'Twice as Many' British Muslims Fighting for ISIS as UK Armed Forces

(Wake up America... It's time to start killing these muslim bastards...)

There are now more than twice as many British Muslims fighting for Islamic State than there are serving in the British armed forces, according to a British Member of Parliament (MP).

Khalid Mahmood, the MP for Perry Barr in Birmingham, estimates that at least 1,500 young British Muslims have been recruited by extremists fighting in Iraq and Syria in the last three years.

Mahmood told Newsweek that this figure had been building since the start of the Syrian conflict: "If you look across the whole of the country, and the various communities involved, 500 going over each year would be a conservative estimate."

According to the Ministry of Defence, there are only around 600 British Muslims currently serving in the Armed Forces, making up approximately around 0.4% of total personnel. 4.3% of the British population are Muslim.

The UK Foreign Office said that they believe over 400 individuals have travelled to Syria since the uprising began, but said that they could not give exact numbers.

However Mahmood described such low estimates as "nonsense" and said that the British government was failing to deal with the problem of home-grown extremists. "We've not concentrated on the prevention work, we haven't invested enough in de-radicalisation. It's tragic, somebody's got to wake up to it."

The role of British jihadists fighting in the Middle East has been brought into sharp focus after Islamic State released a video showing the apparent beheading of US journalist James Foley by a masked jihadist who spoke with a British accent.

In June, three militants involved in an ISIS propaganda video were identified as Cardiff students Reyaad Khan, 20, Nasser Muthana, also 20, and his younger brother Aseel, 17.

Conservative MP Nadhim Zahawi last week told Channel 4 news that a Kurdish leader told him that Islamic State fighters in Iraq had been carrying a Liverpool FC season ticket and a gym card from Ealing in London. He estimated the number of Britons fighting for Islamic State at as many as 700.

Ghaffar Hussain of anti-radicalization charity the Quilliam Foundation argued that the number of British Muslims being drawn to Islamic State and other organisations meant that the UK was "definitely" losing the fight against radical extremism.

"There are an unacceptable number of Britons fighting for jihadist forces over the world," Hussain told Newsweek.

"There are things the government can do to prevent this of course," Hussain says. "There needs to be a greater effort in the way of civil society initiatives that discredit jihadist organisations in the UK and promote liberal democratic values."

Islamic States militants' recruitment campaign has overtaken Al-Qaeda in its effectiveness online, targeting primarily young muslims, the Quilliam Foundation told Newsweek.

"Their use of the internet is unlike anything we have seen before," Charlie Cooper of the Quilliam Foundation said.

"Social media applications like Facebook and Twitter act as a facilitator to connect young radicalized Britons with jihadists in Syria and Iraq."

Islamic State have so far run a very successful campaign of using public forums such as Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, whilst avoiding detection by authorities, with Quilliam reporting Islamic State supporters share resources on how to remain under the radar of the law.

Responding to the Islamic State video earlier today, UK-based radical Islamic preacher Anjem Choudary who is a vocal supporter of establishing a Caliphate under Islamic Sharia Law told digital radio station Fubar Radio that "it's not important if it's a British person carrying out the execution because you're Muslim first and British second".

A Home Office spokesperson told Newsweek that the British government is aware of the threat of Islamic State recruitment campaigns in the UK, insisting "the police and security services are actively working to detect and disrupt terrorist threats. People seeking to travel to engage in terrorist activity in Syria or Iraq should be in no doubt we will take the strongest possible action to protect our national security, including prosecuting those who break the law.

"We also have a wide range of powers at our disposal to disrupt travel and manage the risk posed by returnees," the spokesperson said.

The Ministry of Defence did not immediately respond to Newsweek's request for comment.

Why Were The Police In Ferguson Told Not To Stop The Rampant Looting On Friday Night?

By Michael Snyder, on August 17th, 2014

On Friday night, the city of Ferguson, Missouri was absolutely packed with militarized police.  But when the looting started, they did nothing about it.

In fact, news reports indicate that the police were lined up just blocks from where the looting was happening but did not make any attempt to stop it.  When I first read the news reports that I am about to share with you, I could hardly believe them.  I had to read them more than once just to be sure that I was understanding what I was reading.  According to eyewitnesses, police vehicles were seen driving by some of the stores while they were being looted and they did not respond.  If the police are not even going to lift a finger to stop rampant theft, then what in the world are they there for?  Why don't they just pack up and leave the streets completely?  If they are just there to confront protesters and arrest journalists, all they are accomplishing is inflaming the situation.  And is this what we can expect when civil unrest spreads to more cities throughout America?  Will we not be able to depend on the police to protect our homes and our businesses?

What I am about to share with you are excerpts from mainstream news reports about how the police did nothing to stop the looting.  To me, this stand down by the police is one of the most disturbing aspects of the Ferguson riots so far.

This first excerpt is from USA Today...
During the night, buildings burned, windows shattered, and chaos ensued as protesters stood in the street criticizing police. Officers threatened to arrest protesters who came near their trucks. Yet authorities did not attempt to stop any looting as citizens moved to protect local businesses from sporadic thefts.

This next excerpt is from the local Fox affiliate in St. Louis...
Police presence is in question after St. Louis County and Missouri State Highway Patrol officers left the scene in Ferguson once looters began attacking businesses overnight.

Protesters believe the media has started to confuse the difference between themselves and the looters. Fights have begun on the streets as well as social media with some believing this has become similar to a game of chess.
And this last excerpt is from Fox News...

A reporter from the station tweeted that police cars were seen driving past some of the stores being looted and did not respond. It rained in Ferguson Friday night and protesters could be seen outside until 6 a.m.

Two store owners, standing outside their business holding guns, told Fox2Now.com that when they called 911, they were sent from one police agency to another, and got no response.

One of the owners, with a large black gun resting on his shoulder, told the station that police were lined up blocks from the looting, and did not engage looters making off with large boxes from these stores.

"There's no police," he said. "We trusted the police to keep it peaceful; they didn't do their job."

Why did the police in Ferguson refuse to do their jobs?

Who told them to stand down?

Someone in the mainstream media needs to start asking some of these hard questions.

As the streets of Ferguson have descended into anarchy, business owners have been forced to take matters into their own hands.

The following are two photos of a Wal-Mart in Ferguson that were posted by the Economic Policy Journal.  In this first photo, you can see that Wal-Mart employees have stacked rows of shopping carts across the front entrance in order to keep looters from getting in...

This next photo shows that dozens of cases of bottled water have been stacked just inside the front entrance in an attempt to deter looters...

Other business owners are taking even stronger measures to protect their property.

Every night now, business owners can be seen all around Ferguson standing out in front of their businesses holding guns.  You can see some examples of this in this article.

And unsurprisingly, gun sales are going through the roof in Ferguson at the moment...
Guns and ammo are selling at a feverish pace in and around St. Louis as violent clashes continue between protesters and police in nearby Ferguson, Missouri.

"People are coming in with fear in their eyes and they're saying they need something to protect their house," said Steven King, owner of Metro Shooting Supplies, a gun shop in the St. Louis suburb of Bridgeton. "They're scared to death."
As I have written about previously, I believe that what is going on in Ferguson is a perfect example of how rapidly the streets of America can descend into chaos.

And I also believe that what we are watching is just a preview of what is coming to America in the years ahead.

Watch what is happening very carefully, because there is a lesson in all of this.

When chaos reigns, the police are not going to be there to rescue you.

In a crisis situation, you and your family are not going to be a priority for the authorities.  So you are going to need to come up with your own plan to ensure the safety of yourself and your loved ones.

If you think that I am being overly dramatic, you must not have been paying attention to what has been going on in America in recent years.

Today, our society is becoming increasingly divided.  A whole host of opinion polls and surveys show that anger and frustration in this country have reached all-time highs.  The civil unrest in Ferguson didn't just come out of a vacuum.  The truth is that pressure has been building under the surface in the U.S. for years.  And it isn't going to take much for more Fergusons to erupt all around the nation.

So what do you think?

Why were the police in Ferguson told not to stop the rampant looting on Friday night?

And what do you think is coming next for America?

Seems to me "they" are hoping that all hell will break loose and with people shooting each other, give them a reason to come down on guns with a vengeance. They will have their "reason" for disarming the public.

Stirring The Pot: DOJ Sends 'Marshals' To 'Coach' The Protesters In Ferguson
By Michael Snyder

(An Obuma government agency teaching the fine art of protesting.  Simply beyond Orwellian!
What happens if the police arrest the Federal Marshals? :police: )

Is the Obama administration looking to stir up more trouble in Ferguson?

"Protest marshals" from the same Department of Justice division that organized protests against George Zimmerman in the aftermath of the shooting of Trayvon Martin have been deployed to the troubled city.  It is being reported that these DOJ agents will be "conducting training" for Ferguson protesters that will focus on "best practices for participating in protests".  Local officials in Missouri hope that this will help defuse the situation, but if history is any guide it may end up doing just the opposite.  According to the head of Judicial Watch, the Community Relations Service of the Department of Justice "has a record of racially inflammatory rhetoric that is extreme in ideology and cynical in its politics".  Could these Ferguson protests ultimately be used to take us to the next level in the inflammation of racial tensions in America?

What we have seen play out in Ferguson over the past few days demonstrates so much of what is wrong in this country.

The initial rioting and looting in the city was a prime example of the extreme social decay that is eating away at the foundations of our nation.  And it showed how rapidly the streets of our major cities could potentially descend into chaos.

And then the response by the police was a perfect example of how our society is rapidly being transformed into a heavily militarized police state.

Now that the Obama administration is getting involved, who knows what is going to happen next.  According to the Daily Caller, two "protest marshals" have already been deployed to Ferguson so far...
Two Department of Justice "protest marshals" are in Ferguson, Mo., to help train people taking part in demonstrations over the fatal police shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown.
That's according to Ferguson mayor James Knowles, who spoke with The Daily Caller Wednesday evening.
We are being told that they will be "conducting training for the groups on best practices for participating in protests".

That sounds good, but as Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch has pointed out, this particular Department of Justice division has a troubled history...
Responding to news that the Justice Department has dispatched its Community Relations Service to the scene of racially charged unrest in Ferguson, Missouri, the head of the Washington watchdog group Judicial Watch says it's time for a civil rights investigation of Attorney General Eric Holder's agency.

"Eric Holder's Justice Department is unfortunately not to be trusted on racial matters," said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton in an interview with WND.

Under Holder's leadership, he said, the department "has a record of racially inflammatory rhetoric that is extreme in ideology and cynical in its politics."

"The idea that this Justice Department could be trusted to mediate is highly suspect," he said.
So precisely what kind of "coaching" and "training" will these protesters be receiving?

In a previous article, I discussed how Judicial Watch has documented the fact that the Community Relations Service helped "organize and manage rallies and protests against George Zimmerman" back in 2012.  This assistance also included spending quite a bit of money, arranging meetings between the NAACP and local leaders, and even providing police escorts for protesters.

Let us certainly hope that the DOJ does not choose to inflame the situation, because Ferguson is already essentially a war zone at this point.

And it isn't just "young punks" that are being brutalized.  In an Instagram photo that you can view right here, you can see the gruesome wound that was created when a white female pastor was shot while she was peacefully praying.

There is no excuse for that.  The whole world is watching what is going on, and they are absolutely disgusted with us.

The Governor of Missouri is taking charge of the situation.  Governor Nixon has put the Missouri State Highway Patrol in charge, and he is promising a change in "tone".

That sounds good, but what is going to happen if protesters start foolishly throwing Molotov cocktails once again?

Will the police be able to show restraint at that point?

And how will the Department of Justice "protest marshals" change the equation?

Will they calm things down, or will they end up inflaming the situation?

Even the Islamists of ISIS are obsessing over Ferguson
They're hoping to use black disenchantment as a recruiting tool
.

(Gee... Putting them in direct competition with CAIR)

Via WaPo
http://www.washingtonpost.com/posteverything/wp/2014/08/21/even-islamist-fighters-in-syria-and-iraq-are-obsessing-over-ferguson/

You can understand if President Obama would rather talk about the fight against Islamic State militants in Iraq, where he has scored some victories, than talk about the unholy mess in Ferguson, Mo. Surprisingly, though, ISIS militants are following developments in the St. Louis suburb, and some of them would rather focus on that. According to interviews and social media, members of the group and sympathizers with its jihadist ideology are closely tracking the events in the St. Louis suburb, where protesters and police have clashed. In it, they see opportunity.

Partly, the focus is strategic: Officers in Ferguson have used military transports and weapons similar to those used by U.S. troops in Iraq. But militants are also claiming vindication — that their arguments about American oppression were right all along. "Well this clearly shows that all this talk about democracy and equality of people in the west is just hypocrisy," said Abu Sameer after a private autopsy sought by the family of Michael Brown showed that the 18-year-old had been shot at least six times. Abu Sameer lives in France and identifies himself as a member of the Islamic State, a group that has conducted a campaign of mass killings and other atrocities in northern Iraq.

The Islamic State and other jihadist movements are using the events outside St. Louis as propaganda against the West. One argument they've been making for years is that racism and discrimination are rampant in some parts of the West, and they're hoping the Ferguson riots could help recruit black Americans. "In Islam there is no racism, and we think black people will wake up and follow the example of Malcolm X and others who understood that this way is the only way to justice," said Abu Mansour, who lives in Germany and is also a follower of the Islamic State.

All of the jihadists interviewed said Brown's death confirms their beliefs that blacks are seen as second-class citizens by whites and especially by the police. "I think that blacks in the U.S. will look more towards Islam," said Anjem Choudary from Great Britain, co-founder of the banned "al-Muhajiroun" group. (Choudary's teacher, Omar Bakri Muhammad, was barred from Britain and is currently in a Lebanese jail for his alleged support of jihadist movements in Syria and Iraq.) "The only way of life today that does not look at race is in fact Islam. Islam only distinguished people by whether they are Muslim or not. The color of their skin does not play a role," Choudary said in a phone interview.

Some self-described supporters of fighters of the Islamic State have also taken the discussion to social media platforms using the hashtag "#FergusonUnderIS" and "ISISHERO."

Hagel: ISIS More Dangerous Than Al-Qaeda, "Beyond Anything We've Seen"

Hagel today:

U.S. military involvement in Iraq will continue because the long-term threat from ISIS is more dangerous, even than that from al-Qaeda, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said Thursday.

In a briefing at the Pentagon a day after the U.S. revealed that it launched a failed mission in Syria this summer to rescue U.S. hostages being held by the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sharm, Hagel said the U.S. is "very clear-eyed about the challenges ahead," stressing: "The U.S. military's involvement is not over."

Asked to compare ISIS to al-Qaeda, Hagel said it was "beyond anything that we've seen," calling the group more than "just a terrorist group." "They marry an ideology with a sophistication of strategy and military prowess" that represent "a whole new dynamic and a new paradigm of threats to this country," he said.

Obama in January calling ISIS a JV team:

In a wide-ranging interview with the New Yorker, President Barack Obama compared Al-Qaeda-linked militants in Iraq and Syria to junior varsity basketball players, downplaying their threat as small-league. He also shared what he thought were the chances of reaching Middle East peace agreements.

New Yorker editor David Remnick pointed out to the president that the Al Qaeda flag is now seen flying in Falluja in Iraq and in certain locations in Syria, and thus the terrorist group has not been "decimated" as Obama had said during his 2012 reelection campaign.

"The analogy we use around here sometimes, and I think is accurate, is if a jayvee team puts on Lakers uniforms that doesn't make them Kobe Bryant," Obama told Remnick. "I think there is a distinction between the capacity and reach of a bin Laden and a network that is actively planning major terrorist plots against the homeland versus jihadists

Dr. Baden Says His Autopsy Of Michael Brown Contradicts Witnesses
Claims That He Was Shot In Back

FOX NEWS INSIDER - Dr. Michael Baden, who conducted the autopsy at the request of Brown's family, talked to Bill Hemmer by phone this morning. His findings do not line up with witnesses who have claimed that Wilson shot Brown from behind.

http://nation.foxnews.com/2014/08/18/dr-baden-michael-brown-autopsy-contradicts-witnesses-points-excessive-force

"This autopsy shows that there wasn't any gunshot wounds in his back. Some people thought they saw that. An autopsy helps organize which witness testimony is more reliable," he said.

But he said the presence of six gunshot wounds points to "excessive" force by Wilson. Baden noted that Wilson may have fired even more shots that missed Brown, explaining that the police would know the total number of shots fired.

"There is legitimate concern as to whether the shooting was overreacting. That has to be answered and we don't have all the answers," said Baden.

(Excessive force ??  How big was Brown ?? = 6'4" 290# Big Dude.  Brown thought he could take that Police officer.  Just like he strong armed that shop keeper.  Brown probably got what he had coming...Warph)

He added that he did not have access to an important piece of evidence: Brown's clothing. Baden explained that if gunshot residue is found on clothing, it will tell a medical examiner that the gunman was within two feet or closer.

Baden: there was no gunshot residue on the body.

He stressed that the best way for local authorities to alleviate concerns from citizens after a police shooting is to be transparent and release autopsy findings quickly. St. Louis County has not released its autopsy findings.

"That takes away the concerns the community has of there being a cover-up," said Baden.

Federal authorities are going to conduct a third autopsy, which Baden said is "appropriate" in this case, but also "extremely unusual."

UPDATE, 11:30a ET: Professor Shawn Parcells, who conducted the autopsy with Baden, said the order of the gunshot wounds cannot be determined. But he said that their belief is that Brown was wounded prior to the fatal shot to the head, which struck the top of Brown's head.

Baden and Parcells said all of the wounds would have been survivable except the shot to the head.

One of the Brown family's attorneys stated his belief that the bullet entering through the top of the head is clear evidence that the teen had lowered his head in an effort to surrender.

Baden said right now, it's unclear which witness' account is most accurate based on the forensic evidence.

He also said there was no sign of a struggle.

"In talking about a struggle, one of the things that the attorneys have also asked for is the medical examination of the officer who was in a struggle. So signs of injury to the officer, to Michael Brown are both needed," said Baden, who also stressed that the autopsy is preliminary.

Montana Dems Replace Plagiarist With Socialist In Senate Race
She doesn't represent the people of Montana

Senate candidate tied to labor group seeking to 'do away with capitalism'

She is on the far left

(There are no words..........)

Via WFB
http://freebeacon.com/politics/montana-dems-replace-plagiarist-with-socialist-in-senate-race/

Montana Democrats are banking on a long-shot liberal Senate candidate to replace the disgraced John Walsh, but their choice might be too radical even for the increasingly extreme party.

Democrats are hoping that Montana state representative Amanda Curtis will be the next Elizabeth Warren: an outspoken and unapologetic liberal who can fire up the base and raise big bucks from like-minded benefactors.

A self-described "punktuator" who has been seen sporting a mohawk and studded denim jacket with the iconic anarchist "A," Curtis is certainly distinct from most Montana politicians.

Sen. Jon Tester (D., Mont.), the state's incumbent senator, is the upper chamber's only active farmer. Curtis' Republican opponent, Steve Daines, is a successful businessman. Walsh is a career Army officer.

Curtis, by contrast, is a teacher and an activist. She is an outspoken supporter of organized labor, and has endorsed some of its most radical historical leaders.

In 2008, Curtis penned two articles for the monthly newspaper of the Industrial Workers of the World, a far-left labor group.

One of the pieces, which reported on IWW recruiting activities at a Montana folk music festival, quoted "IWW member Kevin Curtis," who is Ms. Curtis' husband (that fact was not disclosed in the article).

Mr. Curtis is the Butte delegate for IWW's Montana affiliate, the Two Rivers General Membership Branch.

According to that group's website, it is "working to organize the people of Montana into the One Big Union to end wage slavery and eventually end the capitalist system."

GAO: Obuma Regime Broke The Law With Bergdahl Prisoner Swap

(Take a wild guess who doesn't give a sh!t if he broke the law?)

Via Fox News:
Congressional investigators say the Pentagon broke the law when it swapped five Guantanamo Bay detainees for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.

Bergdahl, who was released in May, was being held by the Taliban for five years. The non-partisan Government Accountability Office (GAO) reports that the Pentagon failed to notify relevant congressional committees far enough in advance.

GAO also says that the financing of the swap breaks the Antideficiency Act, which is meant to keep agencies from spending more money than Congress has allowed.

After the transfer, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel told lawmakers, "We made the right decision and we did it for the right reasons."
