Mary "Maxine" McDow, 85, homemaker and caregiver, passed away December 15, 2011.  

Survivors are her sons, Victor (Jane) McDow of Paola, Kansas, Howard W. McDow of Yates Center, Kansas, and Harlan T. (Joanna) McDow of Independence, Kansas; her daughters, Vickie Crupper of Howard, Kansas and Sandra (Maurice Forkner) McDow of Coffeyville, Kansas; her brother, Richard (Vickey) Collins of Belle Plaine, Kansas; her sister, Emma Jean (Lawrence) Allen of Ft. Scott, Kansas; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, H.V. "Mac" McDow; her parents, Theodore and Minnie Collins; and her brother, Walter "Buck" Collins.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas.  Memorials are suggested to Howard Twilight Manor Nursing Home, 839 E. To all of Maxine's family, I am sorry to learn of your mother's passing.  We have a lot of good memories.  I can still see her sitting at the piano playing a "ragtime" piece, and helping with the programs at school.
Our sympathy to all of you.
