Daniel Foreman was born in Rolla county, Missouri, in the year 1832, and died at his home Tuesday, June 13, 1911, at 8:10 a. m., six miles west of Howard near Highland school house, where he lived twelve years.  The early part of his life was spent in Rolla and Shelby counties, Mo.  He was married to Martha E. Blackburn, April 14, 1889.  There was born to this union two children, one dying in infancy.  The widow, one daughter and three brothers besides other relatives survive to mourn his death.

He came to Kansas in 1883.  He was converted and united with the Christian church in Shelby county, Missouri at the age of 37 years, and when he came to Kansas he transferred his membership to the Bethany church and has been a faithful member until his death.

He was an old soldier and was buried Thursday at Clear Creek cemetery by the G. A. R. Post of Howard, he being a member of that order.  Elder S. N. Fear officiated.
