West Elk Jr. Sr. High school recognitions

Noticed in the paper that the West Elk Jr. High Math team are once again SCBL Champs!  Their first place victory was accomplished with 177 points, the team that came in second has a total of 87 points.  Wow!!!

The prior week, the high school math team also came home with first place.  Congratulations to the students and all of their teachers!!

I also noticed that the FACS teacher at West Elk was named Kansas FACS teacher of the year.  Congratulations Mrs. Qualls.

Congratulations to the school board, school administration, teachers, parents and most of all to the students., on a job well done. West  Elk has done this almost every year. Even more important is how well the students from West Elk do when they go on to  higher education levels in Colleges and Universities. I know several that have been on the honor roll at universities.
