 Think that is really was such a crappy speech? Lincoln thought it bombed, because the crowd was silent at the end.
  Historians got the reaction wrong by saying that the crowd was quiet at the end because they were so moved?
The author has interesting ideas of   "self-determination" in this case, not to mention of Lincoln .
