Schools War Against Children

My wife and I have life-long interests in the questions "how do we know what we know; how do we learn?" Thus, we watched an interesting film, "A Touch of Greatness," about Albert Cullum, a teacher whose methods reflect the importance of alternative approaches to helping children learn.  Cullum wrote a book, titled "The Geranium on the Windowsill Just Died But Teacher You Went Right On".  The book was dedicated "to all those grownups, who as children died in the arms of compulsory education."
