William Roy "Bill" Watkins, age 66, a resident of Howard, Kansas and formerly of Moline, Kansas, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, Kansas.  He was born November 21, 1946 in Russell, Kansas, the son of Lloyd Earl and Ida Mae (Mefford) Watkins.

Bill was a graduate of Great Bend High School Class of 1964.  After high school, Bill moved to Wichita, and in 1978, he moved to Moline, Kansas.  On May 20, 1978, he was united in marriage to Sharle Melea Carter in Howard, Kansas.  He was a self-employed auto mechanic.  Bill was a member of the Moline United Methodist Church and the Elco Investment Club.

Bill is survived by his wife, Sharle "Shae" Watkins of Howard, Kansas; one daughter, Janelle Wells; his father, Lloyd Watkins of Lenexa, Kansas; one brother, L. Earl Watkins of Lenexa, Kansas; and three grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Ida Watkins.

Per Bill's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Moline United Methodist Church.  Family suggests contributions be made to the Moline United Methodist Church and may be left with the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.countrysidefh.com.  Arrangements are under the direction of Countryside-Zimmerman Funeral Home, 206 E.
