This is the thought for the day.
The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living.

"If one of the many corrupt...county-seat contests must be taken by way of illustration, the choice of Howard County, Kansas, is ideal." Dr. Everett Dick, The Sod-House Frontier, 1854-1890.
"One of the most expensive county-seat wars in terms of time and money lost..." Dr. Homer E Socolofsky, KSU

The sad part is that the people who work for a living gave those who vote for a living their jobs! Talk about biting the hand that feeds ya....

Speaking of jobs, I heard Honda is building a new plant in Mexico, 3,000+ jobs. Wanna sneak in? Are there no enticements to get  Honda to come here? Tax breaks for x number of years or something?

I am not totally sure what Frank meant by this post. But since I know him to be a rightous man of good intellect and wisdom. I will agree with this post. Some may say I am biased, which is true in this case, but I know Frank's wisdom and it should be given great consideration.

[edit] It is never fun being the only one in the room (forum) that doesn't get the joke. Who gets paid to vote? That is the part I don't get.
Breathe deep the gathering gloom,Watch lights fade from every room.Bedsitter people look back and lament,Another day's useless energy spent.Impassioned lovers wrestle as one,Lonely man cries for love and has none.New mother picks up and suckles her son,Senior citizens wish they were young.MoodyBlues

Those who vote for a living are in Congress! And they have forgotten who put them there.......

I don't think the numbers really quite work, but the sentiment is a good one. Congress can definitely vote to spend money faster than most of us can make it.

Thanks Lisa. Now I get it. I just kept drawing a blank on who voted for a living.
