The Pride of the Yankers.... To paraphrase one of Barry's Marxist mentors, Jeremiah Wright, Obama's chickens are coming home to roooost! Speaker Boehner wants to know who's going to jail over the IRS scandal. We've heard many such opening salvos from the Speaker, then comes a round of golf or a getting to know you dinner, and then nothing happens. Unless Congress moves to abolish the IRS and replace our taxation system with an equitable way of financing legitimate government, nothing will change. These guys have been yanking our chains for way too long. If we weren't wearing chains they'd have to find something else to yank.

Leave It To Liberals... and Jerry Mathers as the Beaver. Left to the Left, idyllic Mayfield has become a sink hole of Progressive ideology in the Leave it to Beaver lost episode, Beaver's Fever. Beaver, suffering a high fever, dreams that he has been dressed up as a creepy girl and made to stand in front of his class in a bizarre version of Mayfield Elementary, where every subject is infused with Leftist indoctrination. By the end of the show, his fever breaks and all is back to normal. The episode was shelved, as the shows producers found it unbelievably far-fetched and feared the viewing public might just go ape.

Oinkle Sam
The American Medical Association has officially classified obesity as a disease. With this edict, the Obamacare facilitating AMA opens the door for publicly financed mandatory treatment programs, because prevention initiatives have failed. For the full weight of the U.S. Government to be effective in solving this new health crisis, old Uncle Sam will need to bulk up. So, who's the biggest loser in the administrations War on Liberty? We are.

When the Trayvon Martin tragedy first occurred, our post-racial president insinuated himself into the action by opining how his imaginary son would look like Trayvon. Barry's "free press" went wild trying to create a story of George Zimmerman as a white racist murderer. The Polarizer-In-Chief never misses an occasion to keep us separated into neat, easily manipulated little groups, dependent on ever expanding government programs. You see, Creepy-ass Socialists thrive on the dependence of their subjects, not their independence. I guess Barry's imaginary son might sound a lot like Trayvon too, since the ember never falls far from the crack pipe.

The Chris Matthews mystery has been solved. Researchers have discovered that Matthews suffers from advanced stage Cerebral Thrillosis. CT occurs when the brain reaches its maximum containment level of leftist ideas. Once saturation is complete the abnormality begins to boil over into other parts of the body, most often an extremity. A common initial symptom is described as a thrill up a leg associated with autocracy. In the final throes of this condition, the patient's tongue becomes incapable of forming credible statements. CT is highly contagious as evidenced by the behavior of all the employees of MSNBC.  The old adage is true, "The leftist mind is a terrible thing to express."

Professional egghead, Karl Rove, is seen here putting the stink in distinction without a difference. When will the GOP leadership stop trying to impress the left by emulating them? The choice they leave the Conservatarian is a trip to hell on a cruise ship or a Saturn V rocket. They banned waterboarding, when will they ban whiteboarding? Torture is torture.

If we trace backward along the red lines drawn by Dear Leader, a reason for his nonsensical behavior emerges.  Has Barry been huffing his red marker?  What else could be causing him to facilitate the worldwide ascendancy of fundamentalist Islam?  Oh yeah, there is his ideology.

MS. Megyn Rises, Mr. Maddow Sinks

(In the results that surprise no one.  Megyn Kelly triumphs in first night ratings over Rachel Maddow by over a million viewers.  O'Reilly, I would be worried... very worried, about that No.#1 spot  )

Via Variety.com:
Fox News Channel's "The Kelly File" handily beat rivals in total viewers, an auspicious start for the network's first new primetime program in more than a decade, as well as its host, Megyn Kelly.

According to early Nielsen totals, Fox News Channel's "The Kelly File" lured nearly 2.1 million viewers between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m,. Monday evening, compared with 997,466 for MSNBC's "Rachel Maddow Show" and 529,946 for CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight." The figures could change slightly.

MSNBC's "Maddow" secured more viewers among audiences between 25 and 54 years of age, the demographic most coveted by advertisers in news programming. "Maddow" attracted 298,543 in the demo,

according to Nielsen, compared with 289,264 for "Kelly" and 144,602 for "Piers Morgan." Ad buyers have said they have come to expect the largest viewership for cable news from Fox News Channel.

AP Poll Finds Obuma's Approval Rating Plummeting To Only
37%

(The AP is obviously trying to bury this, not mentioning his
approval rating until the 7th paragraph
)

WASHINGTON (AP) — http://bigstory.ap.org/article/poll-gop-gets-blame-shutdown
Americans are holding Republicans primarily responsible for the partial government
shutdown as public esteem sinks for all players in the impasse, President Barack Obama among them, according to a new poll. It's a struggle with no heroes.

[...]

Most Americans disapprove of the way Obama is handling his job, the poll suggests, with 53 percent unhappy with his performance and 37 percent approving of it. Congress is scraping rock bottom, with a ghastly approval rating of 5 percent.
Indeed, anyone making headlines in the dispute has earned poor marks for his or her trouble, whether it's Democrat Harry Reid, the Senate majority leader, or Republican John Boehner, the House speaker, both with a favorability rating of 18 percent.

And much of the country draws a blank on Republican Ted Cruz of Texas despite his 21-hour Senate speech before the shutdown. Only half in the poll were familiar enough with him to register an opinion. Among those who did, 32 percent viewed him unfavorably, 16 percent favorably.

Via Digital Journal:
http://www.digitaltrends.com/opinion/obamacare-healthcare-gov-website-cost/

It's been one full week since the flagship technology portion of the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) went live. And since that time, the befuddled beast that is Healthcare.gov has shutdown, crapped out, stalled, and mis-loaded so consistently that its track record for failure is challenged only by Congress.

The site itself, which apparently underwent major code renovations over the weekend, still rejects user logins, fails to load drop-down menus and other crucial components for users that successfully gain entrance, and otherwise prevents uninsured Americans in the 36 states it serves from purchasing healthcare at competitive rates – Healthcare.gov's primary purpose. The site is so busted that, as of a couple days ago, the number of people that successfully purchased healthcare through it was in the "single digits," according to the Washington Post.

The reason for this nationwide headache apparently stems from poorly written code, which buckled under the heavy influx of traffic that its engineers and administrators should have seen coming. But the fact that Healthcare.gov can't do the one job it was built to do isn't the most infuriating part of this debacle – it's that we, the taxpayers, seem to have forked up more than $634 million of the federal purse to build the digital equivalent of a rock.

The exact cost to build Healthcare.gov, according to U.S. government records, appears to have been $634,320,919, which we paid to a company you probably never heard of: CGI Federal.  The company originally won the contract back in 2011, but at that time, the cost was expected to run "up to" $93.7 million – still a chunk of change, but nothing near where it ended up.

Meet the Benjamins: America's new $100 bills

Despite the fact that the US government is currently shut down, the Federal Reserve, Department of the Treasury, and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing have all managed to coordinate and print off some snazzy new C-notes. The bills started making their way into circulation yesterday, and although they might not appear to be all that radically different from our old bills, these new Benji's have ton of sophisticated anti-counterfeiting technology going on under the hood.

To be fair, the 100 dollar notes we've been using for past seven years aren't exactly a cakewalk to counterfeit. They've got all kinds of watermarks and microprinting going on, but they've also been in circulation since 2006, and in that time advanced printing technologies have become far more accessible, so skilled forgers have had plenty of time to learn the ins and outs of making passable fakes. By total value, the US hundred dollar bill is the most counterfeited single denomination on the globe, so it's easy to see why the Fed opted for a redesign.

Here's a quick rundown of the technology that makes these new bills so tough to forge:

The Watermarks
The old hundo's had watermarks, and these new ones are no different. They feature a smaller, less-detailed version of Franklin's face that's only visible when held up to a light source. Watermarks like this are extremely difficult to replicate in a convincing fashion thanks to the composition of our currency. The linen/cotton combination makes watermarks appear slightly fuzzy, but in an all-cotton note they tend to look razor-sharp.

The Microprinting
Much like the 2006 notes, the latest 100 dollar bills utilize microprinting – except they've got a lot more of it. Look closely (you might want to snag a magnifying glass if you've got bad eyes) and you should be able to spot the"The United States of America" on Franklin's collar, "USA 100″ on the watermark, and "One Hundred USA" along the golden quill.

The Color-Changing Ink
take a closer look at the big ol' copper-colored "100″ that's emblazoned on the lower right corner of the new bill. If tilted, it'll appear to take on a greenish hue. This is one example of the color-changing ink that's used on the new notes. It contains microscopic flakes of metallic material that reflects different wavelengths of light. This same technique is used to print the golden quill on the back, teh tiny 100's and USA's speckled  on either side, and the golden bell hidden on the inkwell on the front.

The Ribbon
Whereas the previous 100 dollar note featured an internal security strip that was only visible if held up to a light source, the new note sports a big, blue strip sitting unhidden on the bill's face. Arguably the most advanced and difficult-to-replicate feature, this strip is woven into the bill through a process the Fed wont disclose, and somehow can't be seen from the rear side of the note. Visible within the strip are three-dimensional images of two icons.

Looks like your days of printing off stacks with your HP Photosmart 7760 are over. Find out more on why you'll never make it as a counterfeiter at www.newmoney.gov

House Votes 425-0 To Restore Death Benefits For Fallen Soldiers

(Barry vowed earlier today to veto any piecemeal bills such as this, whether or not he would risk the wrath of the entire country by vetoing this bill remains to be seen)

Via The Hill:
The House voted unanimously on Wednesday to restore the financial payments the Department of Defense makes to the families of fallen U.S. soldiers.

Members easily passed the bill after the Pentagon said it can no longer make the payments because of the government shutdown. The Honoring the Families of Fallen Soldiers Act, H.J.Res. 91, was approved in a 425-0 vote.

The bipartisan bill was quickly developed and rushed to the floor this week after the Pentagon said it could no longer make "death gratuity" payments to families after October 1 because of the government shutdown.

That announcement prompted immediate anger from members of both parties, although the parties split on the cause of the problem.

The House vote came on the same day that the Obama administration said it would try to fix the problem administratively. White House Spokesman Jay Carney said Obama was "very disturbed" that payments have been halted, and said a fix should be in place by today.

It's unclear whether that will be enough to stop the Senate from voting on the bill, given the anger on both sides in the last few days.

A Tale of Two Websites

Obama's fundraising websites flawlessly processed millions in questionable donations; his Obamacare sites, not so much

Of President Obama's many historic firsts, his 2008 and 2012 campaign fundraising websites achieved an unprecedented level of ignominy.

In the run-up to the elections, his websites are believed to have processed tens of millions in illegal campaign contributions, including:

• "Structured" contributions to evade donation limits

• Foreign contributions

• Stolen credit cards

• Untraceable prepaid cash cards

In addition, the 2008 Obama site explicitly supported the forgery of computer (IP) addresses for said donors.

But none of that was interesting to antique media.

[...]

While Obama's fundraising websites processed tens of millions of page-views a month and handled a monstrous number of electronic financial transfer (EFT) transactions, his Obamacare site didn't fare nearly so well.

Obamacare's well-publicized technical failures continue to this day, more than a week later, prompting regular Americans to ask the following questions:

1. Why was the Obamacare site outsourced to an overseas company? Why did Obama ship jobs overseas?

2. Why did it outsource the work to a company infamous for suffering major data breaches?

3. And why did it use a company that had virtually no experience in implementing exchanges?

Answer:http://strata-sphere.com/blog/index.php/archives/19944#.UlVLxeGjbP0.twitter
Those answers are left as exercises for the (*cough* campaign contributions *cough*) reader.

The federal government's red-faced CTO Todd Park says the exchange websites work fine as long as no one is using them. Yes, he really said that.

"These bugs were functions of volume,'' Park said. "Take away the volume and it works.''

Over at Reddit, technologists ripped the site's ridiculously poor design and architecture.

But don't worry, folks: between these geniuses and the IRS, what do you have to worry about?

Poll: Only 17% Think America Is Headed In The Right Direction,
Lowest Level In Nearly Two Years

(You think the low information voters have finally realized
they screwed America by electing this CLOWN to a second term?)

Via Rasmussen:
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/top_stories/right_direction_or_wrong_track

With no end in sight to the partial government shutdown, the number of voters who believe the country is heading in the right direction has fallen 11 points over the past week to its lowest level in nearly two years.

Just 17% of Likely U.S. Voters now say the country is heading in the right direction, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey for the week ending October 6. That's down from 28% the week before and the lowest finding since early December 2011.

Confidence in the country's direction rose steadily last fall, peaking at a high of 43% the week before Election Day. It fell steadily after that to the previous low for the year to date of 26% in mid- to late July.

After President Obama assumed office in January 2009, the number of voters who felt the country was heading in the right direction rose to 40% in early May of that year. In 2010 and 2011, confidence fell to the narrow range of 14% to 19%, levels similar to those measured in the final months of the George W. Bush administration. Optimism began easing up again in mid-December 2011.
