This grass roots effort would breathe life into the next part of the strategy. Americans need the States to grow a backbone, and by guiding the Republican Party at the State and local level, Paul supporters would be able to sway the legislative agenda in statehouses across America. Imagine if seventy-five percent of the States were controlled by people interested in decentralization, and at the very minimum several Constitutional amendments that would forever destroy the leviathan in Washington D.C. Don't think it could happen? Just look at the sweeping changes brought forth by the progressives with the 16th-19th Amendments to the Constitution. If three quarters of the States proposed and ratified a slate of amendments designed to reduce Washington to the general government it was designed to be, Congress and the President could do no more about it than part the seas and make it rain (Al Gore to the contrary). The States are the key, and our focus needs to be there.

A little patience, a little perseverance, and a lot of hard work are all liberty minded individuals
need to strike the heart of Washington and kill the monster.

Its a nice thought but its never gonna happen. Most americans have become to dependent on the big government that we have now.
It is high time we eased the drought suffered by the Tree of Liberty. Let us not stand and suffer the bonds of tyranny, nor ignorance, laziness, cowardice. It is better that we die in our cause then to say that we took counsel among these.

All one has to do is to look at how people vote to see where their principles lay.  They keep voting for the same types of politicans over and over, and they keep yielding to the same big government infringments.

Here's my two cents on this.

What we got here is.... a failure to communicate with the Republican Party!

What we got here is... an upcoming election in November pitting a monumental failure currently serving as President against an empty suit that no one really knows.

What we got here is.... the Republican Party could not field one one credible candidate for office.  Every candidate, without exception, is a miserable failure.

In this primary season we had a tail chasing ex-food & Pizza  executive, a serial adulterer who also served as Speaker of the House, a series of right-wing flakes and.... "a former racist publisher and conspiracy theorist masquerading as a obstetrician and Congressman." (picked that up from Bill Mahar).  No wonder Mitt Romney gets the GOP nomination.  He saved the Olympics....so he's the dog with the least fleas.  If the Republicans could have found a real candidate for office... and that's a big "if" considering the party makeup... hell, the Presidency could have been theirs for the asking come Nov.

Barack Hussein Obuma deserves a hugh whipping at the polls.  As a candidate, he talked a good game.  As a President he is a super colossal failure.  Not since Jimmy Carter has the democratic party produced a president so UNFIT for the job.  But... like Dubya in 2004, Obuma may win re-election because no real alternative exists.  That's scary to think about... four more years with Hitler... ugh!  Both Obuma and Romney's political directions change with the poll's of the day.  Both really are Etch-a-Sketch candidates with a blank slate who have changed their positions more often than Newt Gingrich has swapped wives... not to mention the many, many lies Obuma has given us in three years.  What else can you expect from a political system that produces Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Herman Cain, Rick Santorum, Ron Paul and Joe the Plumber.  Instead of the "best of the best," (where-ever and who-ever they are) we have to settle for the "least worst of the worst."  We have a slate of unqualified candidates who depend on an uninformed, gullible electorate to win an election.

Little wonder the country is screwed!  In a democracy it is said, voters get the government they deserve.  And we got it with Obuma.  Sad, but true.  Reminds me of a Winne Churchill quote: He described the American military as "the unqualified leading the untrained into the unknown for the ungrateful."  That fits Obuma to a "T"... but In today's political environment of both parties, we can change that to... "the unqualified leading the uninvolved into the unknown for the uninformed."  Shit!  I guess what it come down to, vote ABO (anybody but Obuma) in November.
