Janet K. (Harrison) Landon, 69, of Wichita, Kansas, was born November 13, 1942 in Moline, Kansas to Dorace D. "Shorty" Harrison and Anita (Winn) Harrison.  She passed away Thursday, April 19, 2012 from ovarian cancer.  

She is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Gary D. Landon; daughter, Tambra J. (Steve) Johnson of Wichita, Kansas; son, Scott M. Landon of Frisco, Texas; grandchildren, Parker, Conner, and Jillian Johnson, all of Wichita, Kansas; sisters, Genny (Terry) Forcum and Myrna (Fred) Clayton, both of Wichita, Kansas and Betty R. Conner of Renton, Washington; and her mother-in-law, Ada J. Yeary of Wichita, Kansas.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Dorace D. "Shorty" and Anita (Winn) Harrison, and two brothers, George L. Harrison and Jimmy Ken Harrison.

The family is immensely grateful to Dr. Ted Delmore and his staff at Associates in Women's Health for the superb care they provided her over the past four years.  During that time, many blessings were received from family and friends.  

Services will be held Monday, April 23, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Wichita.  Viewing will be available from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, 2012 and 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 23, 2012, all at Downing & Lahey Mortuary East, 6555 E. Central, Wichita, Kansas.

Memorials have been established with Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 1958 N. Webb Road, Wichita, Kansas 67206; First United Methodist Church Television Ministry, 330 N. Broadway Street, Wichita, Kansas 67202; and Victory in the Valley, 3755 E. Douglas, Wichita, Kansas 67218.  Tributes may be sent via www.dlwichita.com.

So sorry to hear of Janet's passing.  Many fond memories of Janet and her brothers and sisters along with her parents while they were in Moline.

My sympathy to her family.  Hold close the memories.  Rest in peace Janet.
