Narcissist-In-Chief Refers To The
U.S. Military As "My Military"

(He is one arrogant SOB)

(This apparently is the first time since 1812, that the British haven't backed our military play.  Nice going, Barry!)

Via NYDN:
President Obama's attempts to form a coalition of nations willing to attack Syria appear to be splintering.

The biggest blow was dealt by the normally reliable Brits, whose Parliament stunned Obama on Thursday by voting down Prime Minister David Cameron's proposal to join the attack on Bashar Assad's government.

With Germany already saying no, the President was left with France, whose president, Francois Hollande, said its troops "have been put in a position to respond."

Feel Good Story Of The Day

Obuma's Approval Rating Plummets To Its Lowest Point Ever,
And Syria Is To Blame

This was a long time coming, no?  Business Insider has the details:

President Barack Obama's approval rating has matched its lowest ever recorded in a new NBC News poll.

And huge drops in his foreign policy approval combined with poor marks for handling the situation in Syria are to blame.

Obama's overall approval rating stands at 44%. The only other time it has been that low in the NBC survey came at the end of 2011, after a bruising debt ceiling fight with Congress that ended in a downgrade of the nation's credit rating.

This time, the drop is largely due to foreign policy concerns. Only 41% approve of the way Obama is handling foreign policy, the lowest ever. Consider that just last December, 52% approved of the way he was handling foreign policy.
Meanwhile, Obamacare is a "train wreck" for many different reasons. The teen employment rate is nearing historic lows. Top secret classified information has been leaked. And of course, Syria is on fire and the president doesn't seem to have a clue what he's doing. A tough week, indeed.

Obumacare Forcing Employers To Cut The Employee Work Week

Via WFB:
http://freebeacon.com/obamacare-cuts-workweeks-to-record-low/

Employers of low wage workers are cutting work weeks as Obamacare implementation comes closer, according to Investors Business Daily.

Workweeks have shrunk over the last 18 months for 30 million workers in industries where non supervisors make about $14.50 an hour or less. Analysts say that employers are cutting hours for low wage workers to avoid penalties required by Obamacare. According to Business Daily:

As a whole, low-wage industry groups added just shy of 1 million jobs in the 18 months through June, but total hours worked grew one-third slower than payrolls over that span. In effect, the shorter workweek in low-wage industries boosted payrolls by 320,000.

For a profit-making firm facing a 40% federal and state tax rate, the $3,000 annual, nondeductible fine employers may face for each worker who accesses ObamaCare subsidies is equal to $5,000 in deductible wages.

Thus, for a worker earning $15,000 in compensation, ObamaCare could raise an employer's cost by one-third.

Another Nigger Teen Having A "Hard Day" Arrested For
Stabbing 22 Year Old White Man To Death

Via WFTS:
http://www.abcactionnews.com/dpp/news/region_north_pinellas/clearwater/clearwater-police-announce-arrest-in-jason-pauls-murder

CLEARWATER, Fla. -
Clearwater Police announced the arrest of 16-year-old Mychal King on Thursday. He is accused in the January murder of Jason Taylor Paul, the city's first homicide of 2013.

Police said King admitted to killing Paul for no reason other than he had a hard day with his family that night of January 6, and "just wanted to kill the first person he saw."

Police say 22-year-old Jason Taylor Paul was stabbed multiple times while riding his bike home from work late.

Jason's parents, John and Renee Langfritz had been distraught since the news of Paul's death, and desperate for closure, even offering a $10,000 reward for information.

Renee described her son as an intelligent, loving, funny man. She said his sudden loss has left a hole in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

"This coward, truly a coward, who would leave a young innocent man to die alone in the dark in the middle of the street, must be caught," she said at the time.

King will be charged with 1st Degree Murder. Detectives say he has a long criminal history and was already in jail on other charges.

White House Visitor Logs Not public, Judge Rules

Via WFB:
http://freebeacon.com/white-house-visitor-logs-not-public-judge-rules/

White House visitor logs are not subject to disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), a federal judge ruled Friday, blocking the public from reviewing the records.

U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia ruled in a unanimous decision in Judicial Watch v. U.S. Secret Service that visitor logs for the office of the president are not agency records and therefore not subject to FOIA requests.

Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog group, originally sued the Secret Service in 2009 after the agency refused to turn over seven months of visitor logs from the White House.

Judge Merrick Garland Thursday that making the logs public record could "substantially affect the president's ability to meet confidentially with foreign leaders, agency officials, or members of the public. And that could render FOIA a potentially serious congressional intrusion into the conduct of the president's daily operations."

Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton said Friday's ruling keeps the public in the dark and the government unaccountable.

(This is pretty bad; it's always been generally assumed that these were public.  It is easy to understand that some visitors might be classified.  The answer is simply to black out their names.  This ruling means that they can hide whoever is visiting and thereby, what is actually happening.

It is our house they are visiting, yet we are not allowed to know who goes in it, and we are not even allowed to visit it. Unreal... thanks alot, you SOB))

Over 50% of Food Stamp Recipients Live in the Suburbs

Meet the new geography of poverty

by Matthew O'Brien
Aug 30 2013

The housing bust didn't just sink the world economy. It sunk the suburbs too.

Now, you probably think of white picket fences, big backyards, and perhaps a whiff of existential despair when you think about the suburbs. But you should think of economic despair instead. As Elizabeth Kneebone of the Brookings Institution points out, suburbanites made up almost 50 percent of food stamp recipients back in 2007 -- and 55 percent in 2011.

This is actually worse than it sounds. Their share of food stamps use only went up 5 percentage points, but suburban households' total food stamp use doubled between 2007 and 2011. By comparison, total food stamp use went up by 69 percent for city households.

The Great Recession accelerated the rise of a new geography of poverty. Homes that were supposed to be lead to the American Dream lead to financial ruin instead. And, unfortunately, this isn't going away anytime soon -- not if the recovery continues to only be one for the top 1 percent.

Hows' that for suburban despair.

When Barack Obama entered the White House, 60.6 percent of working age Americans had a job. Today, only 58.7 percent of working age Americans have a job.

Since Obama has been president, seven out of every eight jobs that have been "created" in the U.S. economy have been part-time jobs.

The number of full-time workers in the United States is still nearly 6 million below the old record that was set back in 2007.

When the Obama era began, the average duration of unemployment in this country
was 19.8 weeks. Today, it is 36.6 weeks.

During the first four years of Obama, the number of Americans "not in the labor
force" soared by an astounding 8,332,000. That far exceeds any previous four year total.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the middle class is taking home a
smaller share of the overall income pie than has ever been recorded before.

When Obama entered the White House, the mortgage delinquency rate was 7.85
percent. Today, it is 9.72 percent.

Median household income in America has fallen for four consecutive years. Overall, it has declined by over $4000 during that time span.

The poverty rate has shot up to 16.1 percent. That is actually higher than when the War on Poverty began in 1965.

When Barack Obama entered the White House, there were about 32 million Americans
on food stamps. Today, there are more than 47 million Americans on food stamps.

At this point, more than a million public school students in the United States are homeless. This is the first time that has ever happened in our history. That number has risen by 57 percent since the 2006-2007 school year.

The total amount of money that the federal government gives directly to the
American people has grown by 32 percent since Barack Obama became president.

When Barack Obama was first elected, the U.S. debt to GDP ratio was under 70 percent. Today, it is up to 101 percent.

During Obama's first term, the federal government accumulated more new debt than
it did under the first 42 U.S presidents combined.

(Much of the damage to the economy is due to supply side economics, which has been wrecking our economy and incentives since being put into place by Reagan.

Those stats above, which are mostly true, are nothing but generalities from statistics that do nothing to suggest resolution.  There is a pathway to resolution.  Here's the only statistic that is relevant.  Since initiation of supply side economic strategy nearly half of america is too poor to pay taxes while six people have more wealth than 42% of america.  And this process is accelerating at a very fast rate.

Obviously before all the wealth winds up in the same place, the economy will break down and violent social upheaval will ensue.  Hell, the way things are going, it's inevitable.  Before then something will have to be done to end the upward distribution of other people's money by supply side economics.  I'd guess the breaking point will be sometime in the next seven or eight years.  We have that long to abandon Friedmanism before it self destructs... yike

As terrorists from the "Free Syrian Army" (FSA) were guiding the cannon to fire artillery shells on a Syrian Army location, that terrorist unit got a direct hit that destroyed the artillery and whoever was on it. The field leader of that brigade was also injured as a result of the strike.

CIA Airstrike Takes Out Al Qaeda In The Arabian Peninsula Commander,
Two Of His Fighters

(Whoops... no more jihad for him
)

Via LWJ:
The US killed a local commander for al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula and two other fighters in the first reported drone strike in Yemen in 20 days. Kaid al Dhahab, the AQAP commander, served as the group's emir in the central province of Baydah.

The CIA-operated, remotely piloted Predators or the more deadly Reapers killed Kaid and the two other fighters as they were traveling in a vehicle in the village of Manasseh in Baydah, tribal sources and officials told AFP. Mohammed Albasha, Yemen's official spokesan in Washington, confirmed Kaid's death in statement on Twitter.

"AQAP's commander in Baydah, kaid al Dhahab, the Emir of AAS [Ansar al Sharia, AQAP's political front in Yemen] in Rada'a was killed in an airstrike. He evaded capture\death before," Albasha said.

AQAP has not released an official statement confirming Kaid's death. The identity of the other two fighters killed in the strike have not been disclosed.
