Hard work and success are rewarded with higher
taxes and government intrusion, while slothful, lazy behavior is
rewarded with EBT cards, WIC checks, Medicaid and subsidized housing,
and free cell phones.

The government's plan for getting people back to
work is to provide 99 weeks of unemployment checks (to not work).

Politicians think that stripping away the
amendments to the constitution is really protecting the rights of the people.

The rights of the Government come before the rights
of the individual.

You pay your mortgage faithfully, denying yourself
the newest big screen TV while your neighbor defaults on his mortgage
(while buying iPhones, TV's and new cars) and the government forgives
his debt and reduces his mortgage (with your tax dollars).

Being stripped of the ability to defend yourself
makes you "safe".

You have to have your parents signature to go on a
school field trip but not to get an abortion.

An 80 year old woman can be strip searched by the
TSA but a Muslim woman in a burka is only subject to having her neck
and head searched.

Where do we go from here?
Certainly we should start by voting...

The latest poll has the Congressional approval rating at 21%. Depending on the poll Mitt Rommney the Morman cult member,  magical underwear wearing, heartless robot of corporate facism, and Barack Obama the Kenyan born, Muslim, socialist are tied in the run for the President of the United States If Congress's rating was a grade in school it would be that of the stoner truant kid out behind the school. Romney 's and Obama's ratings get you a kid that might be held back a year. Enough to make you give up on the system and not even vote. I urge you to go vote for the upcoming elections. This may be our last opportunity to have a say before the big money completely takes over both parties and our Republic.

Of course, it's not just the presidency that needs an overhaul.  We have similar idiotic thinking and actions both in Topeka and Elk County.  Sadly, Washington, D.C. isn't the only safe harbor for big spending, 'government is the answer' fools.

Taxpayers suffer some of the highest tax rates in the state, land values are depressed,
delinquent tax receipts are rampant and rising, officials whine about money shortages
and then move forward 2 to 1 with a tax rebate plan that will further short the coffers of much needed funds.
