Does anyone know where the household hint is about Dawn Dish soap being put on your steps so that they will not ice up again?????

I've never heard of using Dawn Dish soap for that.  Don likes to wash his hands with it after he's been working on the vehicles, as it takes the grease and grime off really well.

Here is the Dawn Dish Soap tip...

Mix Dawn dish soap with warm water and pour on your icy steps.  They will not re-freeze.  I haven't tried it but I took some Dawn dish soap to Mother and we are going to try it next time.

Here's another one:

The Cooking Inn says that For icy door steps in freezing temperatures, get warm water and put Dawn dish washing liquid in it. Pour it all over the steps. They won't refreeze.
