It was more than one ticket. We got the alert call from American Airlines first. There were tickets from Costa Rica to Miami and once we contacted our credit card company, there were several more on Delta from Miami to Texas. They all think they may be able to catch them as they think they might try to sell them back and get the money. Thank goodness we are not libel for the several thousand dollars, but it's a pain and makes things more expensive for everyone. We are pretty predictable with our spending and do call our charge card company, if we are planning a trip that might pop odd spending.
By the way, thanks to you all out there for the birthday wishes, especially on face book. There were so many it took awhile to read them all. I'm so flattered.
According to one on here, my friends are all in my head. HA!
I hope your ice storm was tolerable. We got some here last night, but being on the weekend helped a lot. There wasn't that much, the city had brined the streets before it came, and the ice was beautiful this morning in the sun. It's a busy week coming up. Two funerals, two doc visits and a finance meeting. No storms forecast...hope it holds. Have a safe week y'all.

Woo, the wind is really howling, with some rain too.
Some folks around here went to the womens' March in DC and there were about 1,000 in a little one in Wilmington, as well as several hundred at a local one here in Newark. Pres.Trump better watch his back...HA!
Joe Biden  and Jill came home by Amtrack Friday afternoon to a huge reception in Wilmington.  He was accompanied by John Carney, Tom Carper and a few others.  Some of our fire fighters went to join a large group of others to salute his long service. Oops, I just heard a call for a tree fallen into a house, with injuries. Trees and branches are falling everywhere. I'm surprised we still have power. Time for lunch with bingo tonight.

Good morning Elk County! So, it seems one of your number has fled,or is trying to. I hope he can find what he wants in Oklahoma. He better be careful that the pipeline doesn't go through his new property! HA!
We had that happen to us many years ago when Colonial pipeline came through PA. It went right behind Daddy's grape vine trellis. He got a nice check....twice. I used to enjoy watching the little piper that flew down the pipeline looking for leaks. We had a bit of snow and it's very cold, but should be this time of year. I've had the T V on constantly for the last several days. I can do what I need to around here with it in the background. Even my die hard Republican friends are wondering what they have unleashed. It remains to be seen. History is being made, that is for sure.

Our ground hog saw his shadow so it's 6 more weeks of winter for us. HA! Stay warm all.

Mom70x7

Yeah, well, we both know it's going to be 6 more weeks of something.  ;D ;D ;D

Been thinking about you - concerned about that prison and hoping you don't know any of those involved.

Just praying.

Sadly, I'd had the guard who was killed in First Responder class shortly before I retired. I also know several of the police officers who were dispatched. It's over now, but had everyone on edge for many hours. Thanks for thinking of us.

It is  very cold here and again very windy. Had a big old tree fall across Capitol Trail, one of our major local roads and it had to be closed for many hours. While it was cleaned up and the wires it took down were repaird. On the good side, the daffies are popping, the snow drops are bloominginsheltered places and even have some snow crocus blooming.
I see we are in the news again because of that Russian ship slipping up the coast. It's too far away for us to see from the shore, and really isn't anything new. People are spooked of course, because Washington is so unpredictable right now. Everything seems so out of balance. Will it ever settle down?

Catwoman

No.  Our society has slid so far off of center that it will almost take the second coming of Christ for us to get back on track.
