As POSPOTUS Barack Insane-Hussein-Obuma prepares to take his gun-control carnival on the road again, and as Demo-rat Gov. Andrew Cuomo's "radically broadened" and vague seven-bullet-limit gun control law for New York was suspended "indefinitely," a showdown is brewing.

Republican Senators Rand Paul of Kentucky, Mike Lee of Utah, and Ted Cruz of Texas are threatening to filibuster on the pending Demo-rat-controlled-Senate gun-control legislation.  These senators, new to Congress and with fearless spines of steel, are proving to be the embodiment of conservative values, fiscal responsibility, smaller government, and constitutional adherence.  Go get 'em, guys!

White House: GOP filibuster on guns would be 'unfortunate'

OOOooooooOOO.... You've been warned.  :P

From: http://www.politico.com/politico44/2013/03/white-house-gop-filibuster-on-guns-would-be-unfortunate-160231.html

White House press secretary Jay Carney suggested Tuesday that GOP Sens. Ted Cruz, Mike Lee and Rand Paul are out of step with the public on gun-control measures.

The three lawmakers have threatened to filibuster "any legislation that will serve as a vehicle for any additional gun restrictions."

Carney said he hasn't spoken with President Obama about the threat, but the White House position is clear.

"Filibusters of efforts to move forward with common-sense measures to reduce gun violence would be unfortunate," he said. "We have worked with Congress, with the Senate, to try to advance the elements of the president's plan that require legislative action and these again are common-sense measures.

Clown-In-Chief Obuma To Use Mothers Of Gun Violence As Political Props To Push His Anti-Gun Agenda At Event To Mark 100th Day Since Newtown

Shameless as ever... any excuse to make a speech and conjure up more grief on these poor Mothers

From the Hill:
http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/290587-on-newtown-100-day-anniversary-obama-pushes-gun-control-package

President Obama will hold an event Wednesday with law enforcement officials and mothers of gun violence victims, marking the 100th day since the Newtown, Conn., mass shooting.

The president...

...is looking to build momentum for a package of new gun control measures to be considered by the Senate early next month.

The legislation would expand background checks on firearm purchases, create new penalties on straw purchases and include new funding for school security. But the bill will not include other aspects of the plan introduced by the president in the aftermath of the shooting, which left 20 children and six educators dead, including the renewal of an assault weapons ban or limits on magazine capacity.

Despecable bastard!

Batch of "Armed Citizens vs. Armed Bad Guys" News Stories... Anti-Gun, Anti-Vaccine Jim Carrey Will Hate These

Below are some gun news stories that anti-Second Amendment, defense-loathing liberals (such as actor/moron Jim Carrey, who has begrudgingly admitted he has his own armed bodyguard) would prefer to ignore. Facts, statistics, and the Second Amendment are pesky, unnecessary things to these people.

These "armed citizens vs. armed bad guys" news stories were compiled by PoliticalChic at USMessageBoard:

http://www.usmessageboard.com/current-events/285886-the-armed-citizen.html#post7010972

1. A 35-year-old woman called 911 after a man followed her home from a gas station and forced his way inside through the front door. The woman allegedly ordered the man to leave then retreated to her bedroom. The intruder picked up a knife from the kitchen table and followed her. It was reported that he threatened the woman with the knife and ordered her to take off her clothes. She warned the man that she would shoot him, but he continued to push her to undress. She retrieved a 9 mm handgun from underneath a pillow on her bed and pointed it at the intruder. When he continued toward her, she pulled the trigger. The suspect was fatally wounded. (Santa Fe New Mexican, Alcalde, NM, 11/8/12)

2. Roger Webster, owner of Webster's Store, and a female customer were standing in front of the store when two men approached and forced them back into the store. Webster and the customer were held at gunpoint and ordered to give up money from the cash register. Webster complied. When the men demanded even more money, Webster motioned as if retrieving more cash, but instead retrieved his handgun from the register and fired several rounds at the armed suspect. Both men fled. Neither Webster nor the customer were harmed. (Dorchester Banner, Cambridge, MD 11/2/12)

3. A 35-year-old woman woke around 3:30 a.m. and checked on her husband, who was up late working on his computer. The couple was startled when their home alarm sounded. The woman's husband checked the surveillance footage on his computer only to discover four masked men working to pry open a window. One of the men carried a rifle. As the woman dialed 911, her husband retrieved his own firearm. The intruders gained entry within minutes. The homeowner crouched behind a sofa and fired. The intruders returned fire before fleeing the home. No one was reportedly injured. (The Times-Picayune, New Orleans, LA, 11/16/12)

4. Douglas Downs, 48, was at home with a friend, 36-year-old Andrew Boyd, shortly after midnight when several armed men broke into his home and tried to rob him. Boyd was forced into the basement before Downs managed to retrieve a handgun from a chair in the living room. Downs fired numerous rounds until the first man dropped his weapon. He then exchanged gunfire with a second intruder. A third intruder appeared and helped his accomplices out of the home to a vehicle where a fourth man waited. Police were later notified that a man with multiple gunshot wounds had been taken to a nearby hospital. All four men were later found, arrested and charged for their involvement in the home invasion. Downs and Boyd were uninjured. (York Daily Record, York, PA, 10/24/12)

5. Cindy Schachter, an employee at Furnari Jewelers, was working when two men entered the store around 4 p.m. Schachter's boss, Anthony Furnari, was sitting at his desk facing the showroom. Something about the men made Schachter uneasy, so she gave her boss a quiet warning right before they pulled clothing over their faces and jumped over the counter. Furnari quickly pulled his .38-cal. handgun from his desk and fired several rounds at one of the suspects as he came toward him. Furnari was severely beaten as both men tried to gain control of his firearm. When Furnari fought back, the men grabbed a display of gold chains and fled. One suspect was later taken into custody after seeking treatment for several bullet wounds. It was last reported that the second suspect was still at large. Furnari suffered a broken nose, a concussion, multiple stitches to the face and hand, and a fractured rip. Schachter was reportedly unharmed. (The Republican, Chicopee, MA, 10/17/12)

6. One man was killed and another was at large Wednesday after a woman put her father's lesson in firearms to use during a burglary in southeast Oak Cliff. "I just hate that she didn't get both of them,' said Charles Brown, the homeowner. Dallas police say Brown's daughter was upstairs about 11:30 a.m. when the two men kicked down the front door of the family's home... The woman, alerted by a home alarm, fired several shots at the men, striking at least one of them as they charged up the stairs. Both men ran out of the front door, where one of them collapsed. The armed intruder was taken to Methodist Dallas Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. (The Dallas Morning News, Dallas, TX, 10/18/12)"

I don't want to devote much time to unfunny, aging-fading, anti-vaccine actor Carrey's tirade against gun ownership (he wants people to give up their guns and use non-lethal methods of defense, to which gun-carrying criminals all had a big ol' laugh over) — so I'll let this recent tweet of his about his new offensive song do its magic:

Political writer, humorist, and Red Eye host Greg Gutfeld is not amused and bitch-slapped Carrey earlier this week.... in this Fox video below, Gutfeld does it again.  Gloriously.

Gutfeld starts off by calling Carrey "the most pathetic tool on the face of the earth" and a nasty little coward who took cheap shots at Heston and his manhood, who is dead and unable to defend himself or punch Carrey's lights out.  Gutfeld is frothing that Carrey, desperate to be "relevant" in liberal Hollywood (his film career has been on the skids for years), is too much of a coward to ever make a video decrying the massive number of gun deaths caused by gang members... easier to go after a beloved dead actor and law-abiding Americans. Gutfeld's fabulous rant escalates from there.

Loved the Gutfeld line that Carrey is "as edgy as a Frisbee."

Reason TV Rebuttal: Jim Carrey's Cold Dead Hand (Video)
March, 29, 2013

Actor Jim Carrey's obnoxious  anti-gun parody video "Cold Dead Hands" which made fun of rural gun owners and the late Charlton Heston, offended gun owners all across the nation. But never fear – it has been by rebutted by Reason TV with their own clever and much funnier parody. The video takes some jabs at Carrey for his own hypocrisy on guns, and his opposition to vaccines, among other thing.

Mild profanity alert as Reason TV's Remy accuses Carrey of  "talking out your ass" complete with  visuals from one of his movies.

Funny stuff:

Lyrics:

Sometimes dudes minds are skewed
and they choose to go a-killin'
Because they saw a Batman villain
killing, well...ring a bell?

Sometimes stars get armed guards
When they make a million buck-ers
Then call you heartless mother f*ckers
to want the same...as those with fame?

Polio and smallpox they no longer kill en masse
Because of vaccinations they are a thing of the past
But you tell parents to skip them and the science you contrast
Because just like in your movies...you're talking our your ass

It takes a talking ass
to oppose a vaccination
when your PhD is in
making funny faces

It takes a talking ass
to tell people they can't arm when
You don't walk around
without an armed bodyguard

It takes a talking ass
to call fans dumb and demented
When you are the one
who wants something uninvented

It takes a talking ass
to be out there passing blame
when you've shot someone
on every TV ever made

Hey... so what is new..

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/04/01/the-will-of-allah-easter-service-turns-deadly-after-man-reportedly-kills-his-father-outside-ohio-church/

ASHTABULA, Ohio (TheBlaze/AP) — Police in northeast Ohio are investigating a shooting outside a church that left one man dead after an Easter service. And the details may shock you.

A member of the Hiawatha Church of God in Christ said the man was shot soon after Easter services ended, around 1:15 p.m. Sunday. Joan Crockett said the man knew the shooter, and that a suspect was taken into custody.

Media reports — and the police — identified the victim as Richard Riddle, 52, and said his son was the shooter. [...]

""It was terrifying," Adams told the newspaper. "The children were screaming and people were dialing 911. We were afraid to breathe."

Adams said Reshad Riddle then continued into the church, still holding the gun, and yelled that the killing was "the will of Allah. This is the will of God."

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) —  An Afghan teenager killed an American soldier in eastern Afghanistan by stabbing him in the neck while he played with a group of local children, officials said Monday.

This undated U.S. Army photo, shows Sgt. Michael C. Cable, 25, of Philpot, Ky. during his deplyment in Afghanistan. An Afghan teenager killed Cable in eastern Afghanistan by stabbing him in the neck while he played with a group of local children, officials said Monday, April 1, 2013.

FILE - In this March 28, 2013 file photo, U.S. Army carry team move a transfer case containing the remains of Army Sgt. Michael Cable, 26, of Philpot, Ky., at Dover Air Force Base, Del. An Afghan teenager killed Cable in eastern Afghanistan by stabbing him in the neck while he played with a group of local children, officials said Monday, April 1, 2013.

The killing comes as the monthly U.S. death toll rose sharply in March to 14 with the start of the spring fighting season when the Taliban and other insurgents take advantage of improved weather to step up attacks.

Sgt. Michael Cable, 26, was guarding Afghan and U.S. officials meeting in a province near the border with Pakistan when the stabbing occurred last Wednesday, two senior U.S. officials said. They spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing.

The attack occurred after the soldiers had secured the area for the meeting, but one of the U.S. officials said the youth was not believed to have been a member of the Afghan security forces or in uniform so it was not being classified as an insider attack.

The official said the attacker was thought to be about 16 years old, but the age couldn't be verified.

The Afghan and American dignitaries were attending the swearing-in ceremony of Afghan Local Police in Shinwar district in Nangarhar province, senior district official Zalmai Khan said. Afghan Local Police, or ALP, recruits are drawn from villages and backed by the U.S. military.

The soldier was playing with a group of children outside when the attacker came from behind and stabbed him in the neck with a large knife, Khan said, adding the young man had escaped to nearby Pakistan.

Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said the young man was acting independently when he killed the soldier but had joined the Islamic militant movement since fleeing the scene.

The Pentagon said in a statement last week that Cable, of Philpot, Ky., died from injuries sustained when his unit was attacked by enemy forces.

At least 14 U.S. soldiers died in March, compared with four in the previous two months, according to an Associated Press tally.

The number of American troops killed in Afghanistan has dropped sharply as international forces increasingly take a back seat while preparing to end their combat mission by the end of 2014. But they continue to face dangers ranging from roadside bombs to attacks by their Afghan counterparts or insurgents disguised as government forces.

~JERRY MICULIK FASTEST REVOLVER SHOOTER IN THE WORLD~

The revolver-shooting skill and speed demonstrated in the videos below by Jerry Miculek is mind-boggling. Almost super-human.

This man is a legend in the sport.  Don't think he'll ever be on the Christmas card list of anti-gun liberals Piers Morgan and Jim Carrey.

In this first video, famous among shooting competitors and gun enthusiasts, Miculik fires eight rounds in ONE second.
