Lora M. Fleek, 40, of Independence, Kansas and formerly of Indiana, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at her home.  Lora was born April 12, 1973 in Washington, Indiana, the daughter of Eugene and Mary (Mitchell) Wilson.

She grew up in Washington, Indiana, attending the Washington School System.  She later received her GED and attended the Ivy Technical Nursing program where she received a Bachelor's Degree.  Lora worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Water Nursing Home in Indiana.

Survivors include her father, Eugene Wilson of Indiana; her mother, Mary Mitchell of Howard, Kansas; two sons, Nick Bennett of Cherryvale, Kansas and Dallas Parker of Howard, Kansas; one daughter, Sabrina Parker of Independence, Kansas; two brothers, James Mitchell of Illinois and Aaron Wilson of Indiana; and three sisters, Gina Kiel, Katrina Wilson, and Yvonne Wilson, all of Indiana.

A graveside Celebration of Life Service was held on Friday, July 19, 2013 at the Neodesha Cemetery in Neodesha, Kansas with the Rev. Dave Creshiel officiating.  Burial followed the service under the direction of the Potts Chapel of Independence, Kansas.  The family has suggested memorials to the Lora M. Fleek fund, and contributions may be left with the Potts Chapel, 122 S. Penn, Independence, Kansas 67301.
