Thought this was interesting. A couple of surprise placements, I think. Several states ranked above Kansas that surprised me, and Alaska ranking so low.

Keep in mind who pays the bills at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University:

"The Mercatus Center was founded by Rich Fink, former president of the Koch Family Foundations, which funds a network of market-oriented think tanks and advocacy groups. Originally called the Center for Market Processes, it moved from Rutgers University to George Mason in the early 1980s before assuming its current name in 1999.
