AUGUSTA - Craig, Wilbur, 90, a retired farmer, formerly of Severy, Kansas, passed away December 10, 2011 at the Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado, Kansas.   He is survived by his wife, Henryetta Craig of Severy, Kansas; sons, Kenneth (Dee) Craig of Washburn, Missouri., Merle (Pat) Craig of Severy, Kansas, and Robert (Linda) Craig of Wichita, Kansas.; daughters, Della (Richard) Kirkendall of Haysville, Kansas and Wanda (Larry) Nusz of Severy, Kansas; brother, Donald Craig of Derby, Kansas; sisters, Dorla (Alva)) Cook of Wellington, Kansas and Mondella Craig of Argonia, Kansas;  9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Wilbur was preceded in death by his children Earl and Earlene Craig, mother Cora Craig, father Issac Craig, brothers; Tom Craig and Harry Craig, sisters; Nadine Smith, Betty Nix and Olive Bennett. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011 at the Church of the Nazarene in Severy, Kansas.   Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Twin Grove Cemetery. Family suggests memorial contributions to the Church of the Nazarene Youth Group and may be left with the funeral home. Wilbur M. Craig, 90, of Augusta, Kansas, formerly of Severy, Kansas, passed away December 10, 2011 at the Susan B. Anthony Memorial Hospital in El Dorado, Kansas.  He was born on June 1, 1921 in Duquoin, Kansas, the son of Issac Roy and Cora L. (Burke) Craig.

Wilbur attended Kingman Country Public School during his grade school years, and he was a graduate of Belmont High School Class of 1941.  On July 14, 1944, Wilbur joined the United States Army and served during World War II.  After returning home,  Wilbur was united in marriage to Henryetta Pape on September 28, 1947, and to this union was born five children.  In his early years, Wilbur worked in the oilfield industry and later retired from his farming operation.  Wilbur was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Severy, Kansas.

He is survived by his wife, Henryetta Craig of Severy, Kansas; sons, Kenneth Craig and his wife, Dee of Washburn, Missouri, Merle Craig and his wife, Pat of Severy, Kansas, and Robert Craig and his wife, Linda of Wichita, Kansas; daughters, Della Kirkendall and her husband, Richard of Haysville, Kansas and Wanda Nusz and her husband, Larry of Severy, Kansas; one brother, Donald Craig of Derby, Kansas; sisters, Dorla Cook and her husband, Alva of Wellington, Kansas and Mondella Craig of Argonia, Kansas; nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.  Wilbur was preceded in death by his children, Earl and Earlene Craig; his parents; brothers, Tom Craig and Harry Craig; and sisters, Nadine Smith, Betty Nix, and Olive Bennett.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at the Church of the Nazarene in Severy, Kansas with Pastor Dave Warren officiating.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Countryside-Zimmerman Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, Kansas.  Interment will be at Twin Grove Cemetery near Severy, Kansas.  Family suggests memorial contributions to the Church of the Nazarene Youth Group and may be left with the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.countrysidefh.com.  Arrangements are under the direction of Countryside-Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas.
