Visa Cuts Off Country's Top Gun Store... For Selling Guns!

(Because guns are eeeeeevil)

Via Washington Secrets:
http://washingtonexaminer.com/visa-subsidiary-cuts-off-nations-largest-gun-store-for-selling-guns/article/2536417

A subsidiary of Visa, a key Obama campaign donor, that specializes in credit card transactions has abruptly stopped servicing the nation's largest gun store after four years because the store sells guns, a fact the owners never hid.

Hyatt Gun Shop of Charlotte, N.C., told Secrets that the subsidiary, Authorize.net/CyberSource, simply sent an email to owner Larry Hyatt to announce that it was suddenly breaking off the business relationship. The reason: "The sale of firearms or any similar product."

The company email said that gun sales violated a section of the service agreement the two signed over four years ago and after Hyatt went into detail about its sales and products — and name.

"We've never seen anything like this," said Justin Anderson, Hyatt's marketing director. He said it took a week and thousands of dollars to line up a "gun friendly" credit card processor for online sales.

The brushoff of Hyatt's business has sparked a national boycott effort against Authorize.net and parent company CyberSource organized by the website Grass Roots North Carolina. "It looks like the small but noisy anti-gun crowd has gotten to what must be a jelly-spined PR department at CyberSource and Authorize.Net. Either that, or leadership at these companies have simply become anti-gun all on their own," said the website in announcing the boycott.

Anderson suspects that the company, purchased by Visa in 2010, got cold feet dealing with a leading gun seller and he said that he's heard of other gun stores being dropped. The company had no immediate comment.

Pew Poll:
Anger With Federal Government At All-Time High,
77% of Americans "Angry" And "Frustrated"

Via Pew Research:http://www.people-press.org/2013/09/30/anger-at-government-most-pronounced-among-conservative-republicans/#utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=public-anger-at-government-rises

With a possible government shutdown just hours away, public anger at the federal government is as high as at any point since the Pew Research Center began asking the question in 1997. Anger is most palpable among conservative Republicans – 41% say they are angry at the federal government, the highest among any partisan group.

he new national survey by the Pew Research Center, conducted Sept. 25-29 among 1,005 adults, finds that 26% overall say they are angry at the federal government, while 51% feel frustrated. Just 17% say they are basically content with the government.

The share of Americans who say they are angry at the federal government has risen seven points since January and now equals the high reached in August 2011, a few weeks after the widely criticized debt ceiling agreement between the president and Congress.

NBC Cancels Its Pant Suits Miniseries

"Take this... and that, Pantsuit.. you ugly old dragon!!!"

(Good Riddance)

NBC has scrapped its controversial Hillary Clinton miniseries project.

"After reviewing and prioritizing our slate of movie/miniseries development, we've decided that we will no longer continue developing the Hillary Clinton miniseries," the network said in a statement Monday.

The news comes hours after CNN Films opted to cancel its planned documentary on the former secretary of state and first lady after pressure from both Democrats and Republicans.

Liberal Massachusetts "Weeding Out" Foster Parents
With Traditional Christian Beliefs

http://www.wnd.com/2013/09/state-official-weed-out-conservatives-seeking-to-adopt/

A video has been uncovered of Massachusetts officials promising to weed out foster parents with conservative values who would only "tolerate" a youth's gender confusion and not endorse it.

The video was captured by Janet Aldrich of Catch of the Day Video News and featured by political activist Amy Contrada, who researches family issues through the non-profit Massachusetts-based group Mass Resistance organization.

In a new report, Contrada wrote: "It's now official policy in Massachusetts. Adults holding traditional values will no longer be allowed to adopt or be foster parents."

Contrada said the video is of a Boston Bar Association forum with the state Department of Children and Families and the state agency on homosexual youth.

"The DFC speakers confirmed that they are 'weeding out' adoptive and foster parents who are not willing to wholly accept and support LGBT (lesbian, "gay," bisexual, or transgender) self-identification by a child in their care," she wrote.

Michelle Gordon, a recruitment officer for the state child welfare office, is shown on the video speaking.

"We are sort of setting new expectations," Gordon said. "We're weeding out some of this passiveness and sort of destructive behaviors that are occurring. It is often so subtle.

"There is some weeding out of foster homes that are still going on," she said.

The session was led by Erika Rickard of the state Commission on LGBT Youth.

Rickard said there is an urgent need for "supportive" foster parents for "gender-confused" children, estimating 20 percent of youth in foster care in the state are "gay" or lesbian.

The goal, she said, is "safe, welcoming and affirming homes."

Eventually that will include all foster parents, officials said, since the state now requires them to take annual training on alternative sexual lifestyles.

Some foster parents say they're comfortable with a child expressing confused feelings but really aren't, the state officials said.

White House Uses Women's Rag Cosmo To Try And Sell Obamacare

(Also known as Obama and Reggie Love's favorite magazine)
Via LA Times:

The current Cosmopolitan magazine explains the Affordable Care Act with the "Top Eight Ways Young Women Benefit from Obamacare." Glamour lays out the "Five Things You Need to Know" about the marketplaces kicking into gear Tuesday.

The other night, late-night TV host Conan O'Brien put his own spin on the meme with "Ten Pre-existing Conditions to Drive Your Man Crazy."

At the White House, which is pushing the message hard with women's magazines, officials laughed. They figure they're in on the joke – as long as people are getting the Democratic message that the new healthcare law is easy to check out.

"Lots of women who will benefit may not read the New York Times or Politico but do read Cosmo," said one administration official working on the project, who requested anonymity to discuss strategy. "Much bigger reach; reaches women exactly where they are – and they're a key demographic."

[...]

Top administration officials have been talking to women's magazines, including Woman's Day, Cosmo Latina, Marie Claire and Ebony, several of which are running stories in their October print issues. The Planned Parenthood Federation of America has started the website Obamacare Works to take questions about how the program operates.

The Democratic National Committee Is Broke, Owes Creditors $18.5 Million

(The RNC on the other hand has $12.5 million in cash on hand)

Via CNN Money:
http://finance.fortune.cnn.com/2013/09/30/dnc-debt-crisis/?iid=SF_F_River

There's another budget crisis in Washington, and it's unfolding inside the Democratic party. The Democratic National Committee remains so deeply in the hole from spending in the last election that it is struggling to pay its own vendors.

It is a highly unusual state of affairs for a national party — especially one that can deploy the President as its fundraiser-in-chief – and it speaks to the quiet but serious organizational problems the party has yet to address since the last election, obscured in part by the much messier spectacle of GOP infighting.

The Democrats' numbers speak for themselves: Through August, 10 months after helping President Obama secure a second term, the DNC owed its various creditors a total of $18.1 million, compared to the $12.5 million cash cushion the Republican National Committee is holding.

Several executives at firms that contract to provide services to the party – speaking anonymously to avoid antagonizing what remains an important if troubled client — describe an organization playing for time as they raise alarms about past-due bills falling further behind. And senior strategists close to the DNC say they worry the organization appears to have no road map back to solvency. "They really thought they could get this money raised by the summer," one said, "but the fact is, from talking to people over there, they have no real plan for how to solve this."

Obuma Falls For Fake Iranian Fatwa Banning Nuclear Weapons

(The relevant part of Obuma's statement is from the beginning to 3:04, the specific statement being at 1:39 where he claims "the Supreme Leader" has issued a Fatwa against nuclear weapons.  Notice also how he specifically calls Iran, "the Islamic Republic of Iran" as well... that's new.)

Via Daily Caller:
http://dailycaller.com/2013/09/30/obama-falls-for-irans-fake-fatwa-against-nuclear-weapons-according-to-memri/

No documentary evidence backs up President Barack Obama's claim that Iran's theocratic rulers have issued a religious edict against the development of nuclear weapons, according to the Middle East Media Research Institute, which monitors and translates news reports from Arab and Persian outlets.

The claim is an eight-year old hoax promoted since 2005 by Iran's diplomats and by Turkey's Islamist prime minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, says MEMRI.

The Islamic "fatwa," or religiously-justified law, "was never issued by [Iran's] Supreme Leader [Ali] Khamenei and does not exist; neither the Iranian regime nor anybody else can present it," MEMRI reported on Sunday.

Obama is expected to face media questions on Monday when he holds a meeting about Iran's nuke programs with Israel's prime minister Bibi Netanyahu.

Obama claimed on Friday that the fatwa does exist, and could lead to a deal with Iran to end its development of nuclear weapons.

"I do believe that there is a basis for a resolution [because] Iran's Supreme Leader has issued a fatwa against the development of nuclear weapons," he told reporters from the White House' press podium

Obuma also made this claim in his speech before the UN:

Meanwhile, the Supreme Leader has issued a fatwa against the development of nuclear weapons, and President Rouhani has just recently reiterated that the Islamic Republic will never develop a nuclear weapon.

Another potential problematic element in the UN speech is this Obama comment,  "We are not seeking regime change and we respect the right of the Iranian people to access peaceful nuclear energy".  He seems to have accorded them a "right"  not bargained for and not seen before in policy, perhaps creating daylight between us and the Israeli position of "zero uranium enrichment".

Charles Krauthammer has sagely noted Rouhani as the new face of "moderation" is but a screen, that indeed we fell for this same type of spinning 30 years, from Rouhani at that time as well. The "new face" of moderation is the same "old face" of deception.

As we have previously noted, Rouhani has detailed at great length, the deception to keep the West talking, while the march goes forward for Iran's nuclear program.

Meanwhile, we note again the report that Iran is two months away from having enriched uranium to be able to make a nuclear weapon.

The clock is ticking.

WWII Vets Break Through Barrier To WWII Memorial Closed Over Shutdown –

Update: Police Refuse To Enforce Closure –

Update: GOP Rep. Steve King Distracted Park Police While Vets Knocked Fences Over –

Update: Obama Admin Knew About WWII Vets' Request And Rejected It

(Way to go guys... storm that beachhead)

National Park Service security personnel speak on their phones after World War II veterans broke through a barricade with police tape that prevented access to the World War II Memorial on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013.

Looks like the Greatest Generation has a spine, which is more than you can say about a lot of Americans and something we are in dire need of.  Due to the government shutdown that "Dirty" Harry Reid and "Usurper" Barack Hussein Obuma have brought down on America, the federal bureaucrats are claiming they have to shut down the National Mall and it is illegal to go there.  Illegal to walk up to a monument?  Gentlemen and women, you are full of collectivist crap.  You are still paying yourselves handsomely, but are punishing Americans because they won't just let you finish driving us off the cliff into oblivion while selling us into slavery.  Well, warriors know no age limit and our wonderful WWII Vets aren't having any of it:

A group of World War II veterans in an Honor Flight group Tuesday knocked over barriers imposed during the government shutdown at the WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C., to get inside.

As part of the federal government shutdown, national parks are closed. But the group of veterans continued to the monument Tuesday, as reported by Stars and Stripes reporter Leo Shane:

I love our Vets!  They are not going to let a few weak barriers and even weaker pencil pushers stop them.  More warriors joined from Iowa as well.  The park police are letting the Vets through because they know just how very bad it would look to do otherwise.  Listen to this federal weasel:

"We're looking about how to deal with this in the future," Park Police spokeswoman Carol Johnson said Tuesday.

I'll just bet they are.  Because don't ya know it would just look bad to shoot them.  They would if they could, mark my words.  This is the federal government attempting to 'punish' Americans:

The museums that draw millions of visitors to the National Mall closed their doors Tuesday, memorials were barricaded and trash will go uncollected in the nation's most-visited national park due to the first government shutdown in 17 years.

Visitors found locked doors, black metal barricades and yellow caution tape blocking entrances to popular tourist attractions just hours after the shutdown. Fountains at the World War II Memorial were shut off.

"Why the heck does this have to be closed?" said Deb Cavender, 44, of Ames, Iowa, as she and her husband were making their way toward the memorial.

Tourists took pictures of signs on the barricades that read "Because of the Federal Government SHUTDOWN, All National Parks Are CLOSED."

One by one, the memorials were closed, along with about 45 fountains maintained by the National Park Service, said spokeswoman Carol Johnson. Pumps will be stopped at the Lincoln Memorial's long reflecting pool, but it won't be immediately drained.

Perhaps most noticeable: Trash pickup has ceased on the National Mall and in downtown Washington parks maintained by the National Park Service. In total, 330 workers from the National Mall have been furloughed.

Good for Rep. Steve King (R-IA) who ran interference for the Vets.  Sir, you earn more of our respect every single day.  You think a few barricades will stop those who gave everything for your sorry asses, you political hacks?  Not a chance:

The shutdown of the federal government on Tuesday closed down memorials across the country, including many within Washington, DC. All of those on the National Mall were barred from the public when the shutdown became official. That wasn't about to stop a group of World War II veterans who had traveled from Mississippi to see the memorial erected in their honor. Undaunted by the barriers set up by Park Police, the veterans and those accompanying them stormed the memorial, drawing the attention of journalists and politicians alike.
According to Stars and Stripes reporter Leo Shane, who took many of the pictures at the scene, Rep. Steve King (R-IA) distracted U.S. Park Police while the barriers were being moved to allow the veterans access. Veterans from Iowa soon followed those from Mississippi, with no signs that the Park Police meant to evict any of them anytime soon. While a Parks official told Jacob Fischy of Buzzfeed that the park remains legally closed, they were "unsure if security tapes will be reviewed or anyone will be prosecuted for trespassing." Meanwhile, despite their members causing the shutdown, the National Republican Congressional Committee is now using the veterans' reclamation of their memorial to add email addresses to their mailing list.

Now this is a big deal.  Feel that?  It is the rumbling of the American spirit stirring to action.  The Tea Party, Constitutional Conservatives, the religious Right, Libertarians, Republicans, Conservative Democrats... virtually anyone who is not a Progressive.... we are joining hands and we are coming.  You are witnessing the birth of the Cruz Conservative Coalition.  DC is about to feel a political earthquake that will rock them to the core.  Lest you think the only ones resisting you are WWII Vets, think again.  They are not the only ones telling DC to stuff it.

From The Blaze:

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) told reporters at the scene she was going for a morning walk when she heard that World War II veterans were being stopped from entering their own memorial.

"I ran over as quick as I could ... and I couldn't believe my eyes," Bachmann said. "There were all these veterans standing here behind police tape and they are prevented from going in to see the memorial."

"About maybe eight to 12 of us members, one member had a scissor cut the tape and then we just escorted the veterans in," she continued. "You should have seen these veterans. They had smiles from ear to ear. They were thrilled."
