Grenola Gazette:  Sunday, October 4, 1931, Mr. Emanuel Scyphers of Grenola and Mrs. Morilla Fenton of Rupert, Idaho, were united in marriage at the home of Mr. Scyphers' daughter, Mrs. H. A. Bowden, Rev. R. I. Kuhns, pastor of the M.E. church, officiating.

The following relatives were present to witness the ceremony, the groom's daughters, Mrs. John Schul and Mrs. Harry Bowden with their families, Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Ware; the bride's two brothers and their wives all from Garnett, Kansas.

Immediately following the marriage ceremony, which took place at 12:30, a sumptuous wedding dinner was served by Mrs. Bowden.

Mr. Scyphers needs no introduction to the residents of this paper as everyone knows him as an honest, upright citizen, a man who attends strictly to his own affairs, and is respected by all.  Mrs. Scyphers comes to Grenola a stranger, but those who have met her are favorably impressed by her appearance, and everyone has faith in Mr. Scyphers good judgement and feel that he has chosen a wife who will prove to be all she could be.

They are now at home in the lovely farm home of Mr. Scyphers northeast of town.
