Having sold my farm, and decided to quit farming, I will sell at Public Auction, at my farm 7 miles east of Howard, 5 miles north and one mile east of Elk Falls, and 8 miles northwest of Longton, the following property, beginning at 10 a.m.,

  9 Head of Horses and Mules - 1 brown mare 5 yrs. old, wt. 1400; 1 bay mare 4 yrs. old, wt. 1400; 1 bay mare 7 yrs. old, wt. 1300; 1 dun mare 10 yrs. old, wt. 1000.  These are good brood mares all in foal to jack.  1 team mules 3 yrs. old, well broke, one 15 and one 16 hands.  Three coming yearling mules, extra good ones.

  16 Head of Cattle - 13 extra fine dairy cows, 10 giving mild, 3 with young calves, all will be fresh soon.  Only one cow over 5 yrs. old.  2 yearling heifers, 1 Durham bull.

  10 dozen young hens.  2 shoats, wt. about 100 lbs.

  Implements - 3 wagons, 1 nearly new; 1 wagon with rack; 1 spring wagon; 3 stirring plows, 2 walking, 1 riding; 5 cultivators, 3 walking, 2 riding; 1 disc; 1 hay rake; 1 mowing machine; 1 corn planter; 1 corn drill; 1 stalk cutter; 2 lilsters, 1 riding, 1 walking; 1 corn sled; 1 grind stone; 1 feed grinder, 1 corn sheller; 1 kaffir corn header; 1 harrow; 3 sets work harness; 1 saddle and bridle; 1 set single harness, nearly new.  One Economy Chief Separator good as new; 1 Wisconsin Incubator good as new; and other articles too numerous to mention.

  A lot of feed will be sold if not sold before day of sale.

Lunch on Grounds.

TERMS:- All sums of $10 and under cash.  On sums over $10 a credit of 10 months will be given on bankable notes at 8 percent interest from date.  2 per cent discount for cash on sums over $10.  No property to be removed until terms are complied with.  Notes not paid when due to draw 10 percent from date.

James Tarwater called at this office and expressed himself as wonderfully well pelased with his public sale and the work of Col. A. M. Boone, the auctioneer.  Mr. Tarwater told us the price received for his cattle and the same is here published:  Bull, $46; two cows $38 each; one cow, $52; one $44.50; one cow $60; one $34; one $64.75; one $57; one $39.75; one $33.50; one $37; two yearling heifers $44.
