Police in Washington state are searching for two young suspects who beat a World War II veteran to death in a parking lot Wednesday night.

(KXLY) — WWII veteran Delbert Belton survived being wounded in action during the Battle of Okinawa only to be beaten and left for dead by two teens at the Eagles Lodge in Spokane on Wednesday evening.

Belton, 89, died from the injuries he suffered in the beating Thursday morning at Sacred Heart Medical Center.

Witnesses say the Belton was in the parking lot of the Eagles Lodge at 6410 N. Lidgerwood, adjacent to the Eagles Ice-A-Rena, around 8 p.m. Wednesday when the two male suspects attacked him.

Belton died from his injuries Thursday at Sacred Heart Medical Center.

"Shorty," as he was known by his friends at the Eagles Lodge, served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific during WWII and was shot in the leg during the Battle of Okinawa. He went on to work at Kaiser Aluminum at the company's Trentwood plant for more than 30 years.

He loved playing pool, even though he claimed he was no good at it and had been a member of the Eagles Lodge for the last four months. In addition to playing pool he loved working on cars.

Belton's wife passed away several years ago.

Spokane police are looking for two male suspects in the attack. They said the suspects are African Americans between 16 and 19 years old.

One suspect was described as heavy set and wearing all black clothing. The other was described as being about 6 feet tall and 150 pounds. There was no description of what clothing the second suspect was wearing other than a silk do-rag.

The "Senility Talking Points of the Day" by Charlie Rangel

Dem Rep. Charlie Rangel: "There Is No Reason Why a Young Person Should Have To Pay For College"

(This type of stupidity is so prevalent among liberals it's mind blowing)

Via Newsbusters:

JOY-ANN REID, SUBSTITUTE HOST: I first want to get your reaction to the President's education proposal today.

CONGRESSMAN CHARLIE RANGEL, (D-N.Y.): I think it's exciting, and certainly it's going to bring in accountability. You know, we have universities scattered all over the world. Sometimes you think that tuition means nothing to a large group of people who pay these enormous salaries to college presidents. But if you're talking about production, if you're talking about what is the college really giving someone that doesn't want a worldwide education, they just want to be able to compete, this makes sense.

But you know something, Joy? There is no reason why a young person should have to pay for college education, because who does it benefit except a nation? Who are we competing against? Not ourselves, but China and other industrialized countries, they decide what they need, and they provide the incentives. Here we don't have nurses and doctors, and then when a person gets out of health school, I mean out of medical school, they can't get the money to pay off their debt. It doesn't make sense.

President Obuma's Education Proposal:

The average cost of tuition and room and board at a four-year private university in the U.S. has risen to $39,518 annually.  Here is a breakdown of where that money for a government-controled college should go:

•$250: Omnipresent collegiate scent
•$40: Ream of diploma paper
•$2,543: Laundry facilities capable of handling constant, round-the-clock loads of pajama pants
•$25: Credit check
•$5,000: Morgan Spurlock appearance fee
•$0.15: Student mental health services
•$4.40: You think all those comedy hypnotists are stopping by out of the kindness of their hearts?
•$250: Quills
•$8,000: Standard wasted money fee
•$29,000: Big tall clock that goes "ding"

Israeli fighter jets bombed targets south of Beirut early Friday morning in what the IDF spokesperson said was retaliation for rocket attacks against northern Israel the day before.

According to the Israeli military, the pilots reported a pinpoint strike on their targets in the coastal town of al-Naameh. The IDF reiterated that it holds the Lebanese government responsible for Thursday's rocket fire into northern Israel.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or the precise nature of the targets struck.

Residents of Beirut took to Twitter reporting the sound of explosions and what they believed were Israeli aircraft overhead the neighborhood of al-Naameh, approximately 15 kilometers south of the Lebanese capital. According to several users, the target was believed to be the headquarters of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine – General Command (PFLP-GC).

Korean War Vet Bans "The Butler" From His Movie Theater
Over 'Hanoi Jane' Fonda's Role In The Film

('Ace shot' Ike, my man.  Jane Fonda is not only a disgrace, it's disgraceful that the people behind The Butler cast her as Nancy Reagan and lied to smear the Reagans in the film.  It would be worth asking them if they have no shame, but since these liberal Clowns from Hollywood are involved, we already know the answer to that question...)

Via Washington Times:
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/aug/22/korean-war-vet-bans-butler-his-movie-theater/

A Korean War veteran, who has owned the MoviePalace in Elizabethtown, Ky., for more than three decades is refusing to run "The Butler" due to the anti-Vietnam War stance of one of its lead actresses, the Blaze reported.

Ike Boutwell said he has never let a movie with Jane Fonda play in his theater.

The film — a biopic of a White House butler who served eight presidents — stars Fonda as Nancy Reagan.

"I trained hundreds of pilots to fly, many of whom Ms. Fonda clapped and cheered as they were shot down," the former Marine said of the pilots he trained to fly, the local News-Enterprise reported.

"To add to this, I just really think it's a slap in the face to have a person of treason portray a patriotic lady, Mrs. Reagan," Mr. Boutwell said. "I just think that is throwing gas on the fire."

"In life, you've got to stand for something, and that's where I stand," he added. "It makes me feel that I'm honoring those who died for this country."

MSNBC's Ratings Still In Free Fall,
Slide 22% Over Summer As
CNN Continues To Surge

Via Variety:
http://variety.com/2013/tv/news/msnbc-continues-ratings-slide-as-cnn-surges-over-summer-1200585373/

Strong interest in the George Zimmerman trial and improved performances for shows including "Anderson Cooper 360," CNN is enjoying a ratings surge this summer — and has virtually caught up with or surpassed MSNBC in key categories.

Fox News remains the leader, as it has for years, though it and MSNBC were down vs. last summer.

In preliminary Nielsen data for the summer through Sunday, Fox News was averaging 1.85 million viewers in primetime (down 5% from comparable dates a year ago), followed among the news networks by MSNBC (540,000, down 22%), CNN (533,000, up 21%) and HLN (422,000, up 29%).

Among all cable networks in primetime this summer, Fox News ranks seventh in total viewers (USA and TNT top the list). MSNBC is 33rd, CNN is 34th and HLN is running 39th.

In the adults 25-54 news demo, it's a closer four-network news race, with FNC on top (272,000), followed by MSNBC (186,000), CNN (178,000) and HLN (159,000).

CNN has seen primetime gains in all hours, with "Anderson Cooper 360″ up the most (+27% in total viewers and +36% in adults 25-54).

The White House will hold a roundtable event on issues facing the bisexual community next month, according to a report in the Washington Blade.

The closed-door meeting is likely the first of its kind in the Obama administration, the paper reported. According to the event's invitation, it will take place Sept. 23 in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building across the street from the West Wing.

The meeting will be closed to the press and is described as "off the record" in the invite.

Obama's DOD Publishes Military Primers Identifying Conservatives As Extremists And Haters
Friday, August 23, 2013, 7:26 PM

Obuma's new terrorist

Beware, all patriotic Americans who hold the Constitution sacred.  Obama's Department of Defense has labeled you an extremist and a hater; and with the help of the Southern Poverty Law Center they're teaching military personnel how to identify you.  The DOD warns that sheet-wearing KKK behavior has been replaced with "talk of individual liberties, states' rights, and how to make the world a better place".  The document, also, equates today's Conservatives with Colonists fighting British oppression.  No surprise, they categorize the 9/11 attack as a "historical event".

Dictator In The Making

Judicial Watch reports:

http://www.judicialwatch.org/press-room/press-releases/judicial-watch-defense-department-teaching-documents-suggest-mainstream-conservative-views-extremist/

Judicial Watch announced today that it has obtained educational materials from the Department of Defense (DOD) depicting conservative organizations as "hate groups" and advising students to be aware that "many extremists will talk of individual liberties, states' rights, and how to make the world a better place." The documents repeatedly cite the leftwing Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) as a resource for identifying "hate groups."

Judicial Watch obtained the documents in a response to a Freedom of Information Act request (FOIA) filed on April 8, 2013. The FOIA requested "Any and all records concerning, regarding, or related to the preparation and presentation of training materials on hate groups or hate crimes distributed or used by the Air Force." Included in the 133 pages of lesson plans and PowerPoint slides provided by the Air Force is a January 2013 Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute "student guide" entitled "Extremism."  The document says that it is "for training purposes only" and "do not use on the job."

Highlights include:

•The document defines extremists as "a person who advocates the use of force or violence; advocates supremacist causes based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, or national origin; or otherwise engages to illegally deprive individuals or groups of their civil rights."

•A statement that "Nowadays, instead of dressing in sheets or publically espousing hate messages, many extremists will talk of individual liberties, states' rights, and how to make the world a better place."

•"[W]hile not all extremist groups are hate groups, all hate groups are extremist groups."

•Under a section labeled "Extremist Ideologies" the document states, "In U.S. history, there are many examples of extremist ideologies and movements.  The colonists who sought to free themselves from British rule and the Confederate states who sought to secede from the Northern states are just two examples."

•In this same section, the document lists the 9/11 attack under a category of "Historical events."

•"[A]ctive participation...with regard to extremist organizations is incompatible with military service and, is therefore prohibited." [Emphasis in original]

•The document details the "seven stages of hate" and sixteen "extremists' traits."

•The SPLC is listed as a resource for information on hate groups and referenced several times throughout the guide.

•Of the five organizations besides the SPLC listed as resources, one is an SPLC project (Teaching Tolerance) and one considers any politically or socially conservative movement to be a potential hate group (Political Research Associates).

•Other than a mention of 9/11 and the Sudan, there is no discussion of Islamic extremism.

In April 2013, following a terrorist shooting at the Family Research Council (FRC) headquarters that occurred in August 2012, Judicial Watch filed multiple FOIA requests to determine what, if any, influence SPLC's branding of hate groups had on government agencies. On its website, the SPLC has depicted FRC as a "hate group," along with other such mainstream conservative organizations as the American Family Association, Concerned Women for America, and Coral Ridge Ministries. At the time of the shooting, FRC president Tony Perkins accused the SPLC of sparking the shooting, saying the shooter "was given a license to shoot ... by organizations like the Southern Poverty Law Center."

Though the document released today by Judicial Watch was obtained from the Air Force, it originated in a DOD office and is, therefore. thought likely to be used in other agency components.

"The Obama administration has a nasty habit of equating basic conservative values with terrorism.  And now, in a document full of claptrap, its Defense Department suggests that the Founding Fathers, and many conservative Americans, would not be welcome in today's military," said Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton.  "And it is striking that some the language in this new document echoes the IRS targeting language of conservative and Tea Party investigations.  After reviewing this document, one can't help but worry for the future and morale of our nation's armed forces."

Obama wants to redefine "terrorist" and purge the U.S. military of all conservative, patriotic Americans.  Yeah, good luck with that.

The 25 Stupidest Liberal Quotes Of The Last Decade

21) I do believe that it's the first time in history that fire has ever melted steel. I do believe that it defies physics that World Trade Center tower 7 — building 7, which collapsed in on itself — it is impossible for a building to fall the way it fell without explosives being involved. World Trade Center 7. World Trade

20) Isn't it a little racist to call it Black Friday? -- Joy Behar

19) A good place to start a more civil dialog would be for my Republican colleagues in the House to change the name of the bill they have introduced to repeal health care reform. The bill, titled the "Repeal the Job Killing Health Care Law Act," was set to come up for a vote this week, but in the wake of Gabby's shooting, it has been postponed at least until next week. Don't get me wrong — I'm not suggesting that the name of that one piece of legislation somehow led to the horror of this weekend — but is it really necessary to put the word "killing" in the title of a major piece of legislation? -- Chellie Pingree, Congresswoman (D-ME)

18) The Republican Party is saying that the President of the United States has bosses, that the union bosses this President around, the unions boss him around. Does that sound to you like they are trying to consciously or subconsciously deliver the racist message that, of course, of course a black man can't be the real boss? -- Lawrence O'Donnell

17) Herman Cain is probably well-liked by some of the Republicans because it hides the racist elements of the Republican Party, conservative movement and tea party movement. People like Karl Rove like to keep the racism very covert and so Herman Cain provides this great opportunity so he can say, 'Look: This is not a racist anti-immigrant, anti-female, anti-gay movement. Look: We have a black man.' And look he's polling well and he won a straw poll. -- Janeane Garofalo

16) If we want to keep our reproductive rights, we must be willing to tell our stories, to be willing and able to say, "I love my life, but I wish my mother had aborted me." -- Lynn Beisner, the Guardian

10) Every month that we do not have an economic recovery package 500 million Americans lose their jobs. -- Nancy Pelosi

9) Watching both the health care and climate/energy debates in Congress, it is hard not to draw the following conclusion: There is only one thing worse than one-party autocracy, and that is one-party democracy, which is what we have in America today. One-party autocracy certainly has its drawbacks. But when it is led by a reasonably enlightened group of people, as China is today, it can also have great advantages. -- Thomas Friedman

8 ) I root for hurricanes. When, courtesy of the Weather Channel, I see one forming in the ocean off the coast of Africa, I find myself longing for it to become big and strong–Mother Nature's fist of fury, Gaia's stern rebuke. Considering the havoc mankind has wreaked upon nature with deforesting, stripmining, and the destruction of animal habitat, it only seems fair that nature get some of its own back and teach us that there are forces greater than our own. — James Wolcott, Vanity Fair

Apparently he tried to contact al-Qaida. Is that the point at which you say, "This guy is dangerous?" That's not a crime to call up al-Qaida, is it? Is it? I mean, where do you stop the guy? -- Chris Matthews

4) The medical term for Down Syndrome is Trisomy-21 or Trisomy-g. It is often shortened in medical slang to Tri-g. Is it not perfectly possible that the very name given to this poor child, being reared by Bristol, is another form of mockery of his condition, along with the "retarded baby" tag? And does the way in which this poor child was hauled around the country on a book tour, being dragged out in front of flash photographs in the middle of the night, barely clothed, suggest someone who actually cares for children with special needs, or rather sees them as a way to keep the spotlight on her? -- Andrew Sullivan

3) I propose a limitation be put on how many sqares [sic] of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting. Now, I don't want to rob any law-abiding American of his or her God-given rights, but I think we are an industrious enough people that we can make it work with only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where 2 to 3 could be required. -- Sheryl Crow at the Huffington Post
