Treva Fay Kramer, age 97, a longtime resident of Longton, Kansas passed away Saturday, September 17, 2011 at her home.  She was born April 22, 1914 in Weir, Kansas, the daughter of Alphard Millard and Anna Adelia (Blair) Atkinson. 

She attended the Hartford School north of Longton.  On April 22, 1937, Treva was united in marriage to Vincent John Kramer in Fredonia, Kansas.  For many years she worked in restaurants and was well-known for her home style cooking.  Treva was very involved with the activities of the family farm.  She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Longton.  She was also a member of the Helping Hand Club and the Friendly Fourteen.

Treva is survived by one son, Kenneth Kramer and his wife, June of Longton, Kansas and one daughter, Karen Cook and her husband, Elmer of Longton, Kansas.  Her grandchildren include Vincent Cook of Longton, Kansas, Shane (Marlene) Cook of Longton, Kansas, Kristine Kramer of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Joni (Joseph) Steffen of George Town, Grand Cayman, and Thomas Kramer of Pittsburg, Kansas; and step-granddaughters, Rose Puckett of Fairland, Oklahoma and Lavone Rials of Lawrence, Kansas.  Her great-grandchildren include Brock Cook, Gage Cook, and Seryn Steffen; and several step-great and great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vincent; and three sisters, Ruby Brotherton, Pearl Johnson, and Grace Howell.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Longton, Kansas with Pastor Jim Bob Thompson officiating.  Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Countryside-Zimmerman Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, Kansas 67349.  Interment will be at the Longton Cemetery.  The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Longton Senior Center or the Elk County Free Fair and may be left with the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.countrysidefh.com.  Arrangements are under the direction of Countryside-Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas.
