Lurch Kerry: Russia Offering To Help With Syrian Chemical Weapons
Because They're Worried About Obuma

(In reality they took a Lurch Kerry gaffe and turned it
into a way to save their key ally)

Via Politico:

Secretary of State John Kerry told a closed meeting of House lawmakers that the Russian government is only seeking to help Syria because they believe the U.S. is serious about taking military action, according to multiple sources present.

The comment, which came in a classified briefing of the full House on Monday, mirrors public comments by other Obama administration officials: the threat of a military attack is working to bring the Russians to the negotiating table.

After enduring days of brutal skepticism from lawmakers of both parties, Kerry and other administration officials wasted no time in attempting to link Russia's proposal to the pressure coming from the White House. Democratic lawmakers agreed.

"This suggestion today by [the Russians] about bring the chemical weapons Assad has under control, I think it's a direct result of the president saying he's ready to do whatever is necessary to back up what he's already said," Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) said.

(Krauthammer said it best: "The Russians were playing chess here with a set of rank amateurs.")

BRET BAIER: Just to review, Charles, this started with Secretary of State Kerry answering a question in London in which right after he said it, the State Department said he was speaking rhetorically about a situation we thought had very low probability of happening and suddenly it may be U.S. policy.

CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: Because I think the Russians were playing chess here with a set of rank amateurs and understood that that gaffe gave them the opening they wanted. There are two issues here: chemicals and the retaining in power of Assad and of the Iran/Hezbollah/Assad/Russian axis dominating the region.

Because I think the Russians were playing chess here with a set of rank amateurs and understood that that gaffe gave them the opening they wanted. There are two issues here: chemicals and the retaining in power of Assad and of the Iran/Hezbollah/Assad/Russian axis dominating the region.

The Russians clearly, immediately saw that this enabled them to achieve their two objectives. Keep Assad in power. After all, if we're going to have negotiations, we have to essentially recognize Assad. It's not that Assad has to go, he's the guy that's going to have to provide the protection for any inspectors, locate the sites, he's going to have to be in there. He's going to be a negotiating element in this. He will remain in power and the Russians are going to have their air base, the naval base, everything that they have.

Obuma Admits The Obvious:
Assad Not A "Credible" Threat To America

(Whoa, Wait a minute... hasn't the Clown been arguing Assad represents a serious threat to America's national security?  He's probably 'happy as a clam' tonight knowing the Russians could get him off the hook with Syria... of course, he'll take credit for it)

Via NRO:
Assad has capability "relative to children," the president told CNN's Wolf Blitzer, but "he doesn't have a credible means to threaten the United States." Assad had previously said that if the U.S. attacks Syria, the U.S. should "expect anything" in retaliation, from the Syrian government and its allies.

Obuma Blames Iraq For His Failure To Convince
America We Need To Bomb Syria

(If there's one thing we know about Clown Prince...
nothing is ever his fault.  NOTHING!)

Via NRO:

With a majority of the American people opposed to his plans and an uphill climb in Congress, President Obama laid the blame for the lack of support for military intervention in Syria on the previous administration's Iraq campaign.

"I'm not sure that we're ever going to get a majority of the American people after over a decade of war, after what happened in Iraq, to say that any military action, particularly in the Middle East, makes sense in the absence of some direct threat or attack against us," the president told PBS's Gwen Ifill. "Tomorrow I'll speak to the American people — I'll explain this is not Iraq, this is not Afghanistan, this is not even Libya."

Poll: Only 1 In 10 Young Adults Plan To Buy Health Insurance Through Obumacare Exchanges

(Which is very bad news for Obuma because the only way the law works is if healthy young people buy insurance through the exchanges)

Via Red Alert:

While much of the public relations campaign for President Obama's Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act has centered around convincing Millennials to buy into the law's healthcare exchanges, just 11 percent of them now plan to do so according to a new poll by The Morning Consult.

The August National Healthcare Tracking Poll, which was released Wednesday, found that only 11 percent of  registered voters were "almost certain to purchase" insurance through the healthcare exchanges, while just 24 percent were "likely certain" to do so. Half of those who responded said they were "about 50-50″ when it came to buying into the healthcare exchanges, while 27 percent were unlikely to do so.

Overall, only 8 percent of registered voters were almost certain to buy into the exchanges and 14 percent were likely certain to do so.

While The Morning Consult study did find that 56 of registered voters aged 18-29 approve of the healthcare law, a majority of them do believe that their healthcare costs will increase when the law goes into effect in 2014.

Obuma: Mooch Doesn't Want Us Involved In Another War

(Hence the reason he's backing off his "red line" tough guy act)

Via Weekly Standard:

The NBC host asked, "Would you act without Congress? The answer could be yes, no, or I haven't decided."

"I think it's fair to say that I haven't decided. I am taking this vote in Congress and what the American people are saying very seriously. Because if you ask somebody, you know, I read polls like everybody else. And if you ask somebody, if you ask Michelle do we want to be involved in another war, the answer is no."

Illinois Charges 13 Democrats Including Jeremiah Wright's Daughter, Niece of Dem Rep. Danny Davis With Embezzling $13 Million From Taxpayer-Funded Grants

(From the city that brought us Barack Hussein Obuma)

Via Chicago Sun-Times:
The U.S. attorney's office in Springfield has been busy the past few years investigating a variety of fraud schemes involving state grants. Thirteen people have been charged so far, six who have pleaded guilty.

Two of them have ties to President Barack Obama. One is the daughter of his controversial former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Another was chief of staff to Obama's longtime friend Eric E. Whitaker when Whitaker was Illinois' public health chief.

In all, prosecutors are alleging a total of $16 million in fraud involving state health or commerce department grants and contracts.

Here's a brief look at each of the criminal cases that have been filed, which prosecutors built with help from the Chicago offices of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the Internal Revenue Service, as well as from the Illinois Secretary of

State's Office's inspector general:

Defendants: Former County Club Hills police Chief Regina R. Evans and her husband, Ronald W. Evans Jr., former inspector general for the south suburb

Filed: April 4, 2012

Charges: Conspiracy, wire fraud and money laundering

Details: The Evanses admitted spending about half of a $1.25 million commerce department grant on gifts for family members and friends and to pay off personal debt, including a mortgage on the New Regal Theater on Chicago's South Side. State Sen. Donne Trotter (D-Chicago) helped the couple's not-for-profit organization, We Are Our Brother's Keeper, get that state grant, which was to be used for a job-training program that was part of theater restoration efforts. Trotter has not been charged.

Status: Regina Evans to be sentenced Oct. 15; Ronald Evans Dec. 2.

Defendant: Quinshaunta R. Golden, former Illinois Department of Public Health chief of staff

Filed: Aug. 7, 2013

Charges: Bribery/theft, mail fraud and obstruction of justice

Details: Golden, a niece of U.S. Rep. Danny K. Davis (D-Ill.), is accused of pocketing about $433,000 in kickbacks on health department contracts and grants that she oversaw. Her boss at the time, Obama's friend Whitaker, has said he is cooperating with the investigation and "had no firsthand knowledge of the activities outlined in [Golden's] indictment."

Status: Trial set for Oct.

Sick Story of the Day

8 Year Old Yemeni Child Bride Raped to Death
on Wedding Night by 40 Year Old Bridegroom

Posted Monday, September 9, 2013, 1:54 PM
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2415871/Yemeni-child-bride-8-dies-internal-injuries-night-forced-marriage-groom-40.html

An 8-year-old Yemeni girl has become the latest victim of the Religion of Pieces.  Harwan, the little girl, lived in the tribal area of Hardh in northwestern Yemen, near the Saudi border.  Her family married Harwan to a bridegroom approximately five times as old as she was.  He insisted on his marital rights on their wedding night.  These marital rights included tearing Harwan's genitals so that she bled to death.

The toxic combination of tribal culture and Islam means that child brides are common in Yemen.  According to a 2010 Yemeni government report, more than 25% of Yemeni brides are 15 and under.  The results are sadly inevitable:

Tribal custom also plays a role, including the belief that a young bride can be shaped into an obedient wife, bear more children and be kept away from temptation.

In September 2010, a 12-year-old Yemeni child-bride died after struggling for three days in labour to give birth, a local human rights organisation said.

One wonders if the activists who are properly trying to end this barbaric custom have tried to argue that, "Well, yes, Mohamed did take a 9-year-old bride but he was able to do that only because he was special.  You're not that special, so no pre-adolescent or barely adolescent bride for you."

The Daily Mail, which reported on this story, has a grim sidebar detailing the number of child brides world-wide and, worse, the acceleration in the trend of marrying girls off when they are still children:

Despite numerous campaigns from many of the world's largest charities and NGOs, the issue of child brides remains a global concern.

There are currently some 57.5 million child brides across the world, 40 per cent of which married in India.

Forty-six per cent of women in India were married before the age of 18, according to the National Family Health Survey-3.

Meanwhile, in Africa, 42 per cent of girls were married before turning 18 compared to 29 per cent in Latin America and the Caribbean.

But the number of child brides is estimated to rise to 140 million by 2020 if current trends continue, 18.5 million of which will be under 15 years old, analysts warn.

Statistics show that girls living in poor households are almost twice as likely to marry before 18 than girls in higher income households.

And girls younger than 15 are also five times more likely to die in childbirth than women in their 20s.

  Warph,
Here's a good one for the forum:

Congress  Women Duckworth,  was  BRILLIANT AND BRINGS TO MIND THE FACT THAT SHE IS A REAL WAR HERO. As  a Capt. and Pilot  her helicopter was  shot down over Iraq. She lost both  of her legs and use of her  arm.

In this  video she is addressing a man named Castillo. Mr. Castillo is  an example of what is known as "Pin-Stripe Patronage", which is not  confined to Chicago. In this  system we create Welfare for the Rich by providing special contracts  and government work for those who are connected and contributors to  whomever is in power.

Mr. Castillo's business  received $500 Million dollars in Federal Business because he claimed  he was a disabled veteran.
MR. CASTILLO's INJURY  CONSISTS OF HURTING HIS FOOT WHILE PLAYING FOOTBALL AT AN ELITE  COLLEGE PREP SCHOOL! HE NEVER SERVED A DAY IN THE SERVICE OF HIS  COUNTRY, BUT HE CLAIMED PLAYING FOOTBALL AT COLLEGE PREP ROTC WAS AN  INJURY AS IN COMBAT! THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE AND INFURIATING BEYOND  BELIEF. WATCH WHAT DUCKWORTH SAYS TO THIS PIECE OF SHIT, WHO HAS MADE  MILLIONS FROM HIS "DISABLED VETERAN STATUS", WHILE REAL DISABLED  VETERANS LIVE UNDER VIADUCTS AND IN ALLEYS BECAUSE OF WHAT THEY SAW OR  DID IN THE DEFENSE OF THIS UNGRATEFUL NATION.
