Fox--Foster Wedding

Myrtle Fox of Elk Falls and Arthur Foster, formerly of Emporia, were married at noon Sunday, July 14th, in the home of the Rev. J. C. Brogan, 1006 West St.  Mr. Brogan read the double ring service before member of the couple's families and close friends.

For her wedding the bride chose a whiite ballerina length dress with a net overskirt and a matching net stole.  She wore a rhinestone necklace and matching earrings, a gift of the bridegroom, and carried a white Bible topped with miniature red dosebuds and stephanotis.   She was attended by Mrs. John Foster, who wore a light blue shantung dress with white accessories, and a corsage of white and pink carnations. Homer Foster served his brother as best man.

A dinner in the dining room of Hampton's Diner followed the ceremony, and a reception was held that afternoon in the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Foster, 219 South Pine St.  Guests at the dinner were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Foster, Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Gibson, Eddie Fox and Gary Ransbottom, Elk Falls; Homer Foster, Mr. and Mrs. John Foster and children, and Mrs. Anna Mae Cook and children, Emporia. At the reception, Miss Bertha Dailey had charge of the guest book, Mrs. John Dailey and Mrs. Anna Mae Cook, served.

After a wedding trip to Chicago, Illinois, the couple will live in Elk Falls, where Mrs. Foster operates a grocery store and Mr. Foster is employed by the Russell Ralph Construction Company. --Emporia Gazette, July 10.
