I received this in an e-mail just now and i like it.
I haven't verified any of it, but I know parts are true.
here is hoping all of it is true.
I searched SNOPES and couldn't find anything either.

I thought these two e-mails, the first about Illinois and the
second about Oklahoma, made an interesting contrast .   .

Some interesting data on the 'state' of Illinois ...

There are more people on welfare in Illinois than there are people working.

Chicago pays the highest wages to teachers than anywhere else in the
U.S. averaging $110,000/year. Their pensions average 80-90% of their income.

Wow, are Illinois and Chicago great or what?

Perhaps the U.S. should  pull out of Chicago ?

Body count: In the last six  months, 292 killed (murdered) in Chicago. 
221 killed in Iraq ; AND Chicago has one of the strictest gun laws in the entire US.

And he is going to 'fix' Washington politics for us?

George Ryan is no longer Governor, he is in prison.

He was replaced by Rob Blagojevich who is, that's right, also in
prison.

And Representative Jesse Jackson Jr. resigned,  .. and that's right, he
and his wife both are in prison also.

The Land of Lincoln, where our Governors and Representatives make
our license plates.

  As long as they keep providing entitlements to the population of
Chicago, nothing is going to change, except the state will go broke
before the country does.

"Anybody who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the
Government take care of him better take a closer look at the American

PART  2— Oklahoma
OKLAHOMA  - may soon have plenty of new residents!

Oklahoma is the only state that Obama did not win even one county in
the last election... 

While everyone is focusing on Arizona 's new
law, look what Oklahoma has been doing!!!

An update from Oklahoma :

Oklahoma law passed, 37 to 9 an amendment to place the Ten
Commandments on the front entrance to the state capitol.

The feds in D.C, along  with the ACLU, said it would be a mistake.

Hey this is a conservative state, based on Christian values... HB   1330
Guess what... Oklahoma did it anyway.

Oklahoma recently passed a law in the state to incarcerate all
illegal immigrants, and ship them back to where they came from unless
they want to get a green card and become an American citizen.

They all scattered.

HB 1804. This was against the advice of the Federal Government, and
the ACLU, they said it would be a mistake.
Guess what... Oklahoma did it anyway.

Recently they passed a law to include DNA samples from any and all
illegal's to the Oklahoma database, for criminal investigative
purposes.

Guess  what... Oklahoma did it anyway.

Several weeks ago, they passed a law, declaring Oklahoma as a Sovereign state, not under the Federal Government directives.
Joining Texas, Montana and Utah as the only states to do so.
More states are likely to follow: Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia,
Carolina's,  Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, West Virginia,
Mississippi and Florida.

Save your confederate money, it appears the South is about to rise up
once again.

HJR1003 The federal Government has made bold steps to take away our guns.
Oklahoma, a week ago, passed a law confirming people in this state
have the right to bear arms and transport them in their vehicles. 
I'm sure that was a setback for the criminals.
The Liberals didn't like it --   But...
Guess what... Oklahoma did it anyway.

Just this month, the state has voted and passed a law that ALL
drivers' license exams will be printed in English, and only English,
and no other language.

They have been called racist for doing this, but the fact is that ALL
of the road signs are in English only.

You want to drive in Oklahoma, you must read and write English.
Really simple.

By the way, the Liberals don't like any of this either.
Guess what... who cares...Oklahoma is doing it anyway.

Man Claims Islamic Law Gives Him To Right To Kill Wife

Police say a valley man threatened to kill his wife, telling his victim "Islamic Law" gave him the right to kill her.

Ansar Muhammad, 43, is facing several charges, including assault and imprisonment.

According to the police report, on April 26, Muhammad sexually assaulted the victim, held her against her will while threatening to kill her, punched and strangulated her, causing physical injuries at their home near 112th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard.

Police say the victim fled to a neighbor's home to call them after the suspect fell asleep.

Muhammad was detained outside his residence upon police arrival and refused to make any statements.

In the report, police say their investigation determined that Muhammad and the victim were arguing about her having an affair when "Ansar picked the victim up, carrying her like a baby and put her in their vehicle against her will." He then proceeded to drive to the rear of a nearby Walgreens store where "Ansar began to assault the victim by punching her multiple times, leaving physical injuries on her face, neck, back, chest and legs."

When the victim continued to try to get away and told him to stop, police say he told the victim he was going to kill her because he had the right due to his "Islamic Belief."

The victim told police Muhammad then drove back to their home and threatened to throw her in a lake because she can't swim. When they arrived at the residence, Muhammad told the victim to remain quiet and not wake their three children before taking her phone, per the police report.

Muhammad was arrested and booked into the Avondale city jail and later transported to the Maricopa County jail. He faces aggravated assault domestic violence-impede breathing, assault-intent/reckless/injury, unlawful imprisonment, threatening-intimidation with injury and sexual assault charges.

He's being held without bond.

A top US academic has dramatically revealed how government officials forced him to change a hugely influential scientific report on climate change to suit their own interests.

Harvard professor Robert Stavins electrified the worldwide debate on climate change on Friday by sensationally publishing a letter online in which he spelled out the astonishing interference.

He said the officials, representing 'all the main countries and regions of the world' insisted on the changes in a late-night meeting at a Berlin conference centre two weeks ago.

Three quarters of the original version of the document ended up being deleted.

Prof Stavins claimed the intervention amounted to a serious 'conflict of interest' between scientists and governments. His revelation is significant because it is rare for climate change experts to publicly question the process behind the compilation of reports on the subject.

Prof Stavins, Harvard's Professor of Business and Government, was one of two 'co-ordinating lead authors' of a key report published by the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) earlier this month.

His chapter of the 2,000-page original report concerned ways countries can co-operate to reduce carbon emissions.

IPCC reports are supposed to be scrupulously independent as they give scientific advice to governments around the world to help them shape energy policies – which in turn affect subsidies and domestic power bills.

Prof Stavins said the government officials in Berlin fought to make big changes to the full report's 'summary for policymakers'. This is the condensed version usually cited by the world's media and politicians. He said their goal was to protect their 'negotiating stances' at forthcoming talks over a new greenhouse gas reduction treaty.

Somali Islamists Drag Christian Woman From Home, Publicly Execute Her

Islamic militants from the al-Shabaab terrorist organization reportedly dragged out a Christian woman from her home in Somalia and shot her dead while friends and neighbors tried to save her.

According to International Christian Concern, the murder occurred earlier this month when armed militants stormed the home of the woman, Sufia, in Mogadishu. She was dragged out in front of her parents by gunpoint, before being publicly shot in front of a crowd. Friends and neighbors attempted to save her.

The Islamists had accused the Somali woman of being an apostate (a person who converts from Islam to another faith).

"Al-Shabaab is an Islamic extremist group that has vowed to make Somalia 'purely Islamic.' The group adheres to a fundamentalist interpretation of Islam that includes the beheading of converts from Islam, or, as we've witnessed in Sufia's case, execution by firing squad," ICC Regional Manager for Africa William Stark stated . "The group continues to terrorize not just Christians in Somalia, but any act, person, or policy that could be construed as supportive of Christianity in Somalia.

*Ten Obvious Reasons Why

#1 18,000 deadly terror attacks committed explicitly in the name of Islam in just the last ten years.  (Other religions combined for perhaps a dozen or so).

#2 Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, had people killed for insulting him or for criticizing his religion.  This included women.  Muslims are told to emulate the example of Muhammad.

#4 After Muhammad died, the people who lived with him and knew his religion best immediately fell into war with each other. 

Fatima, Muhammad's favorite daughter, survived the early years among the unbelievers at Mecca safe and sound, yet died of stress from the persecution of fellow Muslims only six months after her father died.  She even miscarried Muhammad's grandchild after having her ribs broken by the man who became the second caliph.

Fatima's husband Ali, who was the second convert to Islam and was raised like a son to Muhammad, fought a civil war against an army raised by Aisha, Muhammad's favorite wife - and one whom he had said was a "perfect woman."  10,000 Muslims were killed in a single battle waged less than 25 years after Muhammad's death.

Three of the first four Muslim rulers (caliphs) were murdered.  All of them were among Muhammad's closest companions.  The third caliph was killed by allies of the son of the first (who was murdered by the fifth caliph a few years later, then wrapped in the skin of a dead donkey and burned).  The fourth caliph (Ali) was stabbed to death after a bitter dispute with the fifth.  The fifth caliph went on to poison one of Muhammad's two favorite grandsons.  The other grandson was later beheaded by the sixth caliph.

The infighting and power struggles between Muhammad's family members, closest companions and their children only intensified with time.  Within 50 short years of Muhammad's death, even the Kaaba, which had stood for centuries under pagan religion, lay in ruins from internal Muslim war...

And that's just the fate of those within the house of Islam!

#5 Muhammad directed Muslims to wage war on other religions and bring them under submission to Islam.  Within the first few decades following his death, his Arabian companions invaded and conquered Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist and Zoroastrian lands.
A mere 25 years after Muhammad's death, Muslim armies had captured land and people within the borders of over 28 modern countries outside of Saudi Arabia.

[b#6[/b] Muslims continued their Jihad against other religions for 1400 years, checked only by the ability of non-Muslims to defend themselves.  To this day, not a week goes by that Islamic fundamentalists do not attempt to kill Christians, Jews, Hindus and Buddhists explicitly in the name of Allah. 
None of these other religions are at war with each other.

#7 Islam is the only religion that has to retain its membership by threatening to kill anyone who leaves.  This is according to the example set by Muhammad.

#8 Islam teaches that non-Muslims are less than fully human.  Muhammad said that Muslims can be put to death for murder, but that a Muslim could never be put to death for killing a non-Muslim.

#9 The Qur'an never once speaks of Allah's love for non-Muslims, but it speaks of Allah's cruelty toward and hatred of non-Muslims more than 500 times.

Missouri House endorses
legislation targeting

JEFFERSON CITY, Missouri — Missouri House members have approved legislation barring state or local officials from adopting policies that infringe upon private property rights and are traceable to Agenda 21.

Agenda 21 is a nonbinding resolution adopted in 1992 by the United Nations that encouraged sustainable development. Its title is a reference to the 21st century, and it encourages changes in global consumption, management and conservation practices.

The House approved the measure 99-46 on Monday, moving it to the Senate.

Gov. Jay Nixon vetoed the same legislation last year. The Senate approved a veto override, but the effort fell short of the necessary two-thirds majority in the House.

"If a man raised his hand to a woman you had the job to kick the living crap out of him if he did it," Biden said, reflecting on growing up in Scranton, Pa.

Biden acknowledged that his description was "not very presidential or vice presidential" but added that it was "something every man should begin to understand."

The White House on Tuesday called on colleges to develop better metrics for identifying sexual assaults on their campuses. President Obama is pushing for all colleges to conduct mandatory surveys on sexual assault by 2016.

The news that Barack Obama is "facing the worst poll numbers of his presidency" warranted a mere 18 seconds of attention from Good Morning America on Tuesday. This scant coverage is despite the fact that ABC conducted the poll in question (along with the Washington Post).

Reporter Amy Robach briefly explained, "And President Obama is returning to Washington today, facing the worst poll numbers of his presidency. His approval rating has dropped to 41 percent, mostly because of the economy."

In contrast, when George W. Bush's approval rating dropped to 42 percent on March 7, 2006, GMA offered two segments. Co-host Robin Roberts trumpeted, "President Bush's job approval rating has sunk to a new career low." In another story, Roberts hyped, "We begin with the President's slumping poll numbers."
