Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said President Barack Obama's birth certificate is not authentic.

Arpaio revealed the findings of a investigation into the president's birth certificate at a 1 hour and 20 minute news conference Thursday, calling the certificate "suspect."

Arpaio's team of investigators said they found that the long-form birth certificate was created electronically and never existed in paper form.

The president's Selective Service card was also questioned.

Arpaio's investigators claimed the document has "failed every test we put it through."

At Thursday's news conference, investigators said they will request a criminal investigation. They also said they have identified a person of interest in the forgery of the birth certificate.

Arpaio said he is not accusing the president of the crime. He said they will investigate who is behind the "possible forgery and fraud."

"I haven't decided where to go with this yet," Arpaio said. "I just wanted to get the facts of this situation. We haven't accused anyone of anything."

The controversy over the certificate has been widely debunked, but it remains alive in the eyes of some conservatives, namely members of the Tea Party who urged Arpaio to look into the matter.

For the past six months, Arpaio's "Cold Case Posse" has been investigating the authenticity of those documents to see if there's been any fraud or forgery involved.

"We conducted a very professional investigation; we have come up with I feel some probable cause, some evidence," Arpaio said Wednesday.

Arpaio said the investigation was done at no cost to taxpayers.

"Just let me say the results may be interesting without using the word 'shocked,'" Arpaio said prior to the conference. "I think it will reveal some information no one else has really developed in a professional law enforcement manner."

The Cold Case Posse comprises volunteers who are former police officers and lawyers.

Arpaio is facing problems of his own, including a federal grand jury probe over alleged abuse of power and Justice Department accusations of racial profiling.

1991 bio claims Obama born in Kenya, raised in Indonesia

It's depressing watching Team Obama flailing around for a good distraction from his appalling record in office, while Mitt Romney climbs steadily in the polls. The intrepid researchers at Breitbart.com are here to help! They dug up this little artifact:

That's from a promotional booklet published in 1991 by Acton & Dystel, which was Obama's literary agency at the time. Also listed in the booklet, but not identified as hailing from Kenya, were former Speaker of the House Tip O'Neill, Ralph Nader, and the New Kids On the Block.

It's 2012 now, and a lot has happened. The New Kids on the Block broke up, Donald Trump finally persuaded Barack Obama to cough up his birth certificate, and the American workforce has grown much smaller. We may still gaze two decades into the past and wonder how on earth the future President's literary agent got the idea he was born in Kenya.

The Breitbart editors offer a very detailed look at the provenance of the bio, and stress that their discovery is evidence "not of the President's foreign origin, but that Barack Obama's public persona has perhaps been presented differently at different times."

They didn't really have to qualify that statement with "perhaps," since they have hard evidence to settle the matter. The only real question is whether the author of the bio somehow got the idea Obama was born in Kenya on his own, relied upon secondhand information... or got it from Obama himself, at a time when he found it useful to present himself as a "man of the world" instead of a native-born American.

This isn't really a surprising development, since we've recently discovered the Obama narrative is filled with "composite" characters, including "The New York Girlfriend," "Julia," and "Barack Obama." Also, we know how much Obama loves to edit biographies!

At any rate, combined with Joe Biden's increasingly erratic behavior – his staffers are actually pulling reporters away from him, lest he say something else colossally damaging to the Administration – it's clearly time for the President to refurbish his ticket. Luckily, another person noted for her creativity with biographical information is very much in the news these days.

Update: This story just keeps getting weirder... an update from Breitbart.com shows that Obama let that "born in Kenya" biography go unchallenged for SIXTEEN YEARS. The agency finally changed it in 2007, two months after he declared his presidential campaingn, to read "he was born in Hawaii to an American anthropologist and a Kenyan finance minister." His father, incidentally, was not a "Kenyan finance minister," but rather an economist working for the ministry.

Goderich's statement fails to explain WHY the "fact checking error" persisted for sixteen years, through at least three different versions of Jane Dystel's website, and through at least four different versions of Obama's biography.

It persisted, in fact, more than two years after Obama became a United States Senator, and until after Obama had declared his campaign for the presidency in 2007.

Breitbart News attempted to contact Goderich and senior partner Jane Dystel several times over several days prior to publishing our original story. They chose not to respond.

The real mystery is not where Obama was born--which has long been settled--but why Goddard failed to ask her agent a single relevant follow-up question about how the 'fact checking error' occurred in the first place.

The Selective Service Administration has just jenied Joe Arpaio's "Cold Case Posse" access to Obama's Draft Registration Card Microfilm Records.  They are claiming that only Federal Investigators can have access to these Records, and the Feds Are refusing to Investigate.  The Watergate Cover Up PALES in comparison to this.  The level of corruption that currently exists is unpresedented in American History.

PALM BEACH, Fla. – A new poll shows Barack Obama trailing likely GOP nominee Mitt Romney in North Carolina – home of the upcoming Democratic Convention – by eight percentage points, and that has some Republicans seeing hope for ousting the incumbent, but also fearful of a late-year Obama surprise.

Among them is conservative giant Rush Limbaugh, who warned, "I wouldn't rule out something happening wherever the Democrat Convention is. I don't know what it would be."

"Obama sometime this summer, October, could decide to forgive all student loans to get the youth vote. He can do that, he could propose it. It doesn't have to happen. He can say he wants it just like he said he hopes one day that same-sex people can get married. ...

"He can say he wants to forgive people's mortgages and may come up with a program that pays everybody's mortgage that's under water. ...
"They could replace Biden on the ticket with somebody. They could invade Iran. They could tell the Israelis to stand aside. There's any number of things in the incumbent playbook that you can do at the last moment."

But Limbaugh opined that any proposal like that "would not have broad-based appeal because it would be such a reach. It'd be so obvious what it is. That doesn't say he couldn't try."

Limbaugh also said today's Rasmussen poll is very good news for Republicans: "I'm telling you that Obama is in deep trouble. The Democrat Party is in deep trouble here."

"This is not at all where they thought they would be," he added. "The problems that they have are not at all the problems they thought they were going to have. They really believed that they could re-create this whole Messianic-type mindset that people had for Obama from 2008. They really thought they could simply tie Romney to Bush and send people running back to Obama in droves."

The radio host took issue with a prevailing notion among some media that Obama and his fellow Democrats are brilliant political strategists.

"They are not the smartest people in the world. Liberals, Democrats, strategists are not the smartest people in the world," he said.

Besides the poll results in North Carolina, Limbaugh noted Democrats are pulling political ads in Missouri and yanking their money out of Wisconsin in the recall effort of Republican Gov. Scott Walker.

"That is an indication that they think the die is cast," Limbaugh said, while at the same time stressing, "I don't want to run the risk here of creating any overconfidence."

Last year, Barack Obama released to the world a Birth Certificate that said he was born in Hawaii. Sheriff Joe Arpaio now says there is probable cause to believe that Birth Certificate is a forgery.
In 1991, Barack Obama's literary agent wrote that the future president was "born in Kenya."

Someone lied - either Barack Obama or his former literary agent. If Obama lied about the authenticity of the Birth Certificate he produced last April, he's committed a felony, a point not lost on the Western Center for Journalism's Floyd Brown.
Though Brown commends Breitbart for their find, he's not happy with what he says amounts to an attempt to undercut their own story.

"So we are supposed to believe that Barack Obama went around telling people he was born in Kenya years ago, but he was lying then? And after the mountain of proof that Sheriff Joe Arpaio has assembled that the Hawaiian Birth Certificate is a forgery?"
Strangely, evidence points to another Obama lie if he was born in Hawaii. According to Jay Acton, who headed the agency that represented Obama, agents dealt with the non-athletes featured in the booklet on a "daily basis." As one of those non-athletes, it would have been unlikely for Obama not to have been asked to approve the text that said he was "born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii."

One thing is for certain. When it comes to where Obama was born, the current occupant of the Oval Office has lied about it at one time or another.
Period.

Of course the pro-Obama spinmeisters are going near warp speed in attempts to explain away this bombshell. But if it was indeed an error, why Obama was listed as being born in Kenya on the Dyster & Goderich website until April 2007, "just two months after then-Senator Obama declared his campaign for the presidency.?"[/font][/size]

Believe it or not, Breitbart has dug up evidence that like his pal, Elizabeth Warren, Barack Obama has claimed Cherokee heritage and has done so, as she has, with no proof whatsoever of the truth of that claim:

[Ms. Warren's claims are current and well known, but President Obama's claims were made back in 1995, when his memoir, Dreams from My Father, was published. On pages 12 and 13 of the 2004 paperback edition, the President unequivocally asserts his Cherokee ancestry:

If asked, Toot [Obama's maternal grandmother, Madelyne Payne Dunham] would turn her head in profile to show off her beaked nose, which, along with a pair of jet-black eyes, was offered as proof of Cherokee blood.

But an old, sepia toned photograph on the bookshelf spoke most eloquently of their [grandparents Stanley and Madelyne Dunham's] roots.  It showed Toot's grandparents, of Scottish and English stock, standing in front of a ramshackle homestead, unsmiling and dressed in coarse wool, their eyes squinting at the sun baked flinty life that stretched before them...in their eyes one could see truths that I would have to learn later as facts...that while one of my great-great grandfathers, Christopher Columbus Clark, had been a decorated Union soldier, his wife's mother was rumored to have been a second cousin of Jefferson Davis...that although another distant ancestor had indeed been a full-blooded Cherokee, such lineage was a source of shame to Toot's mother [Leona McCurry Payne] who blanched whenever someone mentioned the subject and hoped to carry the secret to her grave.

Unlike Ms. Warren, no one has ever alleged that President Obama may have secured employment due to his claim of Native American ancestry. Like Ms. Warren, however, the President puts forth his claim with emphatic certitude, although until now no one has sought to ask him to provide evidence to prove it.
