Marilyn Miller Ewing just posted on Facebook that her father, Glenn Miller of Howard, passed away this morning.  I believe Glenn was 98.  Glenn was a longtime banker in the First National Bank in Howard and very active in the community and First United Methodist Church.

A Celebration of Life Service is tentatively planned for Saturday, February 9, 2013.

More details will follow when received.

Glenn was one of the finest individuals I have ever known. He was a Seabee in WWII, later worked on drilling rigs in Louisiana. My wife worked for Glenn in the First National Bank at Howard, she said he was one of the finest people she ever worked for and with. Glenn and Pauline celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary this past year. We were fortunate to attend their celebration dinner and gathering.
Glenn graduated in the Howard High class of 1933.
