Anouncement is made today of the marriage of Miss Mattie L. Morehead of Norton and J. Audrey Watson of Howard, Kansas.  The ceremony was performed at 2:30 o'clock by Rev. A. L. Carlton, pastor of the Methodist church, in the presence only of Mrs. H. I. Morehead, mother of the bride; Mrs. Lester Beeler and Evelyn Morehead, sisters of the bride.

Mrs. Watson is a daughter of Dr. and Mrs. H. L. Morehead of Norton and is a graduate of the Norton Community High School and of the Kansas State Agricultural College at Manhattan.  Mr. Watson also is a graduate of the college of Manhattan, where the friendship which culminated in the wedding was started.  Mr. Watson is attending the summer session of the college and is vocational agricultural instructor in the high school at Howard, where the young people will reside.

Mr. and Mrs. Watson have gone to points in Colorado in this Denver region for a brief honeymoon after which they will go to Manhattan to remain until the bridegroom completes his work later in the summer.---Norton Telegram, July 3rd.

Mr. Watson has been the head of the vocational agriculture department in Howard H. S. the past year and will be with us again the coming year.  He is popular and highly efficient and this entire community joins in welcoming him and his young wife to Howard and in wishing them a long, happy, and useful life.
