2 Million Bikers Invade D.C. and Remind Us That 9/11 Still Means Something to Real Americans

September 11, 2013 by Dean Garrison

I am not always the sharpest knife in the drawer. I heard about this "Million Muslim March" ...

...and did some research. I found out that it might be more like a "Dozen Muslim March" and I wrote an article about that. Why? Because I thought that a lot of bikers were going to D.C. only to be disappointed.   I was trying to help them out, but, as sometimes happens with me, I was failing to see the big picture.

A few days ago I was talking to a friend that is going and he told me that I was missing the point. This was not about 12 Muslims who will be looking for a place to hide. This is much bigger than that. This "2 Million Bikers" ride is more about sending a message to our government than to intimidate a few Muslims. I believe his exact words may have been, "Dean, this is the warning shot. There will not be another."

That's a pretty bold statement, don't you think?

When I first heard about these 2 Million Bikers, I couldn't really believe it was possible. I thought about the IRS Tea Party protests and the disappointing numbers. I thought it would turn out being 20,000 bikers and that would be a very good showing. I was very wrong. As of Tuesday afternoon there were reports of 800,000 bikers on the road and headed for D.C. Wow!

The above video didn't impress me that much at first, but then I thought about the scope of this thing. This is just one road at one point in time. There are 800,000 on the road, at a minimum, and they really could hit the 2 million number.

Today I wanted to write this huge article about what 9/11 meant to me and why it is sacred to Patriots. There is nothing I could write that would inspire anyone more than what is happening right before our very eyes.

Two million, and yes I now believe that number is possible, bikers are headed to D.C. to take a stand for their freedom, my freedom and yours.

This country has shed many tears since September 11th, 2001. We shed many more tears on September 11th, 2012 as four Americans died in Benghazi.

We don't know the truth of who the enemy is or was.

Now we are being told that it is in our interest to support Al Qaeda in Syria. Did 10,000 people die at the hands of Al Qaeda so that we could support them? Who could blame our service men and women for objecting to the idea of supporting the terrorists who killed their brothers and sisters?

Somehow the politicians are still failing to see this point.

We live in a land of confusion, scandals and political spins that none of us can keep up with.

We don't know if we have any friends at all in D.C. We send these officials to the Capitol to represent us, and they always seem to let us down.

It is not negotiable. We are no longer begging these people to do the right thing. We are sending a message today that this 9/11 is much different than the previous 11. Twelve years later we are awake.

So are these bikers going to D.C. to rattle a few Muslims? Nope. I get it now and I am kicking myself for not finding a way to go take part in this.

There is an unspoken theme behind this ride.

Twelve years later we have finally decided that enough is enough. We are taking our country back no matter what Obama or his partners in crime say.

It is not negotiable. We are no longer begging these people to do the right thing. We are sending a message today that this 9/11 is much different than the previous 11. Twelve years later we are awake.

September 11th, 2013 will be remembered as the day when millions of Americans made a statement. This is our country and we are taking it back no matter how far we have to go to do it. It is a new day of independence.

Much like July 4th 1776 when we declared that we were no longer slaves of Britain, today there is a new declaration being made. We will no longer be ruled by servants who act as our masters.

My friend was right. This is a warning shot and there will not be another.

I would like to thank each and every one of you who rides today in body or simply in spirit. There may be 2 million bikers in D.C. but even if it is just 20,000 it will not matter. For every biker there in body there are 100 there in spirit who are riding with them.

Thank you so much for giving us something to believe in on a day when we badly needed it.

God Bless America. We cannot rest and we cannot give up.

This is our time.

(Keep in mind that many of the bikes were carrying more than one person.  I think it's more than likely that the 2 million count was reached. If not, it was pretty damn close

Matthew Shepard Actually Killed By Gay Lover Over Meth

(Matthew Shepard has become a symbol of a killing from homophobia.  A new book shows his killing had nothing to do with his being gay, since he was killed by a gay lover. Yet some would still peddle the fiction as it serves their political purpose)

Via Breitbart:
http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/09/14/The-Matthew-Shepard-Story-is-a-Lie

Almost everything you think you know about the Matthew Shepard narrative is false.
Matthew Shepard was the winsome young homosexual in Laramie, Wyoming who in October 1998 was tortured, killed, and left hanging grotesquely from a fence. He was discovered almost a day later and later died in the hospital from his horrific wounds.

On the night of October 6, Shepard met "two strangers" in the Fireside Lounge in Laramie. The two men offered Shepard a ride home but instead drove him to a remote area, robbed him, beat him with pistols, and left him splayed on a fence.

Cops found the bloody gun along with Shepard's shoes and wallet in the truck of the two men — Aaron McKinney and Russell Henderson.

McKinney and Henderson claimed the "gay panic" defense, that they freaked out when Shepard came onto them sexually and killed him in a rage. They made other claims, too, but were convicted and sentenced to life in prison.

Shocker! Communist Groups Helped Organize Petraeus Protest

(Update to this story)

Via NRO:
http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/358477/communist-groups-helped-organize-petraeus-protest-sterling-beard

Protests against General David Petraeus Monday by CUNY students were organized by an ad hoc committee that includes several Communist groups.

A leaflet for the protests, which refers to Petraeus as a "war criminal" and "mass murderer," says that the events were organized by the Ad Hoc Committee Against the Militarization of CUNY and were endorsed by the Internationalist Group, Workers Power-US, and IGNITE.

These groups are explicitly Communist in nature. Workers Power states that it is a "revolutionary, communist organization . . . in the tradition of Marx, Engels, Lenin, and Trotsky." The Internationalist Group uses the hammer and sicklealongside its articles. IGNITE is a self-described "communist youth league."

Petition Underway Asking Obuma To Give His
Nobel Peace Prize To Vladimir Putin

(The "We The People" petition to the White House needs another 99,139 as of this moment, by October 11, and then Obama has to respond.  Should be fascinating to hear that response)

Admiral: US Naval Force Declining As Russia, China And Iran
Increase Their Capabilities

(Not good... not good)

Via WFB:

China, Russia, and Iran pose regional and strategic submarine threats and are building up undersea warfare capabilities as the Navy is cutting its submarine force by 30 percent, the admiral in charge of Pentagon submarine programs told Congress on Thursday.

Rear Adm. Richard Breckenridge, director of Navy undersea warfare programs, said the decline of U.S. submarines is placing a key U.S. military advantage at risk.

"Our adversaries are not standing still, and so even though we have an advantage and we have a lead, we can't sit on our lead," Breckenridge told a hearing of the House Armed Services seapower subcommittee.

"We have to continue to move or we do have the potential within 20 years of losing this crown jewel, this advantage that we have in the undersea domain," he said.

Breckenridge then outlined advances in the submarine warfare programs of China, Russia, and Iran.

Government Tells Christian Charity To Remove Pictures
Of Jesus, Stop Praying

(The Obuma regime's War on Christianity rolls on)

Via Fox News:
http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2013/09/09/usda-tells-christian-charity-to-kick-jesus-to-curb/#ixzz2epbIphN7

A Florida ministry that feeds the poor said a state agriculture department official told them they would not be allowed to receive USDA food unless they removed portraits of Christ, the Ten Commandments, a banner that read "Jesus is Lord" and stopping giving Bibles to the needy.

"They told us they could no longer allow us to have any religious information where the USDA food is going to be," said Kay Daly, executive director of the Christian Service Center.

So why did the government have an issue with the religious group's religious decorations?
A spokesperson for the Florida Department of Agriculture told me they were following the guidelines written by the USDA.

"This program is a USDA-funded program and the requirements were outlined by the USDA," spokesperson Amanda Bevis said. "This agency administers the program on the state level. Our staff did provide a briefing to CSC following turnover in leadership at CSC and did review the USDA requirements."

Daly said they were told it was a matter of separation of church and state.

Russian FM Lavrov To Lurch: "Don't Worry" About What I Just Said

(Hmmmm... So I take it the Russians think Lurch is a token representative and are only half heartedly including him in the proceedings?  They're treating Kerry like he's only there for show)

A revealing exchange between John Kerry, his Russian counterpart (Sergey Lavrov), and an interpreter:

FOREIGN MINISTER LAVROV: With your permission, just two words.

(Via interpreter) I'm not prepared with the (inaudible) political statement to (inaudible) the Syrian problem, because our approaches are clear and they are stated in the statements of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and in his article in The New York Times. And I'm convinced that all of you read this article and I decided not to lay out here our diplomatic position. The diplomacy likes silence. And we're intent to find compromises, and I am sure that John, in his presentation of the American position, also showed that they would like to find mutual consensus and be – if we follow this way, I hope that we will achieve all the successes.

SECRETARY KERRY: I lost the last part of the – can you give me the last part of the translation, please? Hello?

INTERPRETER: Yes, hello.

FOREIGN MINISTER LAVROV: It was okay, John. Don't worry. (Laughter.)

SECRETARY KERRY: You want me to take your word for it? (Laughter.) It's a little early for that.

FOREIGN MINISTER LAVROV: Okay. Thank you.

SECRETARY KERRY: Thanks.

Russian Communists Baffled by McCain Plan to Write for Pravda
Saturday, 14 Sep 2013 08:07 AM

MOSCOW — The Russian Communist Party on Saturday responded with bafflement to an announcement by U.S. Senator John McCain that he planned to write an op-ed piece for its official organ, Pravda, saying he had never contacted the newspaper.

McCain's spokesman Brian Rogers said Friday that the senator had accepted an offer from Pravda and would submit an opinion piece in response to President Vladimir Putin's comment published in The New York Times on Thursday.

But the Communists said they had heard nothing of the offer.

"There is only one Pravda in Russia, it is the organ of the Communist Party, and we have heard nothing about the intentions of the Republican senator," the editor of Pravda, Boris Komotsky wrote in a statement on the party's website.

Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov also told the website that "it is surprising that McCain did not bother to inform either the leadership of the party or the editors of Pravda."

The confusion appeared to have arisen because The Cable, the website of the U.S. magazine Foreign Policy contacted Pravda.ru, an electronic news website that is not connected to Pravda newspaper, with the suggestion.

No one at Pravda.ru was immediately available to comment.

The two publications could hardly be more different. One of Russia's first news websites, Pravda.ru currently has a photograph of American burlesque performer Dita Von Teese on its main page.

By contrast, the Pravda newspaper is handed out by activists at parades and its front page is still topped by Lenin's profile.

Pravda ("Truth" in Russian) was founded in 1912 by Bolshevik revolutionaries and served as the mouthpiece for the Kremlin until the 1991 break-up of the Soviet Union.

Zyuganov said however that McCain could write a piece for Pravda, but only if he followed the party's policy on Syria.

"Our answer to McCain is this: if you support the position of the Russian Communist Party on Syria, then we will publish your article."

This appeared unlikely since Zyuganov added that in the Communists' view, the United States is "trying to destroy our last ally in the Middle East, Syria. And one of the most rapacious hawks calling for direct aggression is Senator John McCain."
