Ex-Probate Judge C. M. Richardson was very happily surprised last Sunday eve when on going to supper at Mrs. Henry Coile's, he was confronted by the Court House bunch and a few other friends.  The judge is considered brave but on this occasion he wanted to turn and run.

It being a crowd of men, and all having had previous evidence that Mrs. Coile was a good cook, all waited anxiously for supper to be announced.  The feast was thoroughly enjoyed and proved conclusively Mrs. Coile's ability to prepare good things to eat.

The judge being so frightened, was somewhat indisposed and could not eat his allowance, Claude Ruthruff was selected to help him, which he did with honor to the judge, pleasure to himself and the astonishment of all others present.

C. M. Richardson has been in Howard four years and has made a friend of everyone.  All are sorry to see him leave.  Those present were:  W. S. Barackman, E. L. Barbour, C. F. Osborn, J. H. Liggett, Ed Adams, C. D. Ruthruff, J. A. McHenry, l. B. Fleak, D. S. Lewis, C. M. Richardson and Lewis Kyser.
