Couple Celebrates 50th Wedding Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Turner of Longton celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Dec. 2.

Leroy and Joan Turner were married on Dec. 2, 1956 at the United Methodist Church in Longton.

A family dinner at Golden Corral was followed by a reception in their home was hosted by the couple's five children, Leo Turner and wife, BJ, of Independence, Ronald Turner and wife, Rhonda, of Miami, Oklahoma, Tammy WIlliams and husband, Willy, of Wichita, Robert Turner and wife, Jeanetta, of Neodesha, and Toney Turner of Independence.

The couple have 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
