Mr. Evil Eric Holder: We Want to Explore Gun Tracking Bracelets

Speaking before a U.S. House of Representatives appropriations committee on Friday, Attorney General Eric Holder said the Department of Justice wants to explore gun-tracking bracelets as part of its gun control efforts.

With a hat tip and a wink to the Second Amendment, he acknowledged that the Second Amendment provides the unqualified right to own and carry weapons.

Well, sort of.

When speaking about gun control, Holder said the DOJ is turning to technology advances, reported the Washington Free Beacon.
http://freebeacon.com/issues/holder-we-want-to-explore-gun-tracking-bracelets/

[/youtube]

"I think that one of the things that we learned when we were trying to get passed those common sense reforms last year, Vice President Biden and I had a meeting with a group of technology people and we talked about how guns can be made more safe," he said.

Wait. What? You mean the Joe Biden that recommended women to shoot a doubled barrel shotgun into the air to scare off robbers?

Yes. That Joe Biden.

Holder explained further.

"By making them either through fingerprint identification, the gun talks to a bracelet or something that you might wear, how guns can be used only by the person who is lawfully in possession of the weapon," he said.

"It's those kinds of things that I think we want to try to explore so that we can make sure that people have the ability to enjoy their Second Amendment rights, but at the same time decreasing the misuse of weapons that lead to the kinds of things that we see on a daily basis," Holder said.

The DOJ is asking for $382.1 million in increased spending for its fiscal year 2014 budget for gun safety. Included in that hefty number are technology grants that would award prizes for innovation in gun safety.

A recent innovation allows a gun owner to only unlock a safe with a fingerprint scan and an "RFID-equipped bracelet." Another idea is manufacturing GPS tracking and RFID chips into every gun. The chips would transmit location data and could be used by law enforcement to send automatic alerts if a weapon moves away from the tracker, indicating that the gun is lost or stolen.

So, you're constitutionally allowed to carry a weapon, but as long as you give us all of your private data and let the government track you.

Last Man Standing

Rancher: armed feds are surrounding my farm

BY: Elizabeth Harrington
April 8, 2014 7:34 pm

A two-decades-old battle between a Nevada rancher and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has resulted in officials armed with machine guns surrounding the ranch and forcibly removing the owner's cattle, according to the rancher's family.

Cliven Bundy, the last rancher in Clark County, Nev., has been fighting a "one-man range war" since 1993, when he decided to take a stand against the agency, refusing to pay fees for the right to graze on a ranch run by his family for centuries.

After years of court battles, the BLM secured a federal court order to have Bundy's "trespass cattle" forcibly removed with heavy artillery, the family said.

"The battle's been going on for 20 years," Bundy told theWashington Free Beacon. "What's happened the last two weeks, the United States government, the bureaus are getting this army together and they're going to get their job done and they're going to prove two things. They're going to prove they can do it, and they're gonna prove that they have unlimited power, and that they control the policing power over this public land. That's what they're trying to prove."

Bundy said the government has brought everything but tanks and rocket launchers.

"They're carrying the same things a soldier would," he said. "Automatic weapons, sniper rifles, top communication, top surveillance equipment, lots of vehicles. It's heavy soldier type equipment."

His wife, Carol Bundy, said that roughly 200 armed agents from the BLM and FBI are stationed around their land, located about 75 miles outside of Las Vegas. Helicopters circle the premises, and the airspace and nearby roads remain blocked.

"We're surrounded," Carol Bundy said. "We're estimating that there are over 200 armed BLM, FBI. We've got surveillance cameras at our house, they're probably listening to me talk to you right now."

A National Park Service spokesman denied there were armed guards rounding up the cattle in a conference call on Tuesday. However, she confirmed that there was "security" in place, citing threats to the contractors who are removing the cattle.

"Contractors are here and they are in place to round-up the cattle and to bring them to the impound area," Christie Vanover said. "As for security, there [is] security in place, but that is merely to protect the contractors."

"As you know, we have received threats and the contractors have received threats," Vanover said. "Our personnel here and throughout the park service and throughout the BLM have received threats, as well. So security is in place to merely protect the contractors so that we can complete this operation."

As of Monday, officials have seized 234 of Bundy's 908 cattle. Impounding the cattle alone could cost the government as much as $3 million.

"They just brought a load down today," she said. "They kind of harass us as well. When we leave they follow us."

This afternoon eight helicopters surrounded the family after they began taking pictures, according to Bundy's daughter, Bailey. Their son, Dave Bundy, was arrested for taking pictures on state road 170, which has been closed, and is being held by BLM.

The BLM said they took Dave Bundy into custody following his "failure to comply with multiple requests by BLM law enforcement to leave the temporary closure area on public lands."

Carol Bundy said five officials took Dave and "threw him on the ground."

"One put his knee on his head, the other put his boot on his head and pushed him into the gravel," she said. "He's got quite a bruised head. Just bruised him up pretty good."

Environmentalists are praising the government's forceful actions, which are being taken to protect the "desert tortoise."

"We're heartened and thankful that the agencies are finally living up to their stewardship duty," said Rob Mrowka, a Nevada-based senior scientist with the Center for Biological Diversity. "The Gold Butte area has been officially designated as critical habitat for threatened tortoises—meaning the area is essential to their long-term survival as a species."

"[Cliven] Bundy has long falsely believed that Gold Butte is his ranch," added Terri Robertson, president of Friends of Sloan Canyon.

The BLM designated 186,909 acres of the Gold Butte off-limits for the "critical desert tortoise" population in 1998. Bundy had already lost his grazing permit five years earlier for refusing to pay fees for the land, which his family has ranched since the 1870s.

The "federal grazing fee" is $1.35 per "Animal Unit Month," or the amount of forage needed per animal, each month. Bundy said he owes roughly $300,000 in back fees, while the BLM asserts he owes over $1 million. The BLM defended the removal because Bundy did not "voluntarily" give up his cattle.

"We've tried to do this through the legal and we've tried to do it through the political, and what we're at right now, I guess we're going to have to try to stand," Cliven Bundy said. "We the people have to stand on the ground and get our state sovereignty back, and also take some liberty and freedoms back to where we have at least access to this land."

"The story is a lot about the cattle, but the bigger story is about our loss of freedom," Carol Bundy added. "They have come and taken over this whole corner of the county. They've taken over policing power, they've taken over our freedom, and they're stealing cattle."

"And our sheriff says he just doesn't have authority, our governor says he doesn't have authority, and we're saying, why are we a state?"

"I'm a producer," Cliven Bundy said. "I produce edible commodity from the desert forage, and all of these things are governed under state law. So, in other words, this type of government has eliminated all of our state law, eliminated our state sovereignty, and has took control over our public lands and even took control over our Clark County sheriff. They've taken the whole county over. The whole state, almost."

"This is just about power of the government," Carol Bundy said.

Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval (R.) voiced his concern about so-called "First Amendment Areas," designated locations set up by the BLM where citizens can protest the removal.

"Most disturbing to me is the BLM's establishment of a 'First Amendment Area' that tramples upon Nevadans' fundamental rights under the U.S. Constitution," he said in a statement Tuesday.

"To that end, I have advised the BLM that such conduct is offensive to me and countless others and that the 'First Amendment Area' should be dismantled immediately," he said.  "No cow justifies the atmosphere of intimidation which currently exists nor the limitation of constitutional rights that are sacred to all Nevadans.  The BLM needs to reconsider its approach to this matter and act accordingly."

Sandoval also said his office has received numerous complaints about the BLM's conduct, including road closures and "other disturbances."

Hillary Clinton's Upcomin CA Appearance A No-Show

BY: Washington Free Beacon Staff
April 3, 2014 9:00 am

"Stay out of San Diego, Bitch" is the message by protestors to potential Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, KSWB-CA reports.

Clinton's team told reporters she couldn't make the planned visit there because of her "busy schedule," but the reality appears to be that she didn't want the negative press associated with protestors shouting down her appearance.

"She frankly is not welcome here in San Diego by so many of us, and we don't want her," said Jan Iverson, an opponent of Clinton's possible presidential plans due to her role in Benghazi's security lapse.

Pat Smith, whose son Sean Smith was killed in the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attack at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, is also at the center of the protest.

Clinton is scheduled to be the keynote speaker at the Western Health Care Leadership Academy, a four-day conference at the San Diego Convention Center. She will speak via satellite instead of on stage.

Six Billion in Taxpayer Dollars Disappears from State Department Records (On Hillary Clinton's Watch)

According to a recent report by the State Department's Office of the Inspector General (OIG), $6 billion worth of contracting money paid out by the department over the past six years cannot be accounted for.

The revelation calls into question the management of the State Department across the tenures of both Hillary Clinton and John Kerry. American taxpayers should be asking some questions about government accountability in light of the recent revelations.

The OIG issued the "management alert" to draw attention to problems that had been identified in earlier investigations and that remained unaddressed. According to the alert:

OIG has identified Department of State...contracts with a total value of more than $6 billion in which contract files were incomplete or could not be located at all. The failure to maintain contract files adequately creates significant financial risk and demonstrates a lack of internal control over the Department's contract actions.
At issue is the State Department's failure to adequately oversee and monitor the contractors hired by the department and the disturbing number of files on specific contracts with missing or incomplete paperwork. The report notes the cost of the failure to keep accurate contracting records:

It creates conditions conducive to fraud, as corrupt individuals may attempt to conceal evidence of illicit behavior by omitting key documents from the contract file.
Losing track of money equal to more than 10 percent of the State Department's fiscal year 2013 budget is entirely unacceptable. Something has gone very wrong at the State Department over the past six years. The American people deserve better. Congress and the Administration should do what they can to ensure, as the OIG recommends, that the State Department implements processes to account for expenditures and hold individuals accountable for the missing $6 billion.

{I didn't vote for this bottom feeding scum sucker.}

The DARK Act is Here:
Denying Americans'
Right-to-Know

Big Food is trying to kill your right to know if the food you're eating is genetically engineered.

With their anti-labeling allies like Monsanto and Dow, the Grocery Manufacturers Association has teamed up with Koch brothers-backed Congressman Mike Pompeo of Kansas to introduce a federal bill that would deny your right to know.

The bill, which we're calling the "Deny Americans the Right-to-Know Act (DARK Act)," would:

Prevent states from adopting their own GE labeling laws.
Block any attempt by states to make it illegal for food companies to put a "natural" label on products that contain GE ingredients.
Prevent the Food and Drug Administration from requiring companies to label GE ingredients and instead continue a failed "voluntary" labeling policy.

The bill--crafted by the Grocery Manufacturers Association-led Coalition for Safe and Affordable Food, has just been introduced by Rep. Pompeo, and has reportedly picked up two co-sponsors: Reps. Butterfield (D-NC 1st district) and Blackburn (R-TN 7th district). All three lawmakers serve on the Energy and Commerce Committee, which has jurisdiction over GE food labeling.

It's no surprise that industry chose the Kansas Republican as their cheerleader. Pompeo was the single largest recipient of campaign funds from Koch Industries in 2010. It's clear that corporate money = legislative favors with Congressman Pompeo.

And now the Koch brothers are teaming up with Monsanto? Monsanto was the single largest contributor against the recent Washington State ballot initiative to label GE foods. Between Washington State and California, Monsanto, along with GMA and other agribusiness companies, have contributed over $67 million to keep consumers in the dark.

So what's wrong with "voluntary" GE food labeling? In a word: everything. It is grossly misleading for industry—let alone members of Congress—to continue trumpeting the idea that voluntary labeling will solve the overwhelming consumer demand for labeling in the marketplace. In the 13 years that FDA has allowed companies to voluntarily label genetically engineered foods, not one single company has done so.

Without mandatory labeling of GE foods, consumers are being left in the dark about the foods we are purchasing and feeding our families. In 2013, over 50 GE labeling bills were introduced in 26 states, including Hawaii, Washington, Indiana, Missouri, and Vermont.

This industry-backed bill will cut these state labeling bills off at the knees and replace them with an undemocratic, hollow "voluntary" labeling scheme that does nothing to address consumer interests and only serves to allow corporations to deny us our right to know.

Tell Congress to drop this corporate hand-out of a bill!

Changing the Rules, Changing America:
The Senate and Judicial Supremacy

Among the most important and long-lasting actions of a President are his nominations to the federal agencies and courts. Likewise, among the most significant and consequential votes of United States Senators are their confirmation votes on federal judges. As a matter of principle, Senators should never vote to confirm a federal judge unless the record of the nominee demonstrates respect for the role of the judiciary to decide cases rather than to legislate from the bench.

Over the past 60 years, liberals have stealthily and intermittently begun confirming radical activists to the courts. Although Senate procedure provides the power of the "filibuster" to stop or stall nominees, Senators have often neglected to stop bad nominees, generally deeming them to be the President's prerogative. As a result, virtually no issue goes untouched by the courts.

From religious liberty to property rights, and most recently from marriage to government-run healthcare, the American way of life has fallen prey to decisions from judges who legislate liberal policies from the bench. Phyllis Schlafly has written extensively [18] on this topic and in her book The Supremacists [19] notes that these individuals have "replaced the rule of law with the rule of judges [20]."

In the recent past, as Americans have realized the impact of these nominations, conservatives have been successful in stopping [21] some of the most egregious nominees. In 2013, however, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid broke the Senate rules to change the Senate rules, destroying the ability of the minority to stop nominees unfit for the courts.

Throughout his tenure, Senator Reid has been scamming the American people [22] by consistently using Senate procedure to shut conservatives out of the process while creating the illusion that they are filibustering. Few people have time to watch Senate proceedings on C-SPAN every day, and the mainstream media does not cover stories that jeopardize Reid's liberal agenda. So, not only has Reid gotten away with tyranny, but he has also disingenuously blamed Republicans for obstructing his tyranny.

He began last year with his usual dirty tricks by convincing a few RINOs to go along with an alleged compromise on so-called "filibuster reform [23]." This reform, designed to shut conservatives further out of the legislative process, was only the beginning of the tyranny that ensued. By the end of 2013, Senator Reid had invoked the "nuclear option" [24] by rushing through a bill that allowed a simple majority (versus the traditional 60-vote threshold) of Senators to invoke Cloture (ending debate) on all Executive branch and judicial nominations.

The term "nuclear option" could not be more appropriate, analogous to "nuclear weapons," the most extreme option in warfare. Warfare is exactly what the Obama Administration and Harry Reid's Senate are waging on conservative Republicans, Senate decorum, and the American tradition. Out-of-control spending and continued federal intrusion will be the least of our worries if President Obama is allowed even one more Supreme Court nomination. The Republican Party must take control of the Senate in November if we want America to survive.

Almost weekly, the Senate confirms more Obama nominees to the courts, and next on the calendar is yet another radical nominee unfit for the bench. Michelle T. Friedland, a liberal attorney and radical activist from California, has been nominated by President Obama to the 9th Circuit Court.

Friedland's record indicates a clear disregard for "separation of powers" and a government run "by the people," and her radical interpretation of judicial power has led her to create new rights while ignoring those long enjoyed by Americans. According to her own writings, rights begin and end with judges. Her amicus briefs have sought to limit religious liberty, and she recently dismissed traditional Judeo-Christians beliefs on homosexuality as a "discredited practice."

She has repeatedly advocated international judges as authorities over state law and holds such a radical belief in judicial supremacy that even the most liberal Senator should heavily weigh the implications of her confirmation. Her judicial philosophy seeks to make the legislative branch completely irrelevant. Confirming Michelle Friedland would be another blow to the idea of a limited judiciary.

Not only would she be a deplorable judge, but Harry Reid's complete usurpation of power should not be rewarded and deserves a bold response. Conservatives should work adamantly to defeat her by ensuring their Senators vote no on confirmation. At the end of the day, however, the only way to end the tyranny of the judiciary is to elect a conservative Senate, starting in November of 2014.

BLM fracking racket exposed!
Armed siege and cattle theft
from Bundy ranch
really about fracking leases

Thursday, April 10, 2014
by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger

(NaturalNews) The Bureau of Land Management says its 200-man armed siege of the Cliven Bundy ranch in Nevada is all about protecting an "endangered tortoise." But a Natural News investigation has found that BLM is actually in the business of raking in millions of dollars by leasing Nevada lands to energy companies that engage in fracking operations.

This document from the Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology(1) shows significant exploratory drilling being conducted in precisely the same area where the Bundy family has been running cattle since the 1870's. The "Gold Butte" area is indicated on the lower right corner of the document (see below), and it clearly shows numerous exploratory drilling operations have been conducted there.

What's also clear is that oil has been found in nearby areas and possibly even within the Gold Butte area itself.

It is, of course, customary for the U.S. government to bring armed soldiers to an oil dispute. (Operation "Iraqi Freedom" for starters...) Heavily armed snipers, helicopters and militarized soldiers have never been invoked over tortoises. (Anyone who thinks this siege is about reptiles is kidding themselves.)

Here's the map showing the oil exploration conducted on the land where Bundy runs his cattle (all the red crosshairs are oil and gas exploration drilling operations):

BLM collects $1.27 million in shale fracking leases
The Bureau of Land Management has just cashed in with $1.27 million in oil and gas leases in Nevada. This was just reported two weeks ago in ShaleReporter.com, which states:

U.S. Bureau of Land Management geologist Lorenzo Trimble tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal the Elko County oil and gas leases sold Tuesday for $1.27 million to six different companies. The auction took place in Reno. The leases are near where Houston-based Noble Energy Inc. wants to drill for oil and natural gas on 40,000 acres of public and private land near the town of Wells. The Review-Journal reports the project would be the first in Nevada to use hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, to extract oil and gas from shale deposits.

The way this works, of course, is that BLM runs land theft operations by claiming they are "managing" the land and thereby kicking everyone else off it. They then invoke a reptile, an owl, a bird, a snake or some other animal which they claim to be "saving," even while they are stealing and destroying hundreds of cattle belonging to a private rancher trying to make an honest living in a nation where productive Americans are increasingly branded "enemies of the state."

Once control of the land is established via court order or by bringing armed men with automatic weapons, BLM then turns around and leases the land to fracking companies who proceed to exploit the land using hydraulic fracturing techniques that inject toxic chemicals into groundwater supplies (and have been linked to earthquakes). The money collected by the BLM is then used to increase BLM salaries and bonuses.

In essence, the BLM is a criminal mafia racket, and Cliven Bundy just happened to be in the way of their next target, the Gold Butte area of Nevada. That is why they brought hundreds of heavily armed men to a "save the tortoise" operation.

"Endangered tortoises" is merely the government cover story for confiscating land to turn it over to fracking companies for millions of dollars in energy leases. In truth, the BLM was rapidly euthanizing these very same reptiles en masse last year.(2)

As part of its police state intimidation to control the land, BLM unleashed attack dogs on a pregnant woman.

See the brutality invoked by the BLM against peaceful protesters in this video of a near-riot just outside the Bundy ranch:

Does anyone really believe this is still about a tortoise?
