What Love Means

 Love All-Consuming

Love streaming, love beaming,
Love awakening my heart,
Love all-consuming,
Ever sweet from the start,

Love filling my soul,
Love embracing and surrounding,
Love perfect and pure,
Love forever abounding,



Love in all I see,
Love in all I say and do,
Love from my sweet Jesus,
Love treasured and true -

O love, sweet love,
From my Lord and my King,
Love, limitless love,
Of which I now sing,



Jesus, sweet Jesus,
Love You share, Love You are;
Love streams from Your heart
To those near and far.

You shine in my life,
Your love brightens every day;

Give thanks
to the God of heaven,
for his steadfast love
endures forever.

Sweet comfort I find
When to Your heart I draw near;
Worries diminish,
You wipe away every tear.

Should the rain fall,
Should the heavy clouds loom,
Should the thunder roar,
Should the rose lose her bloom,



Should the vibrant colors
Turn darker than the night,
Should the deepest fog
Hide the radiant sunlight,

I need only to look up,
For You are there with me;
You will never forsake,
You are here eternally.



So I shall not worry at all,
No, I shall never fear;
Why should my heart tremble
When my Jesus is here?

I shall rejoice and sing
When the rain beings to pour,
For I am with You, Jesus,
You I love and adore.



Your light melts away
The heavy clouds that loom;

WARMTH OF WINTER

Stillness of the morning,
Clouds cover in gray,
The cold of winter
Embraces now the day.

Freezing it may be
Upon the winds outside;
Yet warm I am,
For within You I abide.

Jesus, sweet Jesus,
Hold me here in Your heart;
My Lord, my Friend,
Grant that we never part.

My soul You do warm,
My spirit You renew;
All things You make lovely
In light perfect and true.

Should the winds rage,
Should ice cover the ground,
Should the fall of snowflakes
Be the only sound,

Pull me close to You,
Remind me You are here,
Warm me with Your embrace,
Erase every fear.

LOOK TO JESUS

Look to Jesus never despairing
Though dark shadows come our way
For us He is tenderly caring
Waiting to bless and brighten our day.

Sometime temptation's hidden snares
Try to break our spirit with earthly cares
Often discouraged we wonder why the test
Look to Jesus, He knows best.

Dwelling above, Jesus is now preparing
A reward for the faithful and true
Never forget the burdens you are bearing
Look to Jesus, He is waiting for you.

One day our trials on earth will cease
And we will live in everlasting peace
No longer will we have to roam
Look to Jesus, and He will lead us home.

THE LOVELY VALLEY

As I stood on the beautiful mountain so high
I looked down at the lovely valley below
In my heart I knew it was there I must go
For God to teach me how to grow.



On this mountain top I ask God to forgive me
And walk with me into the lovely valley below
I know it is the place God wants me to be
There in the lovely valley my faith will grow.



Dear God, the mountain tops are peaceful
But there is only one place for me to go
To learn more of your teachings
It is in the lovely valley below.



Help me to teach others, o Lord I pray
How to find peace and love today
There is only one place for them I know
It is the lovely valley they must go.
