unaccountable dictators. It's the same story in nearly every community in our nation.

That sounds mighty familiar to what was happening here in Elk County and happening with West Elk USD 282.
You know, the end game around the taxpayers which will most likely end up in higher property taxes and even more property tas increases for maintenance of unneeded construction.

The school board wanted fewer school districts and the people gave it to them.
Now it will be much easier to place more people on the school board that reside closer to Howard and perhaps get more members that are associated with a NGO or two.

Go figure. Who would want to move to an area with the states highest property taxes and promise of even higher taxes possible.
I would think that would have an adverse effect on property values.

In fact people have been letting properties go to auction rather than pay property taxes on the properties.

There numerous properties up for sale and none are selling.

Go figure.
