No matter what it's called, they're all the same with the same socialistic agendas. All of the prominent business owners, who can influence school, city and county governments, all have a say. Once you have enough counties on board then you're able to attack the state. Maybe Sam Brownback should take note of who is kissing his ass. Maybe they should look closer at where their grants are going. When it's all boiled down, with multiple different named organizations, there's still ONE leader. And for that leader to claim stupidity would be futile.

Sorry Shadow, just a figure of speech. 8) There has been a lot of political rhetoric going on everywhere as elections approach. I do not read those I have on ignore, and there are two now.
Why in the world would you read this thread just to hear you- know- who flail me? That is just strange. ;D ;D ;D ;D
I had my appointment with the retina specialist. The wrinkle is what he called "an irregularity" and needs no treatment.Whew! I am so relieved.  Have a beautiful afternoon.

You got that right.  It's a total socialist agenda.  Since the early settlers of Howard County never supported the Progressive Community outfit, today it's most probable that they would never join the modern version of Progressive Community called Elk Konnected.

Just the other day I was visiting with a businessman/farmer from Leoti, Wichita County.  He knew the Woodbury guy that had the Elk County Sheriff remove Ross from the meeting.  He mentioned that the last that he'd heard was that Woodbury was working the Tribune people - Greeley County, which is the next county west of Leoti.

Good news on the eyes. Cooler here today but need some rain.

Thanks Nancy. We've had another little warm up and it will be beautiful again today (70's) with showers expected tomorrow.I don't know what winter here will really be like, even though "bad" is predicted again, but we've had the best summer ever, I think. No frost yet. We haven't even had to turn on the furnace. Have a beautiful day everyone.

Well fellas it doesn't look like there is any construtive support for Kaminiska and Elk Konnected
from Delaware any longer. No denials to what has been exposed either .

Too bad for the lack of menaningful and intellectual dialog and transparency.

So it should be a vote for Doug Ritz and a healthy Elk County, Kansas.

Thanks Delaware Diane for nothing.

Happy Halloween ya all.

Yesterday was very interesting. For those who have had cataract and astigmatism surgery, it will be no surprise, but for me it was all new and very interesting.
Many of you will know the name Wills Eye Hospital from the big well known facility in Philly. My procedure was done at the Wills Eye Surgery Center here in Delaware. I was to be there at 9:00 for paperwork, then they took me back to pre op for questions from the nurses ,LOTS of eye drops, an interview by the anesthesiologist, booties to cover my shoes, a short gown top and paper bonnet, MORE eye drops, an IV for a mild sedative, EKG stickies, nasal cannula for low flow O2, a pulse Ox clip on my finger and a self inflating B/P cuff on my arm. Al hung out in the waiting area and researched a court case for the Planning  Commission to pass the time.
When they took me back to the OR, there were more drops and Dr.Kalin got started. It only took about half an hour and he explained every step. Fascinating! Afterward I was given a nice cold cup of Diet Coke, which really tasted good after having had nothing to eat or drink since midnight Tuesday. I came home with a clear shield over my eye, the usual dark glasses and orders for more drops at home several times a day, with more orders to goof off and not do much for the rest of the day. The great, cheerful staff couldn't have been nicer and my nurse, as well as Dr.Kalin called me last night to see how I was doing.
I saw him back at his office at 8:00 this morning, no shield needed except for sleeping, allowed to drive, but no heavy lifting... More drops for several more days. He was pleased with how the eye looks and so am I. The eye is still a tiny bit scratchy, but there was never any real discomfort or pain. I go back for another check in three weeks. Enjoy Halloween everyone!

Didn't have but a couple of dozen trick or treaters here. I had intended to go to the park tonight for the weinie  roast, but it is so cold. Just about 30 degrees right now. But I did make it outside for the fireworks show as I can see them very clearly from my back gate. Didn't have time to get chilled and had on my big coat. Ugh! I hate schlepping around a big old heavy coat. But that is Kansas, bake one day and freeze the next. And I do enjoy seeing the little ones when they come to the door.
