Report: Chinese hackers breach top weapons designs

(Chinese hackers have allegedly compromised the designs of top weapons systems, including the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. This photo from Northrop Grumman shows a pre-production model of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.)

(Our security SUCKS)

Washington Post:
http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/05/28/chinese-hackers-post-designs-breached-compromised/2364969/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+UsatodaycomWorld-TopStories+%28News+-+World+-+Top+Stories%29

The charge by a defense panel comes a month before visit by China's president to California.

Chinese hackers have gained access to the designs of many of the nation's most sensitive advanced weapons systems, according to report prepared for the Defense Department and government and defense industry officials,The Washington Post reported Tuesday.

The compromised weapons designs include, among others, advanced Patriot missile system, the Navy's Aegis ballistic missile defense systems, the F/A-18 fighter jet, the V-22 Osprey, the Black Hawk helicopter and the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.

The confidential report was prepared by the Defense Science Board, a senior advisory group of government and civilian experts.

It does not accuse the Chinese of stealing the designs, but says that the designs of more than two dozen systems were compromised, the Post reported.

Read: Unclassified report on hacking threat issued in January

The report comes a month before President Obama meets with visiting Chinese President Xi Jinping in California.

White House press spokesman would not comment Tuesday on specifics of the report, but noted that President Obama and his advisers have spoken often about cybersecurity as a key priority -- and key concern -- of the administration.

"It is an issue that we raised at every level in our meetings with our Chinese counterparts, and I'm sure will be a topic of discussion when the president meets with President Xi in California in early June," Jay Carney told reporters aboard Air Force One, Politico reported.

It also coincides with reports in the Australian media that Chinese hackers had allegedly stolen blueprints for Australian's new spy headquarters.

An alleged breach of U.S. systems was noted in a public report issued by the advisory panel in January, but the section of the report listing the compromised weapons system remained classified until Tuesday. The public version had warned that the Pentagon is unprepared to counter a full-scale cyber-conflict.

The Chinese government has insisted that it does not conduct cyber-espionage on U.S. agencies or companies, and government spokesmen often complain that Beijing is a target of U.S. cyberattacks, the Post notes.

Two US embassy personnel shot in Venezuela

(AFP) – 2 hours ago
http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5gNmPqFKupZxksQZzmMghqOIoQf1w?docId=CNG.d1330961470f118496d650650ffe7b82.b1

CARACAS — Two employees of the US embassy in Venezuela were shot and wounded early Tuesday in the capital Caracas, in a murky incident that local media and a police source said took place at a strip club.

"We can confirm that two members of the US embassy in Caracas were injured during an incident early this morning," State Department spokesman Patrick Ventrell told reporters in Washington.

"Medical staff inform us that their injuries are not life-threatening," he added, noting that they were hurt at "some sort of a social spot" but without specifying the venue or nature of their injuries.

US diplomatic sources later confirmed to AFP that the two men were shot.

The Venezuelan media identified the two men as Roberto Ezequiel Rosas and Paul Marwin, and said they were military attaches at the embassy, but neither the State Department nor the embassy in Caracas would confirm those reports.

"My understanding is that they are other agency personnel, not from the State Department," Ventrell said.

Venezuelan television channel Globovision reported on its website that the incident took place at the Antonella bar located in a shopping center in the Chacao district of Caracas, after an altercation with other bar patrons.

Bar staff told AFP on condition of anonymity that the venue is indeed a strip club that only admits men over the age of 30, but refused to say anything about the alleged incident involving the US embassy personnel.

A district policeman, who also spoke to AFP on condition of anonymity, said a shooting incident had been reported just outside the Antonella bar, involving three Americans.

In the entryway of the club, there are photos of female strippers.

Venezuela has the highest murder rate in South America with 54 homicides per 100,000 inhabitants. In the first quarter of 2013 alone, there were 3,400 murders, according to government statistics.

Several diplomats have been assaulted in recent months in the country.

The United States and Venezuela, which have had no ambassadors since 2010, have had strained relations since Caracas accused Washington of backing a coup that briefly ousted the late Hugo Chavez in 2002.

President Nicolas Maduro, Chavez's former vice president, has maintained a confrontational stance with the US government since his election on April 14, calling President Barack Obama the "grand chief of devils."

Foreign Minister Elias Jaua, however, said two weeks ago that the new government was prepared to normalize relations with the United States, beginning with a return of Venezuela's ambassador to Washington.

Despite the tensions, Venezuela sells the United States 900,000 barrels of oil a day.

Liberals "Running Wild" in America: O'Reilly & Krauthammer Discuss Growing Intolerance,
Rudeness, & Childishness of Leftwing Radicals (video below)

Some of the points covered by O'Reilly in his "leftists running wild" commentary include:

* University of Southern California Darry Sragow has turned his classroom into an anti-Republican stronghold. A non-liberal student apparently was sick of the leftist propaganda and taped Sragow during one of his anti-Republican lectures.

* While speaking at universities, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul and former Bush Senior Advisor and Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove were heckled and insulted by emboldened liberal radicals.

* The far-left is intruding on the national discourse, perverting the education system, and generally behaving badly.

In the video below, O'Reilly and Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist and political pundit Charles Krauthammer have an insightful discussion about the perceived growing intrusions and intolerance of the far-left, of progressive zealots and thugs attempting to silence anyone who does not agree with them.

Krauthammer disagreed with some of O'Reilly's observations, saying he didn't believe this is a growing trend, that it's been around for decades. Radical leftists, Krauthammer reminds O'Reilly, were far more violent and controlling than they are today, were far more intrusive in our universities and across our nation during the 1960s and early 1970s. Entire universities were taken over by occupation and riots during that period.

He calls the disrespectful actions of the radical leftists, then and now, "juvenile," that the real threat to our freedoms is with those radical progressives who are elected as lawmakers and policy makers.

Krauthammer could have been referring to deplorable, liberal Illinois Democrat Sen. Dick Durbin admitting that he pushed the IRS to perform a targeted, conservatives-only audit and said this week that he didn't know if the First Amendment should be applied to all Americans, such as bloggers and the Twitterverse. He said he feels that only "GOVERNMENT-APPROVED" journalists should enjoy First Amendment protection of the Constitution. Anyone shuddering out there? Leftist Durbin also has chilling thoughts about the constitutional rights of citizens under the Second Amendment.

Additionally, Krauthammer said he believes the lack of leadership shown by Pres. Obama has propelled most of this incivility, this escalating bashing of conservative principles. He reminds us that leftists have been in control of our universities, the news media, Hollywood, and cultural foundations for more than a decade — that from Nixon through the election of Obama, America did well, in contrast to the past four years. O'Reilly and Krauthammer discuss the respect and civil behavior that conservatives demonstrate versus that of liberals.

Krauthammer humorously points back to USC's mega-liberal Sragow, who, ironically, is an old, intolerant, inflexible leftist white guy who is stereotyping Republicans and slamming old, intolerant, inflexible conservative white guys. Amusingly myopic and hypocritical.

Man charged with killing couple, raping toddler hours after release from prison

(Reuters) - A 24-year-old man has been charged with killing an elderly couple and raping their 2-year-old great-grandchild, in a crime that occurred just hours after he was released from prison in a separate sexual-assault case, state officials said on Tuesday.

Jerry Active was arrested on Saturday by police and has been charged in the murders of Sorn Sreap, 71, and her husband, Touch Chea, 73, and the rape of the toddler they were babysitting that night. Active is also charged with raping Sreap.

The elderly victims' bodies had signs of blunt-force trauma, but autopsies will determine the cause of death, the Anchorage Police Department said in a statement. Active could spend the rest of his life in prison if convicted of the murders and rapes.

Active, who had pleaded guilty to breaking into a Dillingham, Alaska, home in 2009 and sexually assaulting a child and other residents, was released from prison on probation on Saturday morning after serving part of a seven-year sentence, said Kaci Schroeder, a spokeswoman for the Alaska Department of Corrections.

It was not immediately clear why Active was allowed to serve less than his full sentence. Schroeder said she did not have certain details about his case.

He was released from prison in Anchorage at 8:09 a.m. Saturday, about 12 hours before the crimes were reported, Schroeder said.

The toddler's parents returned home from a movie and found the suspect naked in a bedroom with the child and the great-grandparents dead, said the Anchorage police statement. The parents confronted the suspect, but he escaped, police said.

Active was arraigned on Sunday, with bail set at $1.5 million, according to court records. A state judge on Tuesday scheduled a June 5 preliminary hearing.

A public defender for Active could not be reached for comment.

Active has a lengthy court record, with several misdemeanor arrests prior to the 2009 felony case. He was first released on the Dillingham case on October 2, 2011, but violated probation and was sent back to prison two days later, according to records Schroeder released.

Since then he has been in and out of prison after committing other probation violations, Schroeder said.

(Chicago Justice comes to Tunisia)

Last September Islmists attacked the US Embassy in Tunisia, torched an American school and hung the Al-Qaeda flag.

Four people were killed and 29 were injured in the rioting.

This week 20 of the protesters were given probation and no jail time.
The Australian reported, via Atlas:

No Jail Time for 20 Jihadists Who Attacked US Embassy in Tunisia and Hung Al-Qaeda Flag

TWENTY people have received a two-year suspended prison sentence for their part in a deadly attack on the US embassy in Tunisia last year, their lawyer said.

"They all got a two-year suspended sentence," said lawyer Anouar Ouled Ali.

"We will see with their families if they want to appeal. If they want to, we will do it," he added.

The verdict, which was not made public, came after only half a day, an unusually short trial in the north African country.

Hundreds of angry Islamist protesters attacked the US mission in Tunis on September 14 after an American-made film mocking their religion was published on the Internet.

Four of the assailants were killed and dozens wounded in the violence, which saw protesters storm the embassy and torch a neighbouring American school.

Questioned individually by the judge, the accused denied having taken part in the protest or attacking the embassy and the police.

Tunisian judicial rulings are not usually announced in court.

CONFIRMED: IRS Gave Preferential Treatment to Malik Obama's Charity – Now Found Linked to Genocidal Regime

BARACK OBAMA'S BROTHER MALIK OBAMA'S CHARITY LINKED TO GENOCIDAL REGIME!

In light of the recent revelations that the IRS has been unfairly targeting conservative groups, President Obama's half-brother "got a sweetheart deal" from the IRS. According to the Daily Caller, Lois Lerner, the senior IRS official at the center of the decision to target tea party groups for burdensome tax scrutiny, signed paperwork granting tax-exempt status to the Barack H. Obama Foundation, a shady charity headed by the president's half-brother that operated illegally for years. Lerner approved the foundation's tax status within a month of filing.

But now there is evidence that the Barack H. Obama Foundation is linked to terrorism and genocide:

The Barack H. Obama Foundation (BHOF) is linked to top Sudanese officials, a regime accused of terrorism and genocide.

Walid Shoebat reported:

It has been learned that the relationship between President Barack Obama's half-brother Malik Obama and Sudan's President Omar Al-Bashir is much closer than previously thought...

...In 2010, Malik Obama attended the Islamic Da'wa Organization (IDO) conference in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan. One of the objectives of the IDO is to spread Wahhabist Islam across the African continent.

Al-Bashir wasn't just present at the conference; he supervised it

Omar Al-Bashir is a controversial figure both in Sudan and worldwide.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omar_al-Bashir

In July 2008, the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), accused al-Bashir of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes in Darfur. The court issued an arrest warrant for al-Bashir on counts of war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Al-Bashir and top Sudanese officials are pictured with Malik Obama on the front page of the Barack H. Obama website. And, the IRS gave this group preferential treatment over American conservative and pro-Constitutional groups.

Barack Obama welcomed his militant Muslim brother Malik Obama to the White House after his inauguration.

Israel Threatens To Bomb Russian Shipments Of Advanced S-300 Missiles To Syria

(And when Israel says they'll bomb something, nobody doubts them)

JERUSALEM (AP) —Israel's defence chief said Tuesday a Russian plan to supply sophisticated anti-aircraft missiles to Syria was a "threat" and signalled that Israel is prepared to use force to stop the delivery.

The warning by Defence Minister Moshe Yaalon ratcheted up tensions with Moscow over the planned sale of S-300 air-defence missiles to Syria. Earlier in the day, a top Russian official said his government remained committed to the deal.

Israel has been lobbying Moscow to halt the sale, fearing the missiles would upset the balance of power in the region and could slip into the hands of hostile groups, including the Lebanese militia Hezbollah, a close ally of the Syrian regime.

Israel has carried out several airstrikes in Syria in recent months that are believed to have destroyed weapons shipments bound for Hezbollah. Israel has not confirmed carrying out the attacks.

The delivery of the Russian missiles to Syria could limit the Israeli air force's ability to act. It is not clear whether Israeli warplanes entered Syrian airspace in these attacks.

Canada Refuses To Help Arm Syrian Rebels Over Jihadist Infestation

(Can we trade Obuma to Canada for Stephen Harper?)

Via Sun News:
http://www.sunnewsnetwork.ca/sunnews/politics/archives/2013/05/20130528-135647.html

Canada is breaking ranks with its European Union allies over the decision to allow member countries to arm Syrian rebels.

On Tuesday, the EU failed to renew its Syrian arms embargo, freeing countries to funnel arms into the war-torn Mideast nation – an endeavour supported by both France and the UK.

Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird said Canada won't follow suit and instead supports a political solution to the civil war in Syria, now entering its third year.

But he shrugged off the disagreement.

"Sovereign governments make their own decisions," he said. "In Europe, we see a group of committed allies that are normally like-minded. On occasion, we are not. There's nothing wrong with honest differences of opinion."

Canada is wary of fully embracing the opposition rebels in Syria despite the federal government's repeated calls for Syrian President Bashar Assad to step down.

While willing to engage with the rebels, Canada is among the few western governments refusing to recognize the opposition rebel coalition as the legitimate representative of the Syrian people.

"Our strong concern has been, and continues to be, the number of radical jihadists that have entered parts of the opposition and, in our view, that's not getting better. It is, in fact, getting worse," Baird said.

Sick New York City App Gives Teenagers Directions To Closest Abortion Clinics

Taxpayer-funded, of course.

(CNSNews.com) –
The New York City Health Department's NYC teen website now includes an app that teens can download to their smart phones to get information on "sexual health," including where they can get birth control and abortions.

The app, under the heading "Important Links and Info," has three main links – Where to Go; sexual health services, What to Get; condoms and birth control; and What to Expect; at the clinic.

Under the health services link the user can choose what service they want, including Gold Star clinics (those that offer free birth control and other services), emergency contraceptive or Plan B, and abortion.

If the user picks abortion, they can then choose the area in the city where they want to find services. If the user picks Manhattan, for example, they will be directed to three places that perform abortions – Family Planning Clinic, Harlem Hospital; Planned Parenthood Margaret Sanger Center; and Project Stay – Services to Assist Youth at New York Presbyterian Hospital.
