Obama To Call For $2 Billion "Green Energy" Slush Fund...

Hey.... Just what we need, more Solyndras.

Via Washington Examiner:
http://washingtonexaminer.com/obama-to-call-for-2-billion-green-energy-fund/article/2524427

President Obama in Illinois Friday will call for the creation of a $2 billion Energy Security Trust, which would take government royalties from offshore oil and gas leasing and use the money for research in green-energy technologies.

Obama hinted at such a proposal in his State of the Union Address and will make the announcement at Argonne National Laboratory, just outside Chicago.

The initiative comes as Republicans pressure Obama to approve construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline, a project that would carry oil from Canada to refineries in Texas. The president has delayed construction of the pipeline because of environmental concerns.

Obuma Says Not Bringing Peace Plan To Israel
Because Israel "Not Interested"

Translation: Israel having already given many concessions, wouldn't roll over for the Obama "charm offensive".  Once again, Barack Insane-Hussein Obuma gives succor (and weapons) to enemies, and blows off allies.  If we manage to avoid war or a major international incident, it will be a miracle.

According to Haaretz:
"At a meeting last week between U.S. President Barack Obama and a group of Arab-American leaders, the president was asked why he did not intend to launch a new peace process to thaw out negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians. According to an individual present at the meeting, Obama was very frank in his reply: The government in Israel is not ready to make concessions, he said, and so there is no point..."

Poll: Only 10% Of Israelis Have A Favorable View Of Obama...

....So low it's comical.

Via Politico:
http://www.politico.com/politico44/2013/03/poll-only-percent-of-israelis-view-obama-favorably-159454.html

"President Obama has said he wants to speak directly with the Israeli people and reinforce his support for Israel during his trip there next week.

He may have some serious talking to do. A new poll of Israelis conducted by Maagar Mohot Institute and Israeli daily Maariv found that 38 percent believe he is hostile to Israel and 14 percent believe he is indifferent. Only a third think he is supportive.

In addition, Obama is facing steep unfavorable ratings in the country, the poll found. Some 32 percent said they don't like him but respect him, 19 percent view him unfavorably and 17 percent have a highly unfavorable opinion of him.

Perhaps the most daunting number for Obama in the poll: Only 10 percent view him favorably."

And then there is this.  God made the Idiot for practice, and then He made Obuma!

Obuma Takes Carbon-Spewing Air Force One
Flight To Illinois To Deliver Speech Lecturing Us On
The "Evils Of Fossil Fuel..."

http://www.nationalreview.com/campaign-spot/343060/obama-scheduled-take-359500-flight-today

Today, President Obama boards Air Force One and flies to Argonne National Laboratory in suburban Lemont, Illinois to deliver a speech on weaning the nation from oil and gas.

If the flight to Chicago takes about one hour, and another hour to return, the operation of Air Force One will cost taxpayers $359,500 today. That's enough to restore about 20 weeks of public tours of the White House. [...]

Also note that the president will be flying about 620 miles between Washington and Chicago. While the precise rate of fuel consumption of Air Force One is not revealed to the public, a 747 burns about five gallons of fuel per mile. So President Obama will burn about 6,200 gallons of jet fuel in his round trip, to deliver a speech urging "new research and technology to shift our cars and trucks off oil for good."

"WHAT...?!??"

To put it mildly AF-1 engines are not standard 747 engine.  I remember reading that during 9-11, Air Force One was outpacing it's fighter escort, forcing them to use afterburners to keep up, they had to beg them to slow down to keep the escort from running out of fuel.  If they are getting anything better than 7 or 8 gallons per mile even at cruising speeds I'd be amazed.  So... you might say, it creates a bigger "carbon footprint"....

Oregon Company To Sell "Drone Defense"
Technology To Public

http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2013/03/15/oregon-company-to-sell-drone-defense-technology-to-public

Do you want to keep drones out of your backyard?

An Oregon company says that it has developed and will soon start selling technology that disables unmanned aircraft.

The company, called Domestic Drone Countermeasures, was founded in late February because some of its engineers see unmanned aerial vehicles—which are already being flown by law enforcement in some areas and could see wider commercial integration into American airspace by 2015—as unwanted eyes in the sky.

"I was personally concerned and I think there's a lot of other people worried about this," says Timothy Faucett, a lead engineer on the project. "We've already had many inquiries, a lot of people saying 'Hey, I don't want these drones looking at me.'"

If this technology actually works, you can bet the federal government will make it illegal to own... and what happens when the terrorists get their hands on it?  If history is any indication someone else will start a drone jamming company and there will be a technology race that leads to supersonic stealth drones and anti-drone lasers and eventually society will collapse and WW3 will ensue and the only thing left living on the surface of the earth will be cockroaches, rats, and lawyers...

...and then, maybe not.  I recommend all the engineers at this place get their own "food tasters."

One Of Our Bridges Is Missing

Now.... THERE'S a shovel-ready job for you!

The days of casually crossing a creek are over if you live in the Gölçük district of Kocaeli province in western Turkey.  Which maybe you don't.  But the point is that someone stole a 22-ton, 82-foot-long bridge from there.  It's just gone.

Police suspect that the bridge was cut into sections and removed on a truck for scrap metal.  Its estimated value is about $11,000.  Villagers use the bridge to access their orchards, and a resident, Mustafa Karakaş told Today's Zaman that, "Now we have to take our socks off and cross the creek."

The weirdest part of the theft may be that it's not the first time a bridge has been stolen in recent memory.

Be Careful What You Wish For, Libs:
Liberal Bill Maher Whines About High California Income Taxes, "Liberals, You Could Actually Lose Me"

"Left-wing comedian-writer-talk show host Bill Maher is now whining
about paying higher taxes in California"

VIDEO:

Smug, wealthy liberals are all for raising taxes on the rich... until they realize they themselves will also pay more taxes.  Enter Ultra-liberal, foul-mouthed Bill Maher, cable TV host and a card-carrying member of the Barack Obama Fan Club who donated $1 million to Obama's reelection campaign, is one more super-rich statist hypocrite to suddenly realize that... what the heck! ... he will be paying more taxes in California.  Nanny State government vs. lower taxes... sorry Billmo, you can't have it both ways.

Millionaire Maher has an estimated net worth of almost $29 million.  No wonder he's now whining and moaning and groaning.

Summarized by Noel Sheppard at NewsBusters:
"Bill Maher made a comment Friday that his benefactor and hero Barack Obama should sit up and take notice of.

Speaking about the taxes the rich pay particularly in California, the host of HBO's Real Time said, "Liberals – you could actually lose me"...

The panel discussion began with a conversation about the various budget proposals currently on the table in Washington.

MSNBC's Rachel Maddow predictably slammed Congressman Paul Ryan's (R-Wisc.) plan.

"The Ryan budget is a document that says the big problems in America right now are that rich people do not have enough money," she mocked. "They need relief from confiscatory tax rates."

"Well," Maher unsuccessfully tried to interrupt as Maddow continued. When she was finally done, he surprisingly pushed back.

Pointing at Virginia's former Republican Congressman Tom Davis, Maher said, "You know what? Rich people – I'm sure you'd agree with this – actually do pay the freight in this country."

"I just saw these statistics," he continued, "I mean, something like 70 percent. And here in California, I just want to say liberals – you could actually lose me. It's outrageous what we're paying – over 50 percent. I'm willing to pay my share, but yeah, it's ridiculous."

So it appears there is a point where Maher's money becomes more important than his politics.

"Willing to pay my share" ....but what you're willing to pay and what tax-frenzied Democrat lawmakers want you and others to pay ain't the same animal, Billyboy.  This isn't clear... when Maher threatens that liberals could "lose him," does he mean he'll leave the tax-hungry state of California and move to a state with lower taxes (where he and his leftist, redistribution ilk will rev up to destroy their economy), or that he may just jump the partisan fence and become... wait for it.. a conservative?

Hilarious, Clown... you made your government-money-grabbing bed, and now you're sniveling that you don't want to sleep in it.

Über-Lib Bill Maher Kinda Sorta Defends Iraq War: "It's A Country That's Standing, I Thought It Wouldn't Be"...

Via Mediaite:
http://www.mediaite.com/tv/bill-maher-defends-iraq-war-bush-its-a-country-thats-standing-i-thought-it-wouldnt-be/

"During a panel discussion on the Iraq war tonight,Bill Maher had a somewhat surprising take on the Iraq War almost ten years to the day before it began. Maher made it clear the cost of invading was more negative than positive, but asked the panel if there was some value gained by going in, because he admitted that in spite of originally thinking that Iraq would not be standing ten years down the road, "it's actually doing better than I thought it would be."

Rachel Maddow noted how Mitt Romney spoke of the Iraqi liberation in his CPAC address, saying that the GOP is still convinced the war was a good idea. Maher jumped in to argue that ten years down the road might not be the best way to judge the ultimate end result of the Iraq war, and admitted that he's impressed with where the country is right now."

You know libs are fuming on the inside that Iraq didn't implode like they predicted.

LA Times Op-Ed: Conservative White Men Who Have Guns
Worse Than International Terrorists

The U.S. needs to keep a close watch on the growing threat of
home-grown extremist groups.

http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/editorials/la-ed-patriot-groups-splc-report-20130308,0,2444361.story?track=rss

"There are, in increasingly frightening numbers, cells of angry men in the United States preparing for combat with the U.S. government. They are usually heavily armed, blinded by an intractable hatred, often motivated by religious zeal.

"They're not jihadists. They are white, right-wing Americans, nearly all with an obsessive attachment to guns, who may represent a greater danger to the lives of American civilians than international terrorists.

"The Southern Poverty Law Center, which has been tracking hate groups for 30 years, released its latest report on the growth of these organizations this week. Its findings were, to say the least, alarming. The center divides its subjects into militias, which are mostly groups of weekend warriors who train for combat against imaginary foes; hate groups, which target minorities; and "patriot" groups, whose beef is with the U.S. government. Patriot groups first began surfacing after the massacre of a bizarre sect by federal agents in Waco, Texas, in the early 1990s. They showed their teeth in 1995, when a patriot adherent blew up the federal building in Oklahoma City."

Wow!  Who knew supporting the Constitution made you a terrorist?  Talk about "intractable hatred"...sounds like this writer has just a bit for "right-wing white men".

Anybody with any sense knows there are various kinds of hate groups out there.

Just take a look at the religious/christian hate group Westboro Church and their disruption of funerals.

But does that mean you group everyone into the same type of hate group?

Even if there are groups of people that belong to various gun organizations, does that make them hateful people?

Definitely not.

For this man to print such an article strikes me as something written, by the real hate group because of the twisting of words and mixing of groups.

This strikes me as more of the dumbing down of the American people. Far too many people believe what they read and that is what the real hate group appreciates.

I don't belong to any group of any kind. None.

There are plenty of reasons of owning guns, protection from home invasions is the first thing that comes to my mind, hunting is second. And that includes shooting at coyotes that are after my chickens.

But a hateful, lying, double dealing government would definitely be down the list. I hope and pray that our government never turns and comes after us physically. But if they do I will stand my ground. They have already been coming after us and our constitutional rights. Why?

They apparently fear the American public, that's why?

The government and the media have set up the present situation and it is up to them to correct it.

But by labeling American citizens as worse than International Terrorists is just wrong.

The more people that recognize the wrongness of that statement the safer our country is IMHO.

The propaganda in the news media needs to cease.
