Lavina (Smith) Hopper, age 101, formerly of Moline, Kansas, was born April 24, 1910 at Piedmont, Kansas to Oscar Lorraine & Martha Myrtle Smith. Lavina's last few years were spent in the Haysville Healthcare Center at Haysville, Kansas.  She passed away June 9, 2011.
   
Survivors include her daughters, Wanda (Charles) Cornwell of Reeds Spring, Missouri, Barbara (Robert) Hall of Haysville, Kansas, JoAnn (Bill) Connell of Irving, Texas, and Carol Smith of Woodland Hills, California; ten grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar, and her parents.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2011 at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Road in Derby, Kansas. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2011.  A memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202. Smith Mortuary of Derby is in charge of arrangements.
