Sometimes I have to remind myself how truly self brain washed certain groups really are. By worshiping at the feet of certain bloggers, and immersing themselves in hours and hours of mental trash, they lose their ability to analyze and root out the total nonsense and misinformation being placed in their troughs for their mental swill. It happens here on the east coast too, but I am more aware of it in other sectors.
So now EBOLA is coming here from Mexico and South America? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D. Heck, if I were those illegals, I'd be more worried about catching chicken pox from the kids here.  Ebola? Really? ::)
What makes these panic mongers think only illegals bring diseases here? Legal travelers bring all kinds of viruses and germs of all kinds to where ever they disembark.
Every year influenza comes here. It has nothing to do with legal status. How about the Norovirus problems that happen on cruise ships?
The solution for rounded up illegals? quarantine! Then a trip back home.Drop 'em on the stoop of the local church. Easy to say, not emotionally easy to do.
We took a big provisions trip to BJ's.I shouldn't need any paper products, cleaners and shampoo, etc. for many months. Caught up with a girlfriend for lunch at Appleby's too. Nice to just sit and unwind.
Hope you all enjoy your weekend.

Here in Kansas we have had an outbreak of measles.  Brought in and dispersed at a sports event.  No illegals or missionaries from out of the country.  INHO it was caused by complacent parents who thought it wasn't necessary for their children to be vaccinated.

Diane Amberg

I also heard of one Kansas family that has Chicken Pox. They don't knew where they were exposed. Very frustrating

The purpose of vaccinations was to try to eradicate these childhood diseases that are potentially dangerous.  I would think that parents would want to protect their children in every way possible.

Diane Amberg

I've heard some folks who don't want their child to experience the pain of the needle and others who worry about very rare but real side effects.
As far as I'm concerned, the real danger and risk is in not having the vaccinations, especially for adults. My parents made sure we got everything that was available at the time and I've had boosters as my doc felt necessary. Some may not be 100%, but it gives one a better chance of avoiding illness. I remember my father being terribly sick in 1952 when he finally caught mumps from the local kids.
Back to Safety Town tomorrow.

Now that your primary has come and gone, I broke my rule and read what all the posters had to say. WOW! What will someone pay me to make an offer on Ross's place if he will move to Mississippi? I think I could cover it out of my one piggy bank. ;D ;) Talk about a sore loser.  Transvestites? Bi sexuals? WOOO...some body needs to put on his big boy skivies and, well you know. ::)
It looks like "We The People" of Elk County did speak out. Perhaps Mr Ritz, who I have no doubt is a very nice person, was hurt by Ross's out of district "help." I wonder how the next election will go?
Safety Town went very well and the kids were really cute. They took all the safety rules very seriously. It's interesting how sometimes someone who isn't a parent has more of an effect on the kids than the parents do. Perhaps it's the cool uniform.
The new sets of kid sized gear I bought were a real hit. They made hose teams with a long piece of cut off hose with a real nozzle attached, and put out several "fires." Tomorrow I go back for a parent session and graduation. The kids get to show and tell their parents what they learned.

In case you missed it, Diane:

Please listen to him below on this video... I can guarantee you won't regret it for a second!:

Well said, Trey. Well said, indeed. It's good to know you have America's back.

No, WARPH I didn't miss it.
Today we are having a steady rain, which we needed.I think SE Kansas had it first and sent it to us.
A bad day yesterday. One of my long term firehouse friends was visting Cape May New Jersey and had some sort of extreme diabetic episode. His sugar went  up to 800. The hospital thought he was a goner, but he is fighting back from organ failure and brain damage. We hope to be able to send one of our ambulances over to bring him back to Christiana Hospital in a day or so. He is still very grave.
Of course the loss of Robin Williams is a heart breaker.I saw him once in San Francisco about 40 or so years ago. He was doing street comedy out on a dead end street near Gharadelli Square having fun with all the passersby. He wasn't known then. I only remembered him because of the "Robin" first name and the super fast delivery. He will be missed.

I think he is a very compelling speaker. All Presidents can veto and when they should or shouldn't depends on the truth and intent behind the bill or bills in question.
I am not happy with the whole bunch right now because all they to want to do is neutrilize each other, so nothing can move forward. Very shallow in my way of thinking. This congress has done very little work that has any depth.
