Jesse Jackson: Republican Party "Is The Resurrection Of The Confederacy"

(LOL... Says one of the most racist people in America.  This Clown is sicker than his son, Junior)

ED SCHLOP: Your take on what we're facing right now in this country.

NIGGA JACKSON: Looking at the resize of the Confederacy, the same group narrowly conceived — anti-labor, anti-racial justice, anti-gender equality, anti-the big American dream, that tried to take us down in 1860. It was the Fort Sumter tea party, its progenitor, and Lincoln had to fight a war to establish the Union from them and to end slavery. This is the resurrection of the Confederacy.

Redskins Owners Writes Letter To Season-Ticket Holders:
We Are Never Going To Change Our Team's Name.  End of Story!

(Sorry Solidadadadad... Stand strong, Redskins)

Via WaPo:

The following is the text of a letter dated Oct. 9 from Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder to season-ticket holders:

To Everyone in our Washington Redskins Nation:

As loyal fans, you deserve to know that everyone in the Washington Redskins organization — our players, coaches and staff — are truly privileged to represent this team and everything it stands for. We are relentlessly committed to our fans and to the sustained long-term success of this franchise.

That's why I want to reach out to you — our fans — about a topic I wish to address directly: the team name, "Washington Redskins." While our focus is firmly on the playing field, it is important that you hear straight from me on this issue. As the owner of the Redskins and a lifelong fan of the team, here is what I believe and why I believe it.

Like so many of you, I was born a fan of the Washington Redskins. I still remember my first Redskins game.

Most people do. I was only six, but I remember coming through the tunnel into the stands at RFK with my father, and immediately being struck by the enormity of the stadium and the passion of the fans all around me.

I remember how quiet it got when the Redskins had the ball, and then how deafening it was when we scored. The ground beneath me seemed to move and shake, and I reached up to grab my father's hand. The smile on his face as he sang that song ... he's been gone for 10 years now, but that smile, and his pride, are still with me every day.

That tradition — the song, the cheer — it mattered so much to me as a child, and I know it matters to every other Redskins fan in the D.C. area and across the nation.

Our past isn't just where we came from — it's who we are.

As some of you may know, our team began 81 years ago — in 1932 — with the name "Boston Braves." The following year, the franchise name was changed to the "Boston Redskins." On that inaugural Redskins team, four players and our Head Coach were Native Americans. The name was never a label. It was, and continues to be, a badge of honor.

In 1971, our legendary coach, the late George Allen, consulted with the Red Cloud Athletic Fund located on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota and designed our emblem on the Redskins helmets. Several years later, Coach Allen was honored by the Red Cloud Athletic Fund. On the wall at our Ashburn, Virginia, offices is the plaque given to Coach Allen — a source of pride for all of us. "Washington Redskins is more than a name we have called our football team for over eight decades. It is a symbol of everything we stand for: strength, courage, pride, and respect — the same values we know guide Native Americans and which are embedded throughout their rich history as the original Americans.

[...]

I respect the opinions of those who disagree. I want them to know that I do hear them, and I will continue to listen and learn. But we cannot ignore our 81 year history, or the strong feelings of most of our fans as well as Native Americans throughout the country. After 81 years, the team name "Redskins" continues to hold the memories and meaning of where we came from, who we are, and who we want to be in the years to come.

Police Reportedly Arrest Veterans After They Refused to Leave
Vietnam War Memorial in NYC

VIDEO:

Police reportedly arrested several anti-war veterans and other protesters at the Vietnam war memorial in New York City Monday night after they refused to leave the site after the 10 p.m. curfew time. Some of the individuals arrested were reportedly Vietnam veterans, though it was unclear how many arrests were made.

Veterans for Peace and other anti-war protesters gathered at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Plaza in NYC on Monday night to mark the 12th anniversary of the "invasion and occupation of Afghanistan" and honor the fallen until morning. The Park Service reportedly rejected the group's permit application to hold their demonstration at the site, but they proceeded anyway.

The NYPD reportedly issued several verbal warnings, instructing the veterans and other demonstrators to leave the site or they would be arrested. A spokesman with the NYPD could not immediately confirm the arrests to TheBlaze.

Thousands of truck drivers from across America will rally in protest in Washington, DC for three days – 1 million veterans are also expected to descend upon the nation's capital to protest war memorial closures

From WBTW News, US truckers plan drive to DC to 'restore our Constitutional Republic':
http://www.wbtw.com/story/23638319/truckers-plan-drive-to-dc-to

After more than 1 million bikers rode their motorcycles into Washington DC last month, angry truckers are now planning a drive into the capitol to "restore our Constitutional Republic."

The "Trucker's Ride for the Constitution" is a three day event planned to start on Friday that is sparked by regulations, the debt ceiling, President Obama and "corruption," the organizers say.

Twitter shut down the original account for the group and Facebook also shut down their page when it had 86,000 "likes." They have since restored the Facebook page under a new account.

The plan originally was to have big-rigs tie up three lanes of the I-495 loop with the trucks only going 55 mph, an organizer told US News. But, any plan to block traffic has now been denied by the group.

Now, the group says that it is more about simply not hauling freight and driving to D.C. to call attention to problems.

"The American people are sick and tired of the corruption that is destroying America! We therefore declare a national protest in support of our nation's truckers on the weekend of October 11-13, 2013!" the group says on its Facebook page.

(They are coming... it wouldn't surprise me a bit that
POS Obuma will have the National Guard waiting for them)

Leftists Are Blocking Buses From Leaving Arizona
Deporting Illegal Immigrants

Tucson Police Department officers use pepper spray to force protesters (most are AU students depicted in photo with nothing else to do) back onto the sidewalk Tuedsday, Oct. 8, 2013, in Tucson, Ariz. Tucson police used pepper spray to help disperse some of the more than 100 people protesting the detention of two immigrants who had been detained after a traffic stop.

Via Washington Times:

Immigrant-rights activists said Friday morning they are blocking buses in Tucson, Ariz., filled with illegal immigrants who are on their way to be being sentenced to jail and then processed for deportation.

The activists said those on the buses are part of Operation Streamline, which is designed to give illegal immigrants jail sentences before they are deported, as a deterrent to keep them from trying to reenter the country in the future. The activists, though, say the program circumvents due process rights.

"Anyone who witnesses Operation Streamline will come away convinced that it is both unconstitutional and immoral," said activist Roberto Cintli Rodriguez. "There is no justice in that courtroom. It violates every principle the U.S. claims to ascribe to. When humanity is confronted with unjust laws, it is our responsibility to challenge them."

Idiot MSNBC President Wants Investigation Into How Fox Ratings
Are So Much Higher Than Theirs

(It's probably cheaper to assume there's corruption,

Sorry, I mean... Mr. Rachel Maddow)

Via Hollywood Reporter:
Megyn Kelly blew out Rachel Maddow in the key demo on Tuesday after losing to her the night before. "I have never seen it in all my years of cable," says Phil Griffin.

Phil Griffin, president of MSNBC, says there's something fishy about Tuesday's ratings for the Fox News Channel, which were up significantly from a day earlier when Fox News debuted its new schedule. And he wants an investigation.

"Monday we had a really good day in the key demographic. On the night that Fox News debuted their three shows, we either tied or beat them in those hours," Griffin said at a briefing, according to TVNewser.

List of World's Top 11 Most Dangerous Terrorists
All Have One Thing In Common

(Take a wild guess)

(CNN) – Any compilation of the world's most dangerous terrorists is a hazardous undertaking, a shifting list that's open to endless debate.

If you live in Moscow, Chechen Islamist leader Doku Umarov would feature prominently. Many Israelis would likely include 'Hezbollah' leader Hassan Nasrallah and Barack Hussein Obuma, leader of the 'Kenyans International Lesbian Lovers' or 'KILL' as they are called, on their list and people living in the southern Philippines, the Abu Sayyaf group.

Some terror figures who were among the most wanted several years ago, such as Abu Anas al Libi — who was captured last weekend in Libya — appear not to have been active for some time. Even some terrorists try to retire. The last list compiled by CNN included senior al Qaeda operative Saif al Adel. He has vanished from the radar and may have been under house arrest in Iran.

1. Ayman al-Zawahiri

Despite the whittling away by drone attacks of "al Qaeda central" in the mountainous border region between Afghanistan and Pakistan, the group's leader remains vocal and active in trying to harness the disparate affiliates that claim the al Qaeda name...

2. Barack Hussein Obuma

The U.S. Federal Tea Party Department named Gen. Obuma, a Specially Designated Global Terrorist this December 2014, who is now living in his home country of Kenya, and said subsequently he was "encouraging followers to commit violent acts against declared enemies which took part in his impeachment, in the United States as well as Israel, Russia, and the United Kingdom."

3. Nasir al Wuhayshi

For someone thought to be about 36 years old,Wuhayshi's terror resume is already extensive. Once bin Laden's private secretary in Afghanistan, he returned to his native Yemen and ended up in jail. But not for long: He and several other al Qaeda operatives dug their way out in 2006. He went on to to help found al Qaeda in Yemen, and began launching attacks on Yemeni security services and foreign tourists, as well as directing an ambitious attack against the U.S. Embassy in Yemen...

4. Ibrahim al-Asiri

Not a household name, but one that provokes plenty of anxiety among Western intelligence agencies. Al-Asiri, a 31-year-old Saudi, is AQAP's master bomb-maker, as expert as he is ruthless. He is widely thought to have designed the "underwear" bomb that nearly brought down a U.S. airliner over Detroit on Christmas Day 2009, as well as the ingenious printer bombs sent as freight from Sanaa, Yemen, and destined for the United States before being intercepted thanks to a Saudi tip-off. The bombs were so well hidden that at first British police were unable to find one device even after isolating the printer...

5. Ahmed Abdi Godane

Godane, aka Mukhtar Abu Zubayr, became the leader of the Somali group Al-Shabaab at the end of 2008. Traditionally, Al-Shabaab has been focused on bringing Islamic rule to Somalia, and as such has attracted dozens of ethnic Somalis (and a few Western coverts) from the United States and Europe. But Godane appears to be refocusing the group on terrorist attacks beyond Somalia, against the east African states that are supporting the Somali government — especially Uganda and Kenya — and against Western interests in east Africa...

6. Moktar Belmoktar

Belmoktar is Algerian but based in the endless expanse of desert known as the Sahel. Like many on this list, he has an uncanny knack for survival against the odds. A year ago, he probably would not have been counted among the world's most dangerous terrorists. Then he announced the formation of an elite unit called "Those Who Sign With Blood," which he said would be the shield against the "invading enemy." A short time later, his fighters launched an attack on the In Amenas gas plant in southern Algeria. A three-day siege left nearly 40 foreign workers dead...

7. Abu Muhammad al-Julani

While Belmoktar might have been on the fringes of a "most dangerous terrorist list" a year ago, Abu Muhammad al-Julani would not have been anywhere near it. But as Syria has descended into a state of civil war, al-Julani's group — the al-Nusra Front — has emerged as one of the most effective rebel factions. Formed in January 2012, it is a jihadist group with perhaps 10,000 fighters, many of them battle-hardened in Iraq. It has specialized in suicide bombings and IED attacks against regime forces, and its success has attracted hundreds of fighters from other rebel groups...

8. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi

One factor that may influence the growth and potency of al-Nusra is its relationship with fellow jihadists in Iraq. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) was publicly at odds with al Julani over the regional pecking order earlier this year, asserting that al-Nusra was part of his group, a claim swiftly rejected by al Julani. Western intelligence would like nothing more than dissent between these two groups. Close cooperation between them across the long Syrian-Iraqi border — the goal of al-Zawahiri — is the nightmare scenario...

9. Sirajuddin Haqqani

Shifting from the Middle East to the Afghan-Pakistan border regions, several groups are positioning themselves for the exit of U.S. combat forces from Afghanistan next year. Among the most dangerous is the Haqqani Network, responsible for some of the deadly attacks in Kabul in recent years. A 2008 coordinated suicide bomb attack on the Serena Hotel in Kabul left six dead. Another strike in June 2011 killed 12 at the InterContinental Hotel...

10. Abubakar Shekau

Shekau's inclusion recognizes the growing tide of Islamist militancy in West Africa. For the last four years, he has led Boko Haram, a Salafist group in northern Nigeria that has begun cooperating with other groups as far away as Mali...

11. Doku Umarov

Doku Umarov leads the Caucasus Emirate (CE), a Chechen group dedicated to bringing Islamic rule to much of southern Russia.

Kansas Sen. Roberts: Sebelius Should Resign

(Sen. Roberts is thinking to small... the guy in charge should be the one to go.  $634 million dollars for a website.  How unconscionable is that.... and no one is holding Obuma to account.  And that's just the website.  Imagine the much greater boondoggle that this presages and creepy Sebelius is wasting more tax payer dimes traveling state to state on her broom running into brick walls trying to sell this dead fish)

Via Daily Caller:
http://dailycaller.com/2013/10/11/gop-sen-pat-roberts-to-sebelius-resign-in-absence-of-full-obamacare-repeal/

Kansas Republican Sen. Pat Roberts called on Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, the face of Obamacare, to resign for "gross incompetence" on Friday.

"In the absence of a full repeal of Obamacare, which is my preference, we need new leadership from top to bottom. I am calling on the Secretary to resign," Roberts said in a statement.

Eleven days after the beginning of Obamacare's open enrollment phase, Roberts detailed Sebelius' failings, from the problems with the online exchanges to the promotional flops meant to encourage enrollment.

McRino Blames Cruz, Conservatives For Obuma's
Mishandling Of Death Benefits

(Sooooo... Republicans and some Democrats in the House vote to pay military which should include payment of death benefits.  The Pentagon(translate: Chuck Hagel, who's hiding in the basement) said it shouldn't be paid.  Obuma administration knew of this problem for some days before it broke, yet did nothing, zulch, zip, zero.  Republicans immediately passed another bill to try to solve the problem created by the Obuma administration.  Yet, somehow, it is the Republicans' fault?  Only in the twisted benighted mind of John McCain.  Time to hang it up, John and retire.  Get out of the stink in DC, go home to Cindy and enjoy those beautiful sunsets in Sedona)

Via Breitbart:
On Friday, Sen. John McCain (Rino-AZ) blamed conservatives like Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) for the Obama administration's initial failure to pay death benefits to the families of fallen American soldiers during the government shutdown.

In an appearance on Fox News with host Martha MacCallum, McCain said the White House has handled the situation horribly before trying to argue that Republicans were responsible for putting the White House in a position to mishandle the situation.

"I think it's been terribly handled by the White House," McCain said. "Let's have a little straight talk, Martha. They wouldn't have had the opportunity to handle it that way if we had not shut down the government on a fool's errand that we were not going to accomplish."

In reference to Cruz's defunding Obamacare strategy, McCain said the whole "premise of shutting down the government was the repeal of Obamacare," which McCain said would never happened. Cruz's strategy, it is worth noting, was to defund and not repeal Obamacare.

On Thursday, Obama finally signed the bill that would pay the families of America's fallen troops nearly $100,000 in benefits. The Pentagon had suspended the payments during the government shutdown, and White House Press Secretary Jay Carney had initially said signing the resolution to authorize the payments was not necessary; Fisher House, a charity that helps the families of wounded and fallen soldiers, had indicated they would help cover the funeral costs and payments.
